Rolf



Rolf was born to an elf military family, named a human name after the human blacksmith Rolfan who was the best man at his parents wedding. His mother fought in her youth and her father was a loyal soldier until he lost the use of both of his arms in a skirmish with a pack of human brigands. Following this, his mother ended up cheating on his father with Rolfan and abandoned him, and while Rolf's older sisters Awerynn and Neyami did their best to produce sufficient money to purchase medication for her father and keep the family going, Awerynn ended up sent to another plane of existence when one of her spells misfired and Neyami was unable to produce enough money for all of them, leading Rolfan to eventually succumb to his injuries and pass away just as Rolf was reaching adulthood.

Resenting the military's treatment of his family, Rolf refused to have anything to do with them. To attempt to produce money, Rolf joined a crew of mercenaries but when they ended up becoming highwaymen, Rolf slowly became disillusioned. After a particularly brutal incident where a crew of dwarves were captured and held for ransom, Rolf freed the dwarves and helped them hunt down the remainders of his band. He joined their caravan and protected them on the roads for 12 years, before their trade route closed and he was forced to seek other employment. While he considered rejoining his sibling in the military, he was averse to the idea and sought work where he could be more independent.

A natural loner, Rolf spends most of his time alone in the natural realm or travelling when he is not otherwise engaged. He is somewhat awkward in conversation, Rolf is bound by a strong moral code that outweighs any other ties and would sooner die than fight with or leave unopposed a cause that he does not believe in. While he has somewhat of a distrust of humans due to his mother leaving them and his experiences with them, he is not xenophobic of other races in general and is willing to work with those that would otherwise be outcasts as long as they share his beliefs in justice. He has a particular fondness for dwarves considering that he is an elf. He has no formal military experience and can have difficulties with chains of command, but doesn't have difficulties working with other in general. He tends to be overly formal and somewhat taciturn with those that he isn't friendly with, however, and can come across as haughty.

But my understanding was that FG only had a particular set of allowable races for PC's. If you can be a glastig, then that's cool. I just thought the limitations for glastigs would make it weird for a playable race, but I guess it should be fine since we're in the last act.

Question about war shaper:
Morphic Reach gives Saag 5 more feet of reach "than the creature it's emulating". I had assumed that this was not doubled by spiked chain.

Inhuman reach (a banned feat I would assume works the same way as morphic reach) says:

You gain an additional 5 feet of reach. For most Small and Medium creatures, this benefi t increases natural reach to 10 feet. If you already have a reach of more than 5 feet for some reason, this feat extends your reach by another 5 feet. As described on page 112 of the Player's Handbook, a reach weapon doubles your normal reach; for example, if you have this feat and you wield a longspear, you can attack targets 15 or 20 feet away.

Can I hit things 30 feet away?

Items:
Anias, Saag, Moriko, Verdante, and Lukas all get items of continuous protection from evil. It can be cape or neck. (Or technically it can also be robe, but don't waste robe on PfE unless you already have a cape and a neck item. Robe can have any effect, cape and neck are far more limited. Also robe can't be worn with armor)
Lukas gets a new wand of CLW. Stewart gets his old one.
Saag gets boots of speed and vest of con+2
Verd gets knock into her spellbook, the party gets a scroll of knock (Casters fight each other over it. Or if you all want one we can get more)
Hana gets scroll of hold portal
Verd and Anias each get a scroll of instant search. (GIF, if you want this in your spellbook you can, but putting it into your spellbook costs as much as 5 scrolls, so unless you think that you will use it >5 times, or you'll make >10 scrolls, not worth it. It's unaffected by CL)
Someone gets a scroll of teleport (Casters fight over it. These are expensive, we could get a second but it's probably best to conserve)
Verd gets a scrying mirror (The focus required to cast scrying).
Lukas gets a scroll of neutralize poison.
Stewart upgrades his greatsword to +1
Lukas gets 2 unicorn horns. (Each one is a one-use item which gives a touch healing spell a 30 foot range. So now you can save people in an emergency without being near them)
Saag, Moriko, Verd, and Anias all get one potion of CLW each.
Saag, Moriko, Verd, Anias, Lukas, and Stewart all get a vial of antitoxin each (The enemies this campaign are liking poison). Also they get a sunrod.
Whoever has the best appraise gets a magnifying glass.
A 10 foot pole goes in the bag of holding

Nyx is a Glastig of the Unseelie Autumn court, who has spent all of her life, understandably, in and around her home pool and serving her court. For the most part, she has favoured the outskirts of the court, preferring not to become entangled in politics and pacts, while still being of whatever use she can be.

Often, creatures will come to her pool, man or otherwise, and the results truly vary upon her mood. For some, she would give them the blessings of her Goddess, among other carnal pleasures.

For others, the pool would be their watery tomb.

Recently, she was approached by the Queen of Light, a very powerful fae, revered as a Goddess. A task was assigned to her, one which her skills would be of use in, but would normally be impossible due to its location away from her pool.

The Queen's blessing, allowing her to move freely from her pool and out into the world, is but part of her promised rewards if she can complete her mission.

Nothing will stand in her way.
