Only like 5 spells are evil. Most necromancy spells are perfectly fine. Stop with the prejudice against necromancy.

I know someone who ate a TPK from one of those. Actually I don't think it was an entire TPK, I think it was a half TPK. But like, they weren't playing with a DM like FG, their FM didn't enjoy murdering players.

I'm also willing to play cleric, reflavored warlock, sorcerer, or some sort of rogue depending on what we need.

Does changeling work with war shaper?

Also, would it be a valid build to dip into a bunch of full BAB classes and just get the level 1 abilities of all of them?

I'm reconsidering that choice because when I said that my mind was set I didn't know frenzy triggered upon any damage lol

Would the following build work?
Changeling Barbarian 1/Fighter 2/Ranger 1/War Shaper 4/Some other PrC with full BAB, or if I can't find a good one just barb 1/Fighter 3/War Shaper 4/Fighter X
Weapon: Greataxe
Feats: Power Attack (L1), Cleave (Fighter 1), Mad Foam Rager (L3), something else, maybe weapon focus or improved Init? (Fighter 2), Great Cleave (L6)

General combat strategy:
At lower levels, hit things. At higher levels, at L7 I get morphic reach from War Shaper, meaning I can hit anything within 10 feet. This plus cleave means hit ALL THE THINGS.
Oh and also if I could get enlarged and hit anything within 15 feet that would be great.

I believe a Changeling's favored class is Rogue, so you would be susceptible to multiclass penalties on this one.

So either PrC or just keep dipping into full BAB progression base classes.

Changeling has the shapechanger subtype, which qualifies it for the War Shaper prC.

It's a very viable build. I've seen it done once in the pre-power attack optimization era, and it dominated the board.

Cool, I'll be that then. Possibly altering the feats a bit (Mad foam rager seems nice, but I might need something else to qualify for the next PrC)

But what happened to wizard supremacy?

1. Someone needs to carry cabbage.
2. Wizard supremacy is based on three things:
a) Their ability to snap their fingers outside of combat and magically fix all problems
b) Their ability to snap their fingers inside of combat and magically fix all problems
c) Their ability to not end up obsolete at any level (That is, b stays true)

a) is rendered less relevant than normal by your love of combat.
b) this build seems also capable of helping with, even if it isn't snap fingers magically effective, it's pretty useful and won't end up useless at higher levels.
c) I have found to be false for conjurers, and transmuters seem boring early on.
(a and b are false for enchanters, a and c are false for evokers, a seems false for necromancers but if the necromancer still has access to the other schools, idk I should try necromancy at some point, c is false for illusionists, b is false for diviners/generalists due to lack of spell slots, and I don't know about abjurers but they seem to be lacking in b)
3. I came up with this build without looking up guides on the internet, it seems fun. (Though it was partly inspired by Quadz' build for Mo'ak. The Cleave part, not the Barbarian dip part, barbarian dip was because I was looking at barbarian and realized it didn't get much after L1. I was originally thinking Barbarian 1/Ranger 1/Fighter 1/Duskblade 1 for fun, but I decided fighter's second feat would be better than any dip into any other full BAB class)
(While Conjurer wasn't copied from any internet guides, it used their guiding principles and drew from their spell lists. This was from me looking at PrCs in Complete Warrior until I found a fun one)
Also, this gives me a better understanding of the other side of combat, it will make me a more effective wizard when I go back to being a wizard.

With an enchanter and good enough DCs on

charm

spells, everything can be non-combat.
