In post 605, pieguyn wrote:Nacho, why are you scum reading Ceph and what were your reservations about BRO?

I'm not particularly scumreading Ceph. I'm not particularly townreading Ceph, although that's changed a bit lately.

I don't understand what BRO's posted that he couldn't or wouldn't post as scum. AP's point about consecutive miller claims is sort of horrible, and although I'm OK with his latest posting, I wouldn't call it top-tier townread material.

In post 622, Cephrir wrote:nacho acted as though he had quite a few scumreads before this

They weren't made up, but they weren't scumreads I felt particularly good about.
I usually tilt pretty hard at Empire/Tammy early game if they feel even a little off because it makes their worlds a little more difficult if they are scum.
I thought AP's opening was a bit awkward but I realize AP's openings are sometimes a little awkward and felt completely OK when he started posting.
I didn't feel anything about Mala when I voted her.

GM's first post was a pretty strong scumtell for me, and I really didn't like the followup at all; this is a "real" scumread to me. I think Syryana is scum, but that's not a "real" scumread, it's more of an inclination.

No.
I don't think he acts exactly the same in every scumgame because he's a good scum player.

I don't think it was overdone.
Dramatic, yes, but well within town-range.

I'll be cautious of BRO, but so far I think his presence has been good The things hes opted to discuss are pretty much what I'd expect from him, his reads are solid, and I think the claim is really bold from scum in this scenario. Which maybe he could be doing, but I dont think he is.

P-edit: But, but... Ceph is too adorable to lynch.

I realize this piece in particular isn't coming out how I want it to, so let me know if you need clarifications.

mysterious scumread-tested; cephrir-approved.

i don't know if i'm hugely enthused about disliking gm for having no scumreads; i can kind of empathize with that as i have been having difficulty developing scumreads as well. however, perhaps this is less typical of her than it is of me.

i like everything else you said though. i am reminded of why people think you're good at this game!

VOTE: GM

it's nice to be a little more enthusiastic about something.
