House already implied he went all in on Strongman. So he has it or knows someone else also bid 100 and he has nothing. (Hence why I said House might be a good day vig shot, read withstanding).

Is this serious? I considered doing the same thing (and announcing it post 1) but worried that multiple town might do this and waste a lot of cumulative town points.

I think knowing this information for fact will change night strategies. Maybe even day strategies.

Nope, that was my thought as well. Which is why I considered a few strategies pregame, and one was similar to house which is "screw it, I'll try to block scum from getting Strongman by throwing all 100 points at it"

If scum went all in on Strongman, that would still leave them 300 points combined for other roles they wanted.

I have similar town reads so far. I'd add cephir and to a lesser degree, muffin and grey ice have made a few points I like.

Or someone as town thinks "wow this guy considered the same strategy as me pregame (100 points on strongman, claim it very early in thread), so probably is town."

Game-Specific Mechanics

This setup is an open setup. There are 4 mafia members and 14 town members. Each player receives 100 points that they may spend however they choose amongst 30 different 1-shot roles. Whoever spends the most points on each role will receive that role.

In case of a tie for the highest amount spent, no one will receive that role.

After signups are complete, players will be sent their alignment.

The mafia private topic will be open during this time so that the mafia can discuss and coordinate.

I was thinking about this, and would it really be a bad idea? I mean, they take it out of town's hands, and not only that, they could cause a lot of WIFOM with it. Say she's scum, and neighborizes 4 (I think that's how many slots she said she had?) other scum. Town don't have the opportunity to scumhunt elsewhere, and then if she gets killed, we're forced to try to figure out who she would try to neighborize alignment wise. Would she neighborize her scumbuddies? If so, how many? I can see it more than likely making some people in the neighborhood townread on that alone, which would be fantastic for scum.
