So this is Deal or No Deal. It's pretty much the same as ever, but for those who have never heard of the game here's a brief summary of the rules:

• There are 26 cases, each containing a dollar amount between
  50c
  and
  $200,000
  .
  
• At the start of the game, you choose one of these cases to become "your" case. If you keep this case to the end of the game, you will win whatever the contents of this case are.
  
• The game progresses in a series of rounds. Each round, you choose a number of the remaining cases to open, revealing their values and discarding them from play. The number of cases to open starts at six, but decreases every round until round 6 and on have only one case to open. You cannot choose your own case to open.
  
• At the end of each round, Walter P. Smythe (the "Banker") will make an offer to purchase your case. Should you accept this deal, you will win the amount offered and
  forfeit
  the contents of your case. Therefore, the objective is to trust your gut, play the odds, and sell your case for more than its value.
  
• The final offer is made when there are two cases left: yours and one other. If you refuse this final offer, you simply win whatever is in your case.

Well, that's the easy part. Down Under, we do things with a little more flair.

Read these rules, even if you know Deal or No Deal

:

• Every case (except the one you choose for yourself) is manned by one of the players in the queue. If there aren't 25 players in the queue, the remaining positions will be filled by bots.
  
• When you select a case, the person manning the case will have the opportunity to guess the contents of the case. If correct, they instantly win $500 for themselves.
  
• Yes, cases opened later in the game will have a better chance of being guessed correctly. Feel free to plead with the contestant to have your case opened later if you want a better shot at it.
  
• Note that for the sake of expediency, the contestant will choose every case in a round at once, and the people who need to guess will have 24 hours to do so (concurrently), at which time all the cases in the round will be opened simultaneously and the bank offer will be given.
  
• The Australian version of the show also had some special features to keep things interesting. Perhaps the most common of these was the "Megaguess", which increased the prize for guessing correctly for a single case to (up to) $10,000. A Megaguess will be announced at the start of a round, and the contestant will choose which case the Megaguess is applied to.
  
• There are a lot of other special features which may show up under certain conditions. These will be explained when they appear.
