OK, so here's the deal. I have an ability that lets me send a single message to another player each night. It's the same player each night, you, but I don't know who you are.

The moderator has confirmed for me that you could be of any alignment. For all I know, you were literally chosen at random when roles were assigned at the beginning of the game, so I can't automatically assume that you're town. I don't want to give you any information yet, because if you're scum, then I'm just playing against my own win condition by telling you anything.

So I'm gonna need some information from you. I want to know who you are, and what character you are in the flavor. The caveat, you can't reply to me in this message. Your only way to talk to me is in the game thread, so I've devised a plan. I need you to send me a coded message.

In your first post of day 2, start with "That night phase felt really [insert adjective]." The adjective, will tell me which class of hero you are.

Offense = "short"
Defense = "fast"
Tank = "long"
Support = "lengthy"

So if you are Junkrat, for example, say "That night phase felt really fast," because Junkrat is a defense hero.

Start the second sentence of that post with the first letter of your character's name. For example, if Junkrat, start the second sentence with a J.

This way, I'm not asking you to say anything that impacts the way people perceive you in the game. The first sentence, while scripted, is just filler. The second sentence can have whatever meaning you want. It just needs to start with a specific letter.

There are two problems with this, though. Roadhog and Reinhardt are both tanks. If you are Roadhog, start your second sentence with an H instead of an R.

Zarya and Zenyatta would be tough, because it's not easy to start a sentence with a Z. Instead, you can start your sentence with a T.

So as an example, if you are Roadhog, you would post something like this as your first post of day 2.

If you do this for me, I'll just go ahead and assume you are town. Night 2, I'll share with you who I am, all of the information in my role card, all of my reads, and anything else that could be helpful. We can use it kind of like a weird, one-sided neighborhood. I'll also give you more instructions if you want to communicate back to me within the normal game thread.

If you don't do this, I just can't trust you. I hope you understand that.

serrapaladin. In the case that you don't trust me, I'm gonna go ahead and just gamble that I'm sending this to town, since I already claimed a lot of my information anyway.

I'm podoboq. I am Widowmaker. I have two abilities. The first is Widow's Whispers which communicates with another player at night (I can use it after I die, fun fact), but the caveat is I don't know who I'm sending it to. I don't even know if they've already died. I still think it's possible that it's completely random, but if not, I think I might be talking to Wake88. There is a potential flavor justification for Widow to be whispering to Tracer, so if you're Wake, hey buddy, what's up?

My second ability is Recon Visor, which is a one-shot tracker shot that also gives me the target's name. I used that n1 on Vedith. I saw that he was Hanzo, and that he visited Tracer (the player, not the character). So I had a lot of thoughts on that, because I'm pretty familiar with the flavor. What could his night actions be? Most obvious, a factional kill, but obviously Tracer didn't die. Second most obvious, a vig shot, but again, Tracer didn't die. My last thought was that he ALSO has a tracker ability. In the game, Hanzo can shoot an arrow at a location, and then see the silhouettes of every character near that location. It's possible he motion-detected on Tracer (because it makes sense to target her with that). What doesn't make sense, however, is how that confirms her as town to him (unless his tracker shot gives him alignment for some reason), or how he townread random based off of targeting Tracer. Even if random visited (which he probably couldn't, because he flipped Reinhardt), it shouldn't communicate alignment to him in anyway.

Infact, if you know who I am and who I visited, then unless your IQ is below 5, you know exactly what I was saying today and know that I'm town.

I have no idea where this is coming from, because with the information I have, implying random is town based on moderator confirmed information (which is what he was doing) is bullshit. There's no way for random to actually be confirmed to Vedith unless he is scum.
