Maybe. The other good NFC teams didn't have awesome outings either. Cards seemed like a good team with a weakness at CB#2.

There worrying thing for the Cards is that Carson Palmer looked at times like the Panthers finally got revenge for what the Cards did to Jake Delhomme.

Monday game takeaways:

[*] We haven't missed a beat despite injuries and suspensions. First quarter was a scare but after that it was all "lol jk got ya." We're gonna be Super Bowl contenders again if we can stay healthy.
[*] Cousins was pretty abominable tonight. Redskins defense collapsed against us, if they can't hold against a Super Bowl-level offense they are probably not going to repeat as division winners. I was of the opinion they got super lucky last year and this only confirms my bias against them.
[*] I work early morning so I'm not staying up for a 10PM game between dumpster fire teams lol

Now we've seen all the teams play, the Cards are still a contender in that dumpster fire division.

Over/Under Jeff Fisher fired mid-season?

I said entire NFC not just NFC west, there are analysts that have cards going to the superbowl and a few have them winning. Those people should be silenced

If rams are at bottom of division during their week 8 bye, then yay Fisher is gone otherwise I think he will be fired at end of season as I don't see Rams winning that division

Jeff Fisher's contract suggests otherwise, Poker. Plus, I think the biggest problem with the Rams is whoever's making personnel decisions, so depending on how the dynamic plays out behind closed doors, I'd personally be more worried is I was Les Snead, the GM.

How is fisher's contract setup right now? If he somehow gets big money despite being fired then I think you are right. I assume Les Snead does not have such luxary

Rams have talented players but their record has not reflected it in years. They thought a high drafted QB would save the day, but Goff is not meeting expectations. Perhaps they should have gone with Wentz which would be fault of Snead. I thought Wentz would be better than Goff and Wentz looked alright against Cleveland. Still Wentz needs to face a good defense for us to see how good he is

It's up at the end of the season, so if they decide to get rid of him, I assume they'll let him walk for nothing at the end of his contract and hope that he leads them to a high draft pick rather than cut bait after their bye.

I was reminded by this by PFT, Jeff Fisher could become the NFL's career coaching loss leader if the Rams go 6-10 or worse.

Then yay if Rams don't win the NFC west or get wild card he should be gone at end of season with as many chances he has had

Cardinals best suited to win that division but they won't win NFC conference title
