My concern is also that I'm moving at the end of the month so my roommates might not be particularly thrilled with tons of people in the house. I'd much rather have it all centralized too. We'll see. I'm making enough money to afford it right now but my job is ending and I'm in the middle of getting a new one. If that comes true I have no problem fronting the cost to make it a better experience for everyone all around.

Chicago has good public transportation - it shouldn't be a problem (may take a while, but that's b/c Chicago is massive)

There's a pretty significant price different between flying into MDW and O'Hare.
Which is better for this meet?

I would recommend flying into whichever one is cheaper. At worst, you lose about an hour to an hour and a half on metro.

ORD-Blue to Loyola-Red is 1 hour, 18 minutes.

MDW-Orange to Loyola-Red is 1 hour, 22 minutes.

So it's about the same.

this is because I am planning on doing some meet swag, which will include at the very least a Chicago Meet mafia card deck.

Which leaves us a lot of roles to put in the deck in addition to that.
