@Yos why does the vt claim affirm your read?

It doesn't affect how likely he is to be scum. However you should not bandwagon someone to a claim unless you plan to lynch them if they don't claim a power role or something confirmable. If you banwagon person A to a claim, get a VT claim, then bandwagon person B to a claim, get a VT claim, and then bandwagon person C to a claim and he claims doc, then you've just outed the doc and 2 VT's on day 1 for absolutly no reason. Just basic mafia strategy

Hm ok I see your point. I thought you meant that the claim strengthened your read.

I can see myself coming over to DS but I really think dwee is scum here. His change from town to lean scum? on DS(While avoiding to vote)and his change from scum to town on Brian based on 1 post are awkward.

I get bad feeling all around from his play. It is partially gut but yea.

I agree with Yosarian on this and recognize that it's pretty much site meta; PR Claims equal survivability. You can spare a mislynch testing a VT claim, because you're probably running up the claimant to lynch because they're anti-town anyway.

On this site, the only reason for scum to ever claim VT is in open setups and/or if they're specifically trying to play against this meta point. I've seen goons and godfathers hack out a VT claim and skate by on it, but they're always more likely to be lynched than a PR claim.

The way that Diamond claimed was awkward, imo. The holdout of flavor info and hesitance to claim were both strange, especially since I claimed unprompted earlier and was fairly townread for it. I wondered if that hesitance came from the fact that my claim was a PR claim that seems to have gotten me townread as a result--I also did not claim any of my flavor, though. I don't know if the game revolves that closely around me, though, so maybe this was me seeing it a bit cynically? Regardless, I don't know exactly what to make of Diamond's claim, and perhaps that's a reflection of my own deductive shortcomings.

Any conclusions you draw from his claim are predicated on him knowing site meta re: PR claims.

I think I made a fairly solid case for conclusions drawn from this singular game, too.
Diamond Sentinel just did finish playing in my recently modded SaGa Frontier game, but that was role madness.
So, at the very least, that's a meta point.

I'm still not liking DS' scum read on DGB when I have a huge town read on that slot.

Just because I'm one of the newer ones doesn't mean I don't know site meta.

Also, to be honest, I don't particularly want to get lynched D1, so I had considered making up a fake claim since VT claims are fine lynches. But that's bad play, and I don't particularly want to avoid a lynch enough to potentially screw over the town.

Although, I might have been able to avoid a kill on a PR by claiming something extremely powerful. Bah. I dunno what I should have done, if this was the wrong idea.

PEdit: Stop being stupid. Just because someone has a differing opinion than you doesn't make them scum.

Also, I want to say that the likelihood is, with flavor claims provided, that the flavor claims are all for roles with abilities. I don't think that the mod would have mentioned them if he gave out VT flavor claims. But I dunno. That's just setup speculation. But still, food for thought.

Finding one good suspect and hammering away at them until they either manage to change your mind or don't can absolutely be an effective scumhunting tactic. You only have to find 1 scum a day, after all.

And it's weird that you would say otherwise; how many suspects do you have today?

Only 1. So now you're holding me at a double standard. Great.

Maybe you should start listening to people who think my frustration is genuine. They might just be right...

And I don't care if you don't want to answer it, if you don't, then you're playing poorly, ABR. Answer the fucking question.

Null-Scum. I don't feel like explaining it right now.

Diamond said that he had a scum read of DGB because of the whole "lurking as scum" thing and was trying to hard push it. He then claimed it was a reaction test but kept his scum read of DGB which is what I don't get, varsoon. DGB strikes me as super townie so like ???

Also, you put muffin down at the bottom of your readslist, as your only full scumread; that's fine, but you're still voting Dwlee, who's still grouped in with DGB, who you just said was all just a reaction test.

I'd honestly be down for lynching muffin. I'm like very sure of myself that DS is scum, here, though, especially after "oh all that stuff I said? Reaction test." That's just, none of that is true.

Vars, I get that snarky is virtually useless, but tbh if we're going to base it on a dream you had i'm not really feeling that lynch.
