I don't really think that this is Fate/Katsuki scumbuddies; I'd expect Katsuki would make lynching him a little more difficult in a him/Fate partnership and on Fate's end, I think he would have sold it farther. Fate!Scum/Katsuki!Town would involve Fate being a little more comfortable with Katsuki death; still possible, but there seemed to be a genuine tone in his response.

...None of this explains a move in vote.
