Further, I think that if either was on scum, there would have been a more concerted effort to push the other. The stagnancy of both suggests they're both Town. While I despise No Lynches, it's preferable to a mislynch.

Taking an RVS vote for no-lynch as a serious advocacy for no-lynch, even after this is disavowed, is completely ridiculous.

Let me rephrase: which scenario do you find more likely out of (scum!Grey, town!dreal) or (scum!Grey, scum!dreal)?

I feel the latter is more likely. If Grey is scum then the most plausible explanation for his behavior is a hard-distancing attempt that got out of hand when he made his case too well, and left him looking for an excuse to change wagons.
