We really need to take Chimchar. Standard pokemon strategy is the Fire/Water/Grass defensive core, and Infernape is the best fire-type in the game.

budew, psyduck, abra, and lol magikarp are all not weak to rock. there are options lol
not that it matters cause chimchar learns mach punch at 14 when it evolves, which removes rock weakness and gives it STAB.
I've had more trouble with piplup soloing roark than chimchar soloing roark cause lol bubble has 20 power

hiplop sounds good to me. I suggest we name all pokes after scummers.
IIRC you can get pokeballs at this point (and Dawn gives you some for free). I vote we buy 10 pokeballs, 2 potions, 3 antidotes, and 1 Paralyze Heal with our money (should add up to the 3k we have). I also suggest we catch a bidoof for HM slaving down the road.

If you throw pokeballs right at the start of a fight until each Bidoof is caught, it will take on average 15 pokeballs to catch 5 of them, which is exactly how many we can buy. It's destiny.
You should buy 7 pokeballs and then 8 pokeballs so you don't accidentally get a premier ball though. That would ruin the whole destiny thing.
