Beautiful picture. Do you remember the source website? I'm starting to make a lot of 3.5 characters (Usually I just make 5E or Pathfinder characters. This is my first 3.5 campaign) and I'd like to look at some good images.

Regarding solo adventures and split parties, I don't mind them so long as the players involved are conscientious that there are other players at the table and we only get about 3 hours to play per week. I didn't have an issue with Who's solo adventure, but I was also doing other things, so I'm a little biased (although I was part of an air brigade that got tpk'ed and wasted an entire session, so I think I can understand how some of the other players might feel about being relegated to spectate).

Regarding my solo adventure, I didn't realize it took so long and was not expecting it to take so long. I was expecting it to take more like 10 minutes, in which case I felt it would have been reasonable. Given that it took 30 minutes I regret it. Also, in regards to my next solo adventure, again, I was not expecting it to be a solo adventure. I was expecting it to be a quicker way of finding the anaconda so that I could get everywhere else there, and then hopefully save the girl. (As opposed to if we were looking for it on foot, in which case the NPCs would probably have found it first because they started earlier, and then died). Also I'm probably going to die so don't worry I'll get punished for it. (I have plenty of spells to protect me, but there's nowhere to run and I probably won't be able to kill whatever it is on my own, usually I just distract/disable enemies while the party takes them out)

Also, we did in fact gain information from it in addition to confirming the information we got from an NPC: We found out that there was a zone of silence, and that the foes were invisible and could fly. We also know their approximate damage per round. Also that there were dangerous enemies in addition to just strange magic, but that part is not surprising.

Who, this has nothing to do with whether it was a good idea or bad idea, or how well you were prepared, or what the outcome was, or how long it took you, or what you managed to learn from the scouting.

All I'm saying is that the solo option exists in this campaign because I said so, and I want everyone to be able to exercise it without fear of people getting angry.

@Who - This time absolutely makes sense, since it's proven to be life or death. The other time didn't, to be honest. You had taken a vote, and the group had voted to not go there. The place was rumored (almost proven, but whatever) to be dangerous (source: Ether) and you were going alone. It didn't fit the situation, no matter how reckless your character was.

I don't know if you let others know, but you did tell me it was going to be an option for this campaign and I told you I was fine with it. I also think spur of the moment decisions can be fun and exciting. It kind of reminded me of Keyleth in that one series.

Who will arrive first upstream due to his speed.

I will play this before the session starts.

Whoever is leading between Danum, Ether, and Avina will roll a survival check DC 10 to not get lost. If they get lost, ConMan will find them when he is on his way to the upstream after having dropped off Michelle. If they don't get lost, they will arrive upstream some time after Who.

I will play this first when we meet on Sunday.

Kat, Lor, and Seline's group follows the road down to the fork (downstream), and they find the upturned ferry with the signs of a body being dragged out of the river, and then some time afterwards, it was dragged back in underwater.

I will play this second when we meet on Sunday.

We should have enough time to get through all of this in the reduced time we have.
