Well, I had a couple good beats and the Force Special Action is actually a huge help to me as it's a style that doesn't have the penalties to priority and power that most of my styles do.
I think you have 7 life instead of 8, and now I can't find my Fate rulebook, but I think that you start getting 2 force at life 7, right? I should get 2 force back as I used the Force Special Action.
I'll also be discarding Blessing with my Strike.

I assumed you only said this past one was Beat 5 because I already had posted mine.
And I meant more the mechanical things. Not getting into how good my play is subjectively, I still miss something every other turn. Like, I absolutely should not have forgotten that you needed to discard an extra base after I hit you, given how many times I've played as Lixis so far. I only wrote the total bonuses the first time because both Venomous and level buffs were active, and was planning to remove that line if I did the summery again the next beat, but I think I'm showing that I need it regardless.
Never be sorry for your little time.
It's not when you get there, it's always the climb.
*shrugs* you miss things sometimes. So do I. If we're being worried about it we should take comfort in the fact that we're probably doing it less via forum than we would in person. All I can say here is that I wouldn't worry too much about it as this is a game with lots of parts to remember. For the bases I've normally been the one to bring it up as I'm the one that has to make the decision, but I'm pretty sure that you'd remind me most of the time if I forgot it. It hasn't been your responsibility though so it's easier for you to forget.
Also, I really liked the bonus thing (especially with the Venomous interaction,) so as soon as I saw it I knew I wanted to keep it around to remind me!
I want to Burst so badly, but I did that last time. That means you have to have a counter for that, AKA not Spiritual Grasp, right? And Pruning Grasp would make you too scared to use Pruning Drive? I really don't like this, but some sort of Shot has to be coming. If you use Safety Shot and spend the force to become unstunnable, then at least I'll still be alive.
Pruning Strike
I almost didn't actually write the attack pair again.

Sure. You really outplayed me a vast majority of the earlygame, where I'm supposed to be the one racking damage on you, so I want another try at that as well. The thing is, no matter what it's looking like Lixis doesn't win fast enough to kill you before you start getting a lot of power/priority, and Force Special and Spiritual (if you want to risk it) mitigate the fact that the rest of your styles are negative everything.
Also just thinking, do you know what would be a really weird matchup? Magdalina vs. Adjenna. Literally no damage is being done the first half of the game.

That would be interesting, yeah. Magdelina might go on the offensive more than normal from the get go as she doesn't have a lot of ways to try to get out of range, but Adjenna can still end up adjacent to her much of the time I'd guess. My money offhand would be on Adjenna, but it would be interesting to play it out a time or two at some point.
Also, I don't know if you've noticed in the thread in the Arcade, but as a heads up Accountant is probably interested in playing and StaplerTowel might be down in a bit. We might even have enough players about to have a little mini-tournament if people wanted.
Well, it's not really a Drive vs. Dodge decision, because Drive is a far better option in every way. Naturalizing Shot would clash, leaving Lance vs. Dodge, but that's not available. If I use Naturalizing, I can't kill or stun, and if I use anything else I'm getting outsped. I could take a chance on you not counter-anteing Priority and Miasma, but that seems unlikely. I think Dodging is literally all I can do. Now I just hope you didn't use Excelsius, because that would make next turn even worse for me. And there's no way you're not using Excelsius Drive. But I still think there's a better chance of you not using Excelsius than you not countering a priority ante.

And you're right. It wasn't really a choice. Though I don't overly see why I'd choose Excelsius over Priestess here? The Lance next beat I suppose? In any case, you get to move first.
