In my case i only use 4 ranks "Super town" "Strong town" "Townreads" and "Leftovers" i usually lynch within the left overs, and "Super town" are people im 100% sure dont need reevaluation to the point of risking the game.

Do you have a "scum" rank that you use? Or are all scum just tossed into the leftovers. Will you ever use a "scum" rank?

Yeah all scum are tossed into left overs.
Rarely i do scumread people, but sometimes i do.
I just think that's it's easier for town to look town, than for scum, hence it's easier for me to find scum by finding town and employing PoE.

Phantom, walk me through your scumread of Luna and me. Do you think we're scum together?

Hops on a bandwagon (Karnos) and justifies it with RVS. Eventually townreads (Karnos), his vote, but parks it anyway. Posted multiple times (aka multiple oppurtunities to unvote) without unvoting. Justifies it with not having a chance to reread through everything.

Town should be unvoting in this spot to decrease the chance of a townread getting lynched. I can't see any logical reason as to why town would act this way.

Iirc, any townread on him was justified with "He's acting so idiotic and/or scummy that he has to be town" which is garbage logic in and of itself. Which then leads to my logic of "Worst case scenario, lose VI. Best case scenario, flip scum." Getting rid of VI is better now than to keep VI into late game, especially when considering lylo.

What is the theory scum strategy in doing that - is his hope people don't notice? (too late) Don't question? (unlikely) Or accidentally derp hammer? (again, unlikely).

this and the fact that in the game i referenced, Phantom lurked h a r d there too (and he was a powerrole lynched D1 :/) just really makes me think that this is not a lynch worth pursuing.

Eh, it's a fine Day 1 lynch for what it is - but I think people just have to be honest about the value of it as a tell.
I think a valid argument could be made for Karnos having sloppy play as well, and at least there's a vague framework of scum motivation to attach to it.

Well I think the reason is that reading quote walls is boring, ditto parsing mutual accusations of lying. Plus there's I think a natural tendency to read "they're fighting" as "probably t/t".

I mean, I suppose. But Karnos is not even making an effort to scumhunt outside of his wagon, nor does the fact he seemed legitimately concerned about the fact I'm scumreading him over Thor because of the RQS (initially) make him seem like he's thinking from a town-mindset (paranoia about appearance is pretty much something only scum really should feel in this set-up? especially after the small amount of pressure on him, it's just blown out of proportion).

What are your thoughts on the karnos wagon? Your predecessor expressed interest in it.

I could explain why in detail but it'd involve text walls and based on the way things have gone down I figure that town isn't actually interested. But some of the highlights:

1) as you just noted, his play has been highly defensive and inward-focused; very rarely does he engage with anyone who isn't suspecting him or addressing him (and ftr, this is NOT something he was "forced" to do, it's a choice about how he spends his time)

2) he's advanced a number of poor arguments (the "misspelling=scum" bit on io, twisting what Thor said in a few spots, notably the bit about the "100%" town read on you, etc)

3) 196 reads as pretty fake

Pps I still don't like Luna, but her postings weren't as weak as I thought on the second read through. And there are a number of other slots that really haven't done much either. Probably a coasting wolf somewhere in the game, but I'm really not sure who it'd be.

Why do you town read karnos? You said he was similar to your newbie game meta; but what did you think of the specific points raised against him? And if you don't want karnos lynched, what is your lynch pool you're willing to vote on? I see Luna, who else? Pc/Ross?
