why are you even bothering to ask this? if you really think I'm going to flip scum then you know I won't answer this or that my answers will be complete nonsense and WIFOM

I know lynching me ends the game, so why would I bother? if even one town player votes me then we get the quickhammer. given that Maria/MoI/you have all said you'd vote me there's a 100% chance there's gonna be a town vote on me so what's the point?

i think the questions i ask myself in order are
Is UT scum? // Who would make the most sense as UT's partner? // If UT were town, who is the scum team?

My answers are.

i have significant trouble actually voting anyone alive right now, because nothing feels right. Question 2 especially, right? even if it's UT's partner. Someone is guaranteed to be playing a scumgame that is just straight up beyond how well i (and everyone else) can scumhunt. that's for sure. the thing, is that happens pretty often. that's pretty much how scum snags solo wins most of the time.

like, yeah. if UT is scum we have a night to get extra information. what if UT isn't scum? then two players out of this pool have completely fooled me. right, that's the thing. maybe this breaks like 10 rules of mathematical logic, but if one person is capable of fooling me than technically an infinite number of people are capable of fooling me. and maybe this also breaks another 10 rules but if we KNOW, for sure, that someone is playing in a way that gives you no solid scum reads. then do we lynch the "scummiest" player?

1-2 people are playing in a way that got me to townread them completely, and the only way i can be comfortable with any lynch today is if i somehow force myself to think in the next level 4th dimension and see how scum does that, and if that's cohesive with UT scum, sure. but i just dont know.

what do we do in this situation? do we just keep lynching down the line of scummy players that have flipped town?

i'd vote spiffeh. i can't give you any real evidence or anything as to why.
so yeah, thats the most concrete thing i can give you, a vote that i would never place unless threatened with irl death

So reviewing Inspirational Mafia I can see some of the elements Spiffeh has pointed out about UT’s play – specifically voting scum out of nowhere.

Shotty and Lowell are his partners. He does some early distancing from Lowell but Day 3 once Shotty gets sufficient pressure UT jumps on the Shotty wagon late (vote 4 of 5) despite really having never really addressed him at all prior to that point which is the assessment of his Andy play by Spiffeh. No buddying of his partners per se. In fact in the re-read I noticed him buddying up to me in places that make me cringe now in hindsight that I didn’t twig to them.

My scan back through Defcon showed me that UT was nearly as strong with bussing SomethingSmart as I thought and didn’t really buddy nearly at all. Which actually seems to match his play here looking through his ISO.
