That's a question I've asked myself. I've seen both town and scum ask it, so it would depend on the intent. Town could ask it just to move the game along, or just to ask something, and can use it as some form of scum hunting. Scum ass it to try to pick out who they should read as scum. Personally, I've got some negative vibes from Postie, but nothing concrete.

It's kind of tough for a mafia to try to do honest reads already knowing who is town and scum beforehand. By posing this question to a town, depending how town answers, the scum can claim the answer as scummy. A scum could ask scum this question too, and if they have daytalk, even tell the other how to answer it to ensure he reads him as town for it.

That's true but it also seems like a pretty shallow interpretation of Severa's play.
Severa has a history of getting N1'd on their main, if that changes anything for you.
