Summary

Party groups up with two new additions, and boards a ferry run by a jolly old man named Cpt Claus, and his trusty deckhand, Lloyd. It is the only operating ferry between the island and the mainland. PCs arrive and meet Aaron the Butler, and Serria Lunagard. They exchange greetings. Serria says that she is going to stay and wait for her sister's arrival. Aaron leads them down through the woods to the mansion. There is a fork in the road, one which leads across the bridge deeper into the woods. Aaron explains that it leads to an abandoned mansion, and to stay away from it.

They arrive at the Lunagard mansion eventually. All except Avina are escorted to the guest house, serviced by a little girl maid named Alice. They also run into Ether Liridian, a pianist and a scholar. They eat brunch and half of them head out into the trees to investigate the abandoned mansion. They run into some unusually large wolves and Lor almost gets eaten, but they manage.

Avina runs into her aunt, Julia, and her eldest son, Elliot, and his fiance, Primrose Everley. Julia mocks her weapon and trips Primrose intentionally before leaving. Elliot apologizes on her behalf and he and Primrose leaves to get some fresh air. Avina also runs into William, Julia's second son. He greets them and walks back into his room.

Aaron the butler informs her that dinner plans have been cancelled, because the meat set out has gone bad. Avina and friends offer to help, but Aaron says that Rook is taking care of it. To learn more about what is going on, Avina and co. goes to the guest house and talk to Alice. They learn that Nolan Lunagard was killed in a hunting expedition near a river bank, according to his friend, Lord Mycon, who was on the hunting trip with him at the time.

I can figure out how to write more macros for myself if you tell me what macros to write (i.e. what my output should look like).

You did awesome. You handled the wolf at your end quickly and bravely rescued GIF from doom in the wolf encounter.

I'll PM you the code I used for shocking grasp channel. You can play around with it and write your own macros.

The macros are not too difficult for me to do, I just don't know what moves I should be writing macros for. All my spells? Only the touch channel ones? The spring attack thing someone was talking about?

You should write macros for all touch channel spells, and for when you quick cast and channel at the same time. (a.k.a. "dual-cast" or "channel and a bonus shocking grasp")

You might also want to write a macro for normal attack, in case you're attacking and you ran out of spells or something.

Also, you should consider fighting defensively. (and writing a macro for it)

It simply means when you attack, you voluntarily take a -4 to your attack rolls, and gain +3 AC for that turn. You can use this whenever you are attacking in melee. (whether you attack normally, channel, cast shocking grasp, etc)

You'll have spring attack at lv 9, which is next level.

It lets you split up your move actions before and after you attack, so you can dash in and out of melee range. (this is useful because enemies bruisers tend to have full attacks which restricts them to a 5ft steps only)

It doesn't require a new macro, since the attack roll you make is no different than usual.
