One time gypsylord and I almost won a 2-investigator game with all board expansions, Cthulhu Ancient One, and using both Father Dagon and Mother Hydra.

Tbh I don't really know how we did it.

I've yet to play it at a meet, but I've been interested. Let's play if it I'm able to make it up there. I hope I don't have a crappy medicine rotation that week.

I'll do my best not to be overbearing.

That's the real trap in co-op games - making sure everyone has fun and that it doesn't turn into "The best player micromanages everyone."

I thought it was something where the point was the atmosphere/experience (ala Betrayal, but more complicated and less accessible).

Mansions of Madness is better for that

Arkham Horror is very optimizable.

That sounds basically similar to Betrayal prior to the betrayal, except without the player-favoring trajectory.

It also has a win condition and is, like, pretty hard.

So my bank account has fraudulant charges ($1,000 worth at liquor stores, fast food, as gas stations) and the first thing I thought of was this thread lol. maybe one of you guys can kick some ass for me.

Seriously though, on top of having my bank fix it, should I call chicago Pd and have them watch cameras to find this asshole?

These were nominally charged to your debit card?

1) Contact your bank and report the fraudulent charges. Also get a replacement debit card with a new card number.
2) Ask what further steps you can take. I'm much more familiar with how to deal with fraud with credit cards.
3) Contacting the Chicago Police won't do anything.
4) Get a credit card for fraud protection.

Yeah, I was mostly just joking about that fact that it was in Chicago and there's gonna be a meet there. But the bank is giving me the money back and pressing charges themselves because once they give the money back the loss is theirs. Also closed that account (it was a shared one with my wife and we each have our own).

I would recommend also getting a credit card and using it for transactions instead of a debit card.

Also watch your credit report for new accounts that aren't yours

Holy shit egg, sorry! I've had that happen before and it sucks. Bro gives good advice though. I now use a credit card for everything except in store debit purchases and then pay it off at the end of the month. It's much safer that way and you don't have to worry about it interfering with your bank account if it happens again.

This recently happened with one of my credit cards and they shut it down immediately and no fraudulent charges were even allowed on the card. (Some companies will text you if a large purchase is made and won't let your card be used until you respond.)

I'm like 95% sure I can go to this meet. I'll probably buy tickets soon. I'm thinking I'll head down late Thursday and come back late Sunday.

Hey yeah that's a relevant thing to know. Sunday will probably consist largely of leaving, won't it. So like, if I left on Sunday afternoon, that wouldn't be weird.

I am hoping to be there.

There's one case that may go speedy trial that I need to resolve before hashing out the final details. If that goes in the unfavorable manner, I will have to out. *fingers crossed*
