FG, a question about artificer:
Step 1: Wand of phantasmal killer (21k to buy, so 10.5k to make)
Step 2: Heighten to L9 (6 charges total, including the casting)
Step 3: Wand mastery+GSF(Illusion)+Gnome = 10+9+2+2+1+int (Probably 7)=DC 31
Step 4: Dead boss
Step 5: Get the other people to take out the mooks and/or use your heavy machine gun.

I'm pretty sure you can't use Heighten with metamagic spell trigger, and even if you could, wands are capped to 4th level spells max anyways.

You have to use the minimum DCs for wands. You cannot use spell focuses and racial bonuses to DC.

Yes, your DC is going to be pathetic. That's why you use no save spells like orb of force.

One of my RL friends will be coming to play with us for the first session, since we don't have DS or Lilith next Sunday.

I don't know if he will be joining in the future. There are a lot of players already.

Just think of it as a test run, and make a good impression.

I don't know what class he is playing, and you should not take his class into account for the party composition.

Also, can you use Channelling with Spring Attack and Bounding Assault? I know it requires quite a few feats, but I'm still intrigued by it.

Well, a summary of Who and my thoughts in sitechat.

Basically, first and foremost, Act 1 would be the best for this. No spoilers, and I'll 100% be there for most of it.


After that, if we did that, I (won't speak for others after that, but it seemed Who and I agreed) would love to have a party of GiF, Who, DS, and Mick. It's a really optimized party, with a DPS/Tank, DPS, Support Mage, and Cleric.
