If they are both scum, they will lie about what they chose, and most likely choose the same.
If 1 is scum, do you think that they would risk picking the same? If they do, great.

Keep in mind, this is a new game, I don't think that we should go by the odds of people rolling scum again, as there are odds, that's good enough for me.

How is day talk any where near as good as recruiting the traitor?

Recruiting is the most powerful upgrade for the scum. I've never been in a game or hosted 1 where scum haven't taken traitor.

I mean, it doesn't hurt to discuss, and in all honesty, I was expecting a standard answer with the picks and it's interesting to see the type of players they are in the thought process.
Do I think this is relevant to the game? No.
Do I think this will help later in the game? No.

I mean, I can see the appeal with day talk, but from experience, the cost outweighs the rewards.

Daytalk is better imo because the tradeoff of recruiting doesn't really make it worth it. You don't have to guess who your third partner is, but you're giving town another pr (you're gonna want to guess who it is

what role they have) as opposed to only having to guess who the traitor is. I also really love daytalk because this game can change so so much over the course of a day, town can set traps etc. for scum and if town springs something unexpected on you and you want to bus/vote/do something else really risky and your scum partner isnt on the same page it can lose you the game.

Plausable, just not probably imo.
Both scum - They can lie
1 scum - Can easily adept, plus having another to influence them in the choices.
We only know very little about their type of plays from picks, and it only tells me that they have little experience with this setup.

It's also hard to tell things like day chat without a slip up, we can easily go all game and have no knowledge.

In the game I ran, the way roles ended up more abilities actually hurt scum. Not sure what they did here, but later in the day I have some strategy I can recommend.
