He told us what he was supposedly thinking. You don't need to guess at it or interpret it.
Either way I don't think it's that damning.
There are lots of issues on D1 that aren't that damning. Small issues can lead to bigger ones. Is it your policy to defend anyone against a charge that you don't find that damning? I doubt it, so...why are you defending in this case?
I'm not defending him. I'm just providing my opinion on a game relevant conversation. Otherwise known as playing the game...
OK, so the scum have decided that they're going to push to lynch you, specifically, within the first IRL day of day 1, and care about accomplishing that so much that they'll double down rather than admitting their mistake when confronted with an obvious error. Why? What makes you so important that the scum are going to be putting themselves at risk to lynch you this early in the game?
Chumba, I'm confused. What is the difference between stating your opinion about something people don't like to explain why you don't think it is scummy and defending them?

I could potentially see you deciding to defend Kappy as town, but going back on it when you're called out? Pure self-preservation. VOTE: Chumba
I'm not sure you are even reading. I wasn't eve accused of defending kappy I was accused of defending sick.
The difference between giving an opinion and defending someone imo is, an opinion says I don't agree with you. Defending is actively trying to prevent someone from being voted/lynched

Per sibyl in order to play a twin game you have to read the thread and you didn't. No widom applies to this.
You were caught changing your story so its understandable somebody is going to call you on it. Why do you think only scum would call you on it and not town?

Yes, I made a mistake. Does this mistake impact my case against you in any way, and if so, how?

Also not sure why you typed this. I certainly didn't say this
OK, so if you don't think sick isn't scummy, why are you objecting to someone saying he is? For what purpose did you make that post? How did it benefit your win condition?
In post 83, MechaGoomba wrote:Yes, I made a mistake. Does this mistake impact my case against you in any way, and if so, how?
You have a case on me? No you don't. What you did was falsely accuse me of defending somebody and another false accusation of me of going back on it when called out
I have no read on sick atm.

So, you are adamantly claiming that you never defended sick or townread him and that everyone that thinks you did is an idiot that can't read properly.
Surprisingly, this makes me scumread you less. In new players, it's common for town to be obstinate under pressure, since they know they're town and can't get into the mindset of people that don't. Scum, on the other hand, know that they're scum and so tend to easily admit to scummy acts.
However, if you could cut down on the insults, I think everyone would appreciate it.

Those are your words not mine.
I never defended sick (I did however give my opinion on the pressure on him) and I never townread him.
I never said anyone who thinks I did can't read properly, I pretty much said you have had issues reading properly because you mentioned me defended kappy when I was accused of defending sick and again later when you said I dismissed percivul's read of sick when I did no such thing.
I'm also slightly confused as to your last request. I haven't insulted anybody at all this game. If you are offended by the reading comprehension comments I'm terribly sorry about that however that's on you. I suggest in the future if you don't want to be called out on it, you make sure you read properly before accusing people of things to make sure they are accurate.

In all seriousness, I don't see a good target for a serious vote yet. I don't think kappy is in danger of being quick-lynched, but I don't want to be implicated if it does somehow happen while I am away.
Your worry is about being implicated, and not the (highly unlikely) quicklynch itself?
I don't like kappy but it could just be playstyle silliness. This sounds like scum thinking.
It bothers me that this post got buried so easily, because it's 100% truth. VOTE: karnos

What, are you saying that he didn't really think a wagon was happening, but just had the thought that,
hey, if a wagon
were
happening, I'd be OK with that...
?

Yeah but he then said he didn't know he was hopping on a wagon, after saying that he did. That's the issue here, not the actual vote itself.
TBH I'm a little confused about where the argument that Chumba was defending anyone came from - I took her arguments as devil's advocate. Is that an incorrect interpretation?
In post 86, MechaGoomba wrote:OK, so have you always had a nullread on sick? If no, what caused your read to change? If yes, why did you reject Persivul's read of him?
Interesting daystart. Sickofit's inconsistencies in his explanation of the Kappy vote stood out to me as well, as well as the omgus in response to being called out on it. Let's see where this goes.
VOTE: Sickofit1138
Also keeping an eye on whoever is genuinely questioning/voting Kappy for the RVS self-vote

People don't generally get that invested in devil's-advocate arguments.

This is kind of funny if it's what I think it is.
You are of the opinion that 2 scum are voting the towniest-looking player in the game, start of day 1, and no one else is?
I'm afraid I have to ask why scum would ever do such a thing.
