I would like to point out that the NMRs last phase was not a modding issue. Players concerned with deadlines, who didn't submit orders, would have asked for more or posted tentative orders and what not.

The only ones who complained, had actually submitted their actions well before deadline. Its on the players to make sure that they check the game atleast twice a day, and bring out their concerns with the game. 18 Hour deadline is pretty sufficient to mention that it wouldn't work out for you. Considering 24 hour deadlines were used earlier in the game.

Giving Four Day / Five Day deadline is not the issue, but what exactly do you all want as a deadline?

3 Days / 1 Day / 12 Hours are pretty standard deadlines used for the game.

We have reached less than 1/3rd of the players we started off with, so reducing the deadline from a Mod's perspective is pretty legit Imo.

If you didn't get what you wanted, its not because of the Mod. No hard feelings, just fyi.

1 day deadlines should be fine. People's issues with the last deadline is that you had it set for 9 hours, Gale.

I can say 1 day deadlines are fine but sometimes... they aren't fine at all. Like, stuff happens and I can't always get to my computer. I get that's on me but whats a guy to do?

Nah, the initial one was set for 12 hours, and then extended to 18 hours. Probably it was the 9 hour mark that you guys saw the thread. I agree that the deadline reduction could have been concerning. But Fluminator had mentioned the possibility of it earlier, and I have seen you guys complain about longer deadlines. Especially when retreats / build orders are needed along with the phase orders.

Tbh, I have seen the whole game waiting for more than 20 hours on a single player who had no plans for submitting moves that phase (Mist pops to mind). The question is, would you want to wait till everyone has ordered or would you rather that people order at a reasonable deadline?

As of now, we can continue with 1 day deadline till end of game. Retreats from previous phases would add 12 hours more to the current phase. Build/Disband Phases would be 24 hours too.

If you cannot make a deadline, then please inform that you would like an extension ITT (Bolded) or via PM. Mentioning that you can't make a deadline is treated as 'you are indifferent to NMR'. Since you haven't stated as requiring an extension. (Will add this to the rules)

24 hours is the minimum I expected when I signed up, shorter than that is just silly and remains valid from the signup thread

Each phase will be 72 hours for the first 2 years. After that it will be shortened to around 24-48 hour phases.
