Life is simply unfair, don't you think?
I don't think it necessarily implies he's scum either. I guess I'm trying to make conversation about people other than jin since jin won't be on much until the 17th. Maybe jin is scum and it's fine to go after him so much, but he won't be the only scum in the game. I also want to see how people respond to claims being made against them.
Are you saying I'm diverting attention away from jin or formerfish?
In post 48, MooginSoosy wrote:So while we're asking questions, I'd like to know why formerfish is going after jin so much still after he explained he wasn't going to be around much until the 17th. I still think jin is being suspicious, but is it worth it to continue to question someone who isn't going to be around for a little while? Wouldn't it make more sense to also question other people rather than stick to one person in this phase?
As town you have to be suspicious of everyone until you get a better feel for the current game state. At this point in the game we have 2 people who still haven't even posted, and someone doing something i think is scum motivated. The idea that he was just posting some bs seems to be a cover to me for why we will never be able to look for associative tells if Jin dies and flips scum. I am going to hammer that idea right now because its the only one we have. You think someone else is being scummy, point it out. For me I am going to wait for everyone else to post before I start looking for a scum team. Pressuring Jin here is the right move, even if he has stated that he will be lva.
Oh and don't forget that day 1 is all about interactions. Who followed who onto a wagon, who never voted for a specific player, who talked to who, there is so much to be learned from the forming of wagons to the individual interactions players have or don't have.

I think it would be someone playing it cool so... MooginSoosy seems pretty cool right now diverting attention away from him.
(how's that?)
Aggression doesn't equal scum, most times. It's all in the player and their ability to keep it going. The test is trying to determine if an attack is for real, or a faint.
As for what you are saying about Moogin, it sounds like you are describing buddying, possible white knighting, or the start of a chain saw defense. With buddying he could be trying to get me to take some pressure off of his scum partner. White knighting owuld imply that Jin is town and that scum!Moogin knows this and hopes to gain town cred in the event of town!Jins death. A chainsaw defense is where someone defends someone else by saying the first attack is scummy, and therefore the first attacker is scum.
Also, Jack, your vote still sits on the bench, with Toto voting someone who you said could be scum playing cool. What do you think could happen if you put a pressure vote on Moogin?
I mean I get it, but I also haven't stated that I think jin is innocent so I don't know if it would fall under white knighting? My main reason for trying to bring anyone else up was to get an actual discussion going since all that was happening was formerfish asking questions and those questions going unanswered. How much discussion typically happens in each day phase? At the moment it seems far and few between. Is that mainly because there are 2 people who haven't posted at all and a few others who haven't posted much?
In post 61, Toto wrote:Fykus what's your take on FormerFish's aggressiveness and questioning?
Actually afer re-reading the thread again I cant really see much aggression from him at all. If anything I think TS was a bit aggressive towards me after I voted for him but I guess it could just be him defending himself. Being my first game ive got no idea how scum will generally act on day 1 so I dont have much to go off unfortunately.

Here's why. With Jack voting Jin there it put Jin at lynch minus one vote or l-1. At that point another vote would be what is called the hammer and we would have lynched Jin.
When putting a person at l-1 you generally announce it so that others are aware that another vote would lynch. In this case you are new and didn't know. It's alright.
Now we can look at the wagon that started on Jin, and see who stayed off it. That info could come into play later dependent on flips.
Yes and no. A lynch on page 3 would be risky AF. Does it happen and hit scum, yeah. I don't think thats the way I want to go with him being on lva, the pressure it holds rights now is sufficient.
