I was just questioning someone who my vote is on which felt good enough to me for now.

Since there's a ~.3 chance of actually striking scum right now I think it's prudent to be patient and choosey about how to do this.

Public Service Announcement:

Someone has recently asked me if crumbing counts as breaking the rules. This has never been the case (since people crumb roles in every game, and often unintentionally). However, I will explain it once and for all this game.

Crumbs are not cryptic messages. Crumbing is dropping hints about your role in the things you say. Not in the actual syntax of it.

e.g.

This is

crumbing

: "I'm 100% positive that ___ is mafia. One another note, I'll likely die tonight."

This is a

cryptic message

: "I wish that you All would stop Messing around. After how far we've Come, we could lose the game, On top of having lynched a Power role."

The capital letters spell out I AM A COP. That's a cryptic message.



tl;dr cryptic messages are "puzzles", more or less. Crumbing is merely letting people make implications.

In regards to scumhunting, I don't have any real definition, I tend to go with my gut. Like you said there's a lot of ways. But it doesn't seem like you're trying to look for scum.

I have newbie town reads on both hasta and number one. Good for them, I guess, but wow, that 376 and 382 exchange.

Arist, hasta, number, and dwlee are my fellow townies. We're a good group. I am going to leave Johnny out of it for now. I hate to admit I was wrong, but reading him in ISO I'm not sure what I saw, other than a few fun early posts. Whatever. It's early, I'll figure it out.

Don't know if I was right or wrong about dwlee but here's my thoughts on current events.

I see the case on Ria and I do agree with it to some extent i'm apathetic towards him. I don't care if he lives or dies today.

What does peak my interest through is the people reacting to ria. Especially the joke bit which to me wasn't clear as a joke.

Another event is people trying to build town blocks forcefully no that's not what you do you let them build naturally when you mutually town read each other you don't try to force them. Other than that town blocks are ok but it seems everyone and there uncle is trying to form or get in one.

Also what is up with these forced johnny town reads that pop up every once in a while. He post superficial shit you should be null or scum reading him at most depending on your outlook on things.

I am hopping this game picks up day 2 because day 1 was a horrible start.

I dont scumread castle (at least now.) Dwlee was just counterpressure, but the fact he made a case and dident even defend it is odd to me. The fact he dident defend it makes me think he is scum pushing a bad case.

What I really dislike about SRMP's posting is that after all this fluffing about, awkward poking and peculiar questioning, SMRP is still extremely vague about any of their reads. I thought that 334 felt kinda town, but again it is really unclear as to whether SRMP scumreads hasta for it or merely wants to say that hasta's logic is flawed.
