I realize you asked him to claim and such, but please bear in mind that it is customary and expected on the site to make it extremely clear when you have put someone at L-1 so that nobody accidentally hammers unintentionally. Unintentional hammers can absolutely destroy a game. There's a very strong set of reasons for why we do things the way we do, and even if you don't see the point, please at least make an attempt to do so in games on the Road to Rome. If you choose not to do so in other queues, just be aware that people will very often scum read you for putting someone at L-1 without saying that you've done so.

This is an absurd post, AI. Seriously. Consider the possible PR setups:

1/3 of the time, there will be only one PR among 7 town. The other 2/3 of the time there will be two among 7. Even if we are in a two PR setup, the odds are stacked heavily against any particular person being able to honestly claim anything other than VT. It almost looks as if you are scum and were hoping to combine what you know with a PR claim to know the setup or something.

I agree with everything Drixx says there.

This Matrix6 setup thingy makes claiming on D1 anti-town in every situation as far as I can tell. Scum pretty much have to claim VT as a PR claim informs the real PR they're scum (only a 33% chance of claiming a PR that won't do that), and as every setup has more VT than anything, what do you learn? And if a PR claims, they better hope it's with a Doctor in the house. And what should doctor claim? Anything other than the truth and "lynch all liars" becomes an issue.

So we have pignash and AI asking for claim. On my original read list, that's most scummy and third most scummy.

This day has gone on much longer than I anticipated, due to patchy activity and the fact that nobody's reads seem to match up.

I put my vote on NicTheRat, to get some responses from him. I was prepared to do so because his first post in the thread was a teensy bit scummy ("Hi, I'm nooby, did I mention how nooby I am, what should PRs do tonight lads, I'm sorry for nooby question"), and his predecessor was a bit feisty when pressured with accusations.

I literally cannot get a good read on AI. From post to post, I go from town-lean to scum-lean and round-and-around. I'll admit: I'm bamboozled. But I don't like him asking for a claim on D1, at all.

Drixx...I'm back to Null. I'm fairly sure that he and AI aren't scum together, because his last post is way too much for bussing (unless it's literally genius!)

Bella doesn't post enough, both in terms of #posts and quantity of content per post to read her. Hopefully this changes in D2.

I lean town on Accountant, RR and Christopher.

And then there's pignash, who was my strongest scum lean (in part due to his predecessor), until he made 3 or 4 posts in a row which had me doubting myself. But now...he's asking for a claim? And he didn't explicitly put L-1.

If I was advising someone else, I know I'd say "At this stage, vote for your most scummy."

The funny thing is that I wouldn't take this risk as scum, but I am pretty sure Nictherat is scum, along with KAAG (who is acting scummier with every post).

I am quite confident about my reads. But since there is always a slim chance that I am wrong, it would be foolish to not verify this simple fact. Even if he is town, then I have narrowed the scum pool to such an extent that town will win anyway (even if he is NK'ed because of his hypothetical PR).
