That logic seems iffy.

Mm... yeah, that's fair. Admittedly the reasoning is different for each scenario, but I see your point. Of course, reads based on the possibility of Pants flipping town are pretty tentative- Orange being scum is
less
likely in that situation, but I think I could still believe it.

So Orange is a large scumread for you no matter what
- what pushes Pants further on the scum scale than that to suggest the lynch order you've chosen?

Bolding mine, to emphasize the part I never actually said. I'm leaning scum on Orange, yes- but that lean is only strong if Pants flips scum. Otherwise it's just a slight lean, as I said above. Think... think the difference between being okay with lynching someone, and actively pushing to lynch them. Likewise, in the case of Pants, there's significantly more evidence to point to them being scum, so my scumread on Pants is much larger, as you put it. So the order is because which way Pants flips determines how I read Orange, and because my read on Pants has more to back it up.

Prepare for dissapointment.

See. Stuff like this. They get prodded, and instead of trying to defend themselves or answer any of the questions posed to them they respond with... this. A townie would at least be
trying
to defend themselves- or, if not that, then at least giving out last thoughts so people have more information when they flip town. To not even try is... very not town, in my eyes.

In post 263, Orange wrote:
monogarden- Agrees with Thor's case against Pants, Pants is their primary scumread outside of Grendel. Thinks case on Pants is solid but shouldn't be pushed as hard? Could be soft defending, maybe. As of D2, okay with voting Pants.

Can you expand on this? How would your read change if Pants flipped town?

Mmm... gimme some time to ISO mono, I'll get back to you tomorrow or Monday. As to if Pants flips town... honestly, at this point I see at as so unlikely that I want to take a "we'll burn that bridge if we come to it" approach, but I should probably give it serious thought so I have my reads out there if it does happen. Which, admittedly would require reevaluating pretty much everything, so I guess give me some time for that as well.

What do you find scummy about me? I can address it to some degree if you point it out.

What do you think about Monogarden?

252 covers my thoughts on you pretty well- you came in reading Pants as town without ever really explaining why, said you'd get to an explanation on your apparently changed thoughts on them but never did, voted PC (which is the least scummy part of it but still relevant), and then only actually voted Pants on D2, which is after a scum partner would've had time to plan out bussing him, with the hammer as a plausible excuse. And, monogarden I covered (well, said I will eventually cover) above.

Okay, while that whole readthrough was very entertaining, your strongest townreads are my primary scumread and the one I consider to be the most likely partner, and you think I'm probably scum and also apparently in the business of selling waffles? Which I still don't understand, but regardless. Entertaining as that was, it was more reactions than reasoning, so I'd like to know why you're viewing things the way you are.

With the caveat that I had to go back and look at a game of ours to get a broader feel for what I've seen from you before.

Well that does serve as an alternate explanation for your reaction, Mr. Fork.
I felt like you were trying to discredit my read on you outright which felt scummy because I felt like you'd at least try to work with me if you were town.
So I'll move on from that.

The purpose of this exercise wasn't to show any thought processes to anyone, it was to get me personally on track about the game.
My primary scumread is also your tertiary scumread is also sufficiently obvscum that I expect the votes to pile on so I'm going to actually not do much else of note.
I'm not much for wallposting and intensely debating the relative scum merits of various plays. That ain't me.

If it'll take a case to get Grendel lynched though, I may be able to cook something up.

It served two purposes

1) To provide a structured way to force me to close read the game thoroughly and get my notes down on paper.
2) To show you that I'm actually coming from somewhere even if you don't fully understand it.

It's not really meant for your consumption so much as it is giving you a general picture of what I thought about different points in the game.
