Guys, the next person who makes an RVS post or any post with deemed sarcastic intent I will
FoS
seriously because they're trying to disrupt my vibes.
RVS is a cancer, see I don't want to respond to House with the expected glib banter. I'm breaking all the walls and there is no turning back.
I'm voting RyanK because I played with him before and he was really weird. His vote on the wagon pinged me, but I think it's just from how clipped it sounds, so I want him to talk more.
, this means I cannot be targeted by non-killing night actions, so if you have an action and you think there will be pro-town utility in targeting me, I suggest you look elsewhere.
However, I may (or may not) switch out my role from the Mystery Box, so I'll update you all if I decide to do that
VOTE: Flames682

"I think I no longer believe in monsters as faces in the floor or feral infants or vampires or whatever. I think at seventeen now I believe the only real monsters might be the type of liar where there's simply no way to tell. The ones who give nothing away"
NJAC why are you voting someone who hasn't posted yet

Why exactly do you think it's a good idea to reveal that info this early?

Partly RVS, partly Meta. Do you think I should vote someone different?
Because for townies with abilities - investigative, protective, roleblock, whatever - that ability is better spent on a person it will actually affect. Any ability spent targeting someone ascetic is a complete waste. It's pro-town to claim and therefore I claim in my first post, and it would be distracting or misleading if I bring it up later towards day end. Nothing would be gained from hiding that I'm currently ascetic.
What meta is relevant here? Why are you continuing RVS on page 2 when there are already posts and wagons to be participating in or commenting on?
I'm not gonna tell you where to put your vote at the moment, but I think it's worth pressing you on why you made a useless one.

Scum claiming ascetic is usually a terrible idea whether they are really ascetic or not, so I'm inclined to townread Guilty for that alone. I might want to double check the mystery box mechanics for something later, though. Regardless, getting generally good vibes from his posts, too
Flames might actually be the fastest scumread I've picked up in a game, I don't know if the other people on the wagon can say the same.
i no longer strictly go by they/them and honestly prefer she/her but they/them's fine if you're used to it i guess

Though I agree with most of your reasons for revealing this, there's also the scenario in which scum could have an investigative role, and now you have given them info that assures that they won't waste it on you, if you're actually telling the truth.
On the other hand your claim is kinda convenient coming from scum, so I think it's worth pressing you on why you made such claim.

The meta is about how hard it is to read N_M in my experience. I commented on a few posts in the very same post I voted, so it's not like I just RVSed.
Also I don't like the current wagon on Flames, and am waiting for the responses from Expedience to decide if Ryank wagon is a good one.

Why exactly is that a terrible idea in this setup?
I meant in general. If Guilty is scum lying, it'll be easy to disprove and raise a few eyebrows if someone investigates him. If he's scum but telling the truth, he's taking away the utility of a very powerful passive ability (i.e., the ability to waste an investigative power of a townie). Doing something that only hurts scum to do and gives little towncred seems like a waste to do as scum.
Plus, if he were going for the "fakeclaim NU" gambit as town or scum, miller is always the better choice because there's no downside to it as either alignment.
As for in this set-up? My brain's been kind of foggy lately and I forgot how the mystery box works, so I should probably take a look at the rules and see if that affects anything (was going to start actually thinking for this game tomorrow but you responded now so) ^^;

Care to elaborate? I thought my wagon was a joke

It's POSSIBLE for someone to get the role again, but then they would need to question whether it's a new mod role (if guilty is lying) or a recycled one.

I disagree.
Scum have nothing to lose by claiming ascetic. It's not like it paints a target on their head for investigative roles since... investigatives don't get results.
What makes you think it's so town when there's no downside to claiming it?
Yeah there can definitely be scum motivation in claiming ascetic, which is obviously so others don't target you. Even though there's a risk of being checked, scum could take that risk.
