I support hypocop. I recently read an article off site suggesting that waiting till ~d3/d4 to start doing so in large open setups with sane cops is optimal because in theory people faking results should have better reads then and it keeps scum from being able to narrow down the cop before they have accumulated many useful results. Not sure it is here though?

In thinking that directing the kill is better than not because I don't see the same value in reading off a king's choice than you do? I don't think that competent scum will be caught with their king choices and I also fear that competemt scum as king can make some decisions that are pretty freaking damaging to town and still possess wiggle room afterwards.

This is somewhat true. I don't think we should worry too much about this on day one though. On future days I think I might prefer will of the people. But at this point I think that seeing a king with an un-pre-declared target may give valuable information other than just about the king (i.e., people's reactions to the flip and their resulting opinions of the king).

As for brian, I like his response to camn. His politicking also feels town-motivated. This post in particular and the few after it make me feel like he's doing this in order to try to find the best method to use rather than just for the sake of discussion. I also like his changing from you to kats in response to nacho saying kats was doing more scumhunting.

I don't really have any sort of town read on Kastuki and think there's actually a greater-than-average chance that he could be a scum.

I will probably never vote Fate, even though he may very well be town, I just do not think he really seems like a very good player. Also, given his statement about cupcakes, I cannot see him as someone who has good judgment.

I would be fine with voting kuribo to be king since he could very well be town and I trust his judgment more than either of the running candidates (which, as of right now, looks worse than the presidential race in terms of possible choices).
