THREATS TO EARTH
(SCUM):

Spoiler: SCUM FACTIONAL INFO AND EVENTS:
The Scum team is informed that they have a traitor with the flavor of 'Jasper'.
They do not know Jasper's player identity, and Jasper does not know their identities.
The Scum team have a number of Episode Events that they can trigger as a factional action.
Triggering a Scum-Factional Event does not count against a player's maximum number of actions submitted.
Submitting a kill does count as the player's submitted action for the Climax Phase, except when they are the final surviving player in the team.

SEARCH FOR JASPER:
Exposition Event. Activated during the Climax Phase.
Can be triggered after Episode 4, requires +2 Stress or higher.
Priority 1 Event.
Flavor is tied to the Episode, 'Hit the Diamond'.
The following information is private and only known to you:
Returns two pieces of information scanned from the wagon that ends in a lynch:
1. How many 'Gem' characters were on the lynch,
2. If Jasper was on the Lynch.
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread at the end of the Climax phase:
Lowers Stress by 2, towards Slice of Life.

KEEPING IT TOGETHER:
Climax Event. Triggered during the Climax Phase.
Can be triggered after Episode 1, requires -1 Stress or lower.
Can not be triggered during a Season Finale.
Priority 1 Event.
Flavor is tied to the Episodes, 'Keeping it Together' and 'Nightmare Hospital'.
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread at the end of the Climax phase:
All alliances fail to form.
Any players who would have retained an Alliance from the previous phase now instead take one less vote to lynch for the following Episode.
Adds +3 Stress, towards Tragic Destiny.

MESSAGE RECEIVED:
Climax Event. Triggered during the Climax Phase.
Can be triggered at any time, requires -1 Stress or lower.
Priority 1 Event.
Flavor is tied to 'It Could Have Been Great.'
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread at the end of the Climax Phase:
It becomes public knowledge that The Cluster may awaken and destroy Earth.
From this point onward, players may forego taking Climax actions to add a point to a cumulative, hidden score.
If both Players in an Alliance forego their Climax actions, they add 3 points to this score.
Players are told that if the score does not reach a high enough point by the upcoming Season Finale, there will be several deaths.
Adds +4 Stress, towards Tragic Destiny.

THE CLUSTER:
Climax Event. Triggered during the Exposition Phase.
Can be triggered only as a Season Finale Event, requires -3 Stress or lower, 'MESSAGE RECEIVED' must have been triggered.
Priority 1 Event.
Flavor is tied to the Episode, 'Gem Drill'.
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread at the end of the Climax Phase:
If the players have culminated points equal to the total of non-scum members left alive, then this event fails.
In the case that this event fails, subtract -6 Stress, towards Slice of Life.
In the case that this even succeeds, the top two players in the pool of those who submitted points towards 'MESSAGE RECEIVED' will die.
In the case of a tie, break first to the most recent point-submitter, then to a Gem, then to the player with the least amount of text on their rolecard.
In the case that no player submitted any points, the scum team may choose who to kill.

REMOTE DETONATOR:
Can be triggered at any time.
No Stress Requirement. Requires that a player has flavor-claimed in the game thread.
Priority 0. Can be triggered at any time, does not invalidate other events.
Flavor is tied to the Episode 'Message Received'.
The following information is private and only known to you:
By submitting a quote of a player's claimed flavor name, you may instantly kill that player.
This Event will fail if targeting a player whose flavor has been mod-confirmed in the public game thread.
If the claimed flavor is incorrect, the player survives, but this event does not take place and is refunded.
If this kill fails for any reason otherwise, this event takes place and is not refunded.
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread at the end of the Climax Phase:
Increases Stress by 1 towards Tragic Destiny.

RETURN TO EARTH:
Exposition Event. Triggered during the Climax Phase.
Requires -2 Stress or lower. Requires at least one scum member to have died, or 'Search for Jasper' to have been triggered.
Can only be triggered during a Season Finale.
Flavor is tied to the Episodes 'Back to the Moon' and 'Bubbled'.
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread at the start of the Exposition Phase:
Only players in Alliances may vote or take actions.
If the Exposition ends on a scum lynch, the scum team gains an extra kill for the Climax phase.
If the Exposition ends on a town lynch, the entire scumteam is removed from the game and unable to take actions for the Climax phase.

Spoiler: JASPER
Jasper, a Quartz Born in Battle and Fueled by Revenge
Image
Every gem is made for a purpose: to serve the order of the Diamonds. Those who cannot fit inside this order must be purged!
You are aligned with the Scum Faction. You are a Gem.
Head to head, just like I like it!

Despite being aligned with the scum faction, they do not know who you are.
Furthermore, you do not know the scum faction's identities and you do not have access to any of their factional resources.
You may still direct the kill at the Climax Phase--if you elect to, your target will die instead of the scum team's intended target.
During a Season Finale, if you direct the kill, it will have enhanced priority--no ability may prevent or redirect it unless otherwise stated. This will also happen if Stress is ever at -2 or lower.

This planet ruins everything! Well, heh, except for me.

Any ability that targets you will fail. Events will still succeed.

I'm the only one who can handle your kind of power.

Instead of following the normal mechanics for allying, you will always force your allying target to ally with you.
You will learn your ally's alignment and what abilities, if any, your ally gains from an Alliance and you may submit their action for them.
While in the alliance, your ally is unable to submit actions or vote. Instead, you control their vote.
You may use the bolded vote tag [PLAYER NAME VOTE: TARGET NAME].

Nobody I ever fuse with wants to stay.

Once you have ended an Alliance with a player, you may never return to Allying with that player again.

EVENT:
The Breaking Point

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate this ability during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 2
REQUIREMENTS: You may only activate this ability at +2 or higher Stress.
Flavor is tied to the Episode, "Bismuth."
The following information will be made publicly known:
During the Exposition of this Event, in addition for voting for a lynch all players may now also vote for a player to 'Shatter'.
This votecount follows the same voting rules that normal voting does.
If a majority vote is reached on the 'Shatter' vote, the voted player will be killed and only their alignment will flip. The Exposition phase will continue. One Stress will be added, towards Tragic Destiny.
2 Stress is subtracted, moving towards Slice of Life.
The following information is private and only known to you:
If a majority vote is not reached on the 'Shatter' vote, you are removed from the game for the following two Exposition phases.

Earth is a prison. And I got out because I’m better than this place. I only came back to finish you off.

You are aligned with
Threats to Earth
.
In order to win the game, your faction must equal or exceed the number of other surviving players left alive.
In order to win the game, at least one Threat to Earth player must be alive.

Bismuth, Blacksmith of the Crystal Gems
Image
She asked me what I wanted to build, and I'd never heard that before. Gems never hear they can be anything other than what they are.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Gem.
Shatter me? Pshh, Homeworld couldn't lay a scratch on this gem.

Any ability that targets you will fail. Events will still succeed.

Let's show 'em what happens when you mess with the Crystal Gems!

During the Climax phase, you may kill any target player.
During a Season Finale, this kill will have enhanced priority--no ability may prevent or redirect it unless otherwise stated. This will also be happen if Stress is ever at -2 or lower.

Don't tell ME what a Crystal Gem would do. Nobody's more "Crystal Gem" than I am. If you won't take it, I'll just use it myself.

You may use the bolded vote tag [PLAYER NAME VOTE: TARGET NAME]
You may also simply have me edit the player's post to force them to vote a target of your liking.

...You should've shattered me back then. At least if I were in pieces, I wouldn't have to know how little I mattered to you.

How could you value the gems of our enemies more than our own?

You are aligned with
Earth
.
In order to win the game, all threats to Earth must be removed from the game.
In order to win the game, at least one Earth-aligned player must be alive.

Spoiler: RUBY (EYEBALL)
Eyeball, A Ruby In Need of Closure
Image
I'm Ruby-1F4 Cut-4ND. I fought in the war for Earth.
You are aligned with the Scum Faction. You are a Gem.
At the very least, I thought Jasper might have some answers, but...

If you ally with any player, you will learn if they are a Human or a Gem.
So long as you are allied with a player, you are immune to all actions.

I never thought I'd get a chance like this.

If stress is at -2 or lower, your factional kill will have enhanced priority when overcoming protective effects--it can still be redirected or protected against by similarly 'enhanced priority' protection.
If only you and/or Jasper are the final living members of your faction, any factional kill you attempt will always have enhanced priority.
This kill will still fail on any non-legal target, such as any player that counts as 'out of game' for any reason.

What will the Diamonds say when they hear that a Ruby defeated Rose Quartz? They're gonna give me my own Pearl!

If no other 'Gem' characters exist outside of the scum faction, you gain control of a unique 'Pearl' account.
I will send the details of this account to you if this is ever the case.
This unique Pearl account will show up in the list of living players and on vote counts.
You can submit votes with this Pearl account--both you and this Pearl account can never be the only voting players on a lynch.
You can not post from this Pearl account otherwise.
This Pearl account may be voted for and affected by Climax actions.
This Pearl account can not form alliances.
Each Climax Phase, you may have this Pearl slot perform one of the following actions:
-This slot may protect any target player from being killed--any kills targeting the protected player will be redirected to the Pearl slot. This may not be used on consecutive Climax Phases.
-This slot may target any player to cause their submitted action to fail. This may not be used on consecutive Climax Phases.

EVENT:
Sworn to the Sword

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate this ability during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 3--if used during Episode 1, it is priority 0.
REQUIREMENTS: You may only activate this ability at +2 or higher Stress. No requirements if used during Episode 1.
Flavor is tied to the Episodes, "Sworn to the Sword" and "Crack the Whip"
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread:
If used during Episode 1, the following will happen:
You will form an alliance with the player with the flavor of 'Steven Universe'.
You will gain a double-vote for the rest of the game.
The following information is private and only known to you:
However, Steven will also become immune to any action submitted by you--only you will know this.
Steven will not be immune to your Pearl's actions or your -4 Stress Factional Kill.

If used during any other Episode, this Event has the following public effects instead;
Town may perform two lynches during this Episode's Exposition.
After one player is lynched, the player lynched will die, then the votecount and deadline will reset for a second lynch.

I got nothing else to lose.

You are aligned with
Threats to Earth
.
In order to win the game, your faction must equal or exceed the number of other surviving players left alive.
In order to win the game, at least one Threat to Earth player must be alive.

Connie, The Girl Who May Save the Universe
Image
I don't know what will happen in the future, but if something dangerous comes along, I don't want to be a burden, I want to help!
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
I was face-to-face with a monster and I froze. Maybe if I trained a little harder...

So long as you are allied with another player, you are immune to all actions.

I want to, Steven. I want to be a part of your universe.

If you ally with any player, you will learn if they are a Human or a Gem.

I need to be able to protect you!

You will form an alliance with the player with the flavor of 'Steven Universe'.
You will gain a double-vote for the rest of the game.

The Earth is my home too, can't I help protect it?

You are aligned with
Earth
.
In order to win the game, all threats to Earth must be removed from the game.
In order to win the game, at least one Earth-aligned player must be alive.

Spoiler: RUBY (DOC)
Doc, Leader of the Rubies
Image
Focus, Rubies! This is an important mission from Yellow Diamond, so we can't mess it up.
You are aligned with the Scum Faction. You are a Gem.
We're here to retrieve the leader of the Earth mission!

Each Climax Phase, you may forgo any action (besides allying) in order to target a player to discover if they are Jasper (The Traitor) or not.
Once per game, during the Season Finale, you may allow all other Rubies in your faction to perform this action.

I think we better double-check.

Each Climax Phase, you may target a player to learn your choice of one of the following:
-Who they targeted on any Climax phase of your choice.
-Who they chose to ally with during any Episode of your choice.
-Who targeted them on any Climax phase of your choice.
-Which action they took on any Climax phase of your choice (you may only do this if you have information on who they targeted).

Rubies, assemble!

If you ally, you both gain the following abilities:
You may not be killed by any normal killing actions.
You may chat during both Exposition and Climax Phase.
If all members of your alliance are voting the same target, an extra vote will be counted against the target--this can not hammer a player.
During a Season Finale, you may form an alliance of up to five total players in this way and extend these benefits to all of your alliance.
In order for players to join this five-player Alliance, you must submit each of their names and they must all submit your name for allying.

EVENT:
Full Disclosure

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate this ability during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 3
REQUIREMENTS: Neutral or Positive Stress, must be after Episode 2.
Tied to the Flavor of the episodes "Full Disclosure," "We Need to Talk," and other similar flashback episodes.
Choose an earlier Episode in the game.
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread:
Reduces Stress to zero (neutral).
Players may only use abilities that they used during that Episode.
Players are forced into the same alliances that they had during that Episode.
All players who died since that Episode may post in the game thread and even take actions at Climax Phase.
These players return to being dead after this Event is over.
The Exposition will not end in a lynch, players will simply vote to end the Exposition phase.
The Climax will include no kills.

We've been tricked? Again?!

You are aligned with
Threats to Earth
.
In order to win the game, your faction must equal or exceed the number of other surviving players left alive.
In order to win the game, at least one Threat to Earth player must be alive.

Greg, a Dad in Over His Head
Image
Wait, how is this even possible?
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
Let's just... talk.

I'm going to see a man about a tunnel brush... An internet man. If I'm not back in an hour, call the police.

If you ally, you both gain the following abilities:
You may not be killed by any normal killing actions.
You may chat during both Exposition and Climax Phase.

Well, sometimes it isn't about the fish you keep, but the company you catch.

Now, remember, Steven, if you run into any trouble out there, you can always bail. There's never any shame in bailing.

Hi-yah!
You are aligned with the Scum Faction. You are a Gem.
Why I oughta razzle-frazzle your...

If you are in an alliance with a player and they decide to ally differently, you may cause all of their actions to fail.
Each Climax phase, you may dedicate your action towards continuing this effect.
This ability may only ever affect a single player at any given time.
If you change targets or stop using this ability, you will be unable to use this ability on your previous target until you ally with them and trigger these effects again.

Strike Three!!

During the Season Finale, if you hammer a player, that player is killed--no effect may keep them alive in any way.

EVENT:
Beach-a-Palooza!

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate this ability during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 0
REQUIREMENTS: +1 Stress or Higher
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Sadie's Song."
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread:
If this event is triggered, the Exposition Phase begins with this event and locks the public game thread.
For 48 hours, all players may submit any target player to star in the 'Beach-a-Palooza' event.
Every time a player is picked by another player, it counts as one point towards the picked player's score.
Every time a player picks a player in an alliance with them, it counts as two points towards the picked player's score.
If a player picks themselves, it counts as three points towards their score.
Scum picks are only worth .5, 1, and 1.5 points, respectively.
If there are any draws, I will break the tie towards the player with more words in their role PM.
It will be revealed how many points each of the top 3 point-winners have earned.
The winning player will have their flavor revealed publicly to the game.
Scum players will have their fake-claim flavor revealed publicly.
The winning player will be able to privately select one of three fabulous prizes:
1. One-shot kill immunity, consumed when next targeted by a kill.
2. One-shot Climax-phase investigate a target to see if they are capable of killing a player.
3. One-shot Climax-phase mass-redirect, which causes all other abilities to redirect to the user.

Let's move out, soldiers!

THE CRYSTAL GEMS
(THIRD PARTY):

Spoiler: FACTIONAL MECHANICS
"WAIT! I'm the one who betrayed the mission, who called Yellow Diamond a clod, the new leader of the Crystal Gems!" -- LEADER MECHANICS:

The Crystal Gems will always have a leader, who they trust with the decisions of their faction.
While The Crystal Gems only have chat access to their PT during the Climax phase, the Leader of the Crystal Gems may access and post there at all times.
Each Climax Phase, beggining with the pre-game, each member of the Crystal Gems may send me a PM to try to pursue being the leader.
There is a hierarchy here. On your role PM, you will find what your priority is for being the leader. If a player with a higher priority than you wants to be the leader, they will become leader before you do.
If no player tries to become the leader, the surviving player with the highestrec priority becomes the leader.
If the incumbent leader dies, the next player with highest priority who wanted to become the leader will become the leader.
Each Crystal Gem will unlock specific powers if they are the Leader of the Crystal Gems--these powers are detailed on your role PM.
Furthermore, the Leader of the Crystal Gems has access to the following factional abilities:
-You may trigger any of the Crystal Gems' factional events.
-You may 'bubble' a player during the Climax Phase--doing so counts as your Climax action.
-You may choose to 'bubble' a player after they are lynched.
-You may decide which Crystal Gems are allowed to interact with the bubbled player.
-You may decide when to release living players from being 'bubbled'.
-You may decide if you want to allow any 'bubbled' player to take their Climax actions.

"They're cared for in the stasis of the bubble. As long as they're bubbled, they can't hurt anyone, and they won't suffer. It's what Rose wanted." -- BUBBLING MECHANICS:

When a player is lynched or killed, their role-card is not immediately made public knowledge in the game thread. Instead, the flip is delayed for 48 hours while the Crystal Gems decide if they want to 'Bubble' the target. Kills that happen as a part of specific events or kills that can not be protected against do not allow for Bubbling.

Bubbled players are dead for all normal purposes, but can communicate in a unique Crystal Gem interrogation thread, where each member of the Crystal Gems posts from a provided alt account. The Leader of the Crystal Gems decides which members have access to the thread. If the Leader of the Crystal Gems allows it, the Bubbled player may still take their Climax actions despite technically not being a living member of the game.

The Leader of the Crystal Gems may also submit a factional 'kill' that bubbles a player instead of killing them. This action resolves in NAR as a kill does and is subject to all the same rules regarding killing actions. Therefore, the Leader of the Crystal Gems is counted as a player who controls a factional kill, but none of the other members are.

The Crystal Gems may only ever have three bubbled players at a time. A bubbled player may always be released at any time. If a fourth player is to be bubbled, one of the previous bubbled players must be released. If the player was bubbled after being lynched or killed, the player dies for good when they are released--their role info will be posted in the main game thread upon release as well. If the player was bubbled via the Leader's Factional Bubbling ability, then they simply return to the game normally.

When a member of The Crystal Gems dies, all faction-oriented information will be redacted from their roleflip.
This means that information about the Crystal Gem win condition, fusion specifics, and leadership abilities will be redacted.
The flavor title of each ability will remain.
That said, it is still prudent to bubble Crystal Gems, as flavor ties you heavily to your faction and can be punished very easily.

"We just needed a reason to fuse!" - FUSION MECHANICS:

Instead of allying with specific other members of The Crystal Gems, you may Fuse with them instead.
Fusion provides an Fusion PT which both players may chat in during the entire duration of their Fusion.
You may not Fuse with the same player on consecutive Episodes.
When you want to Fuse, you must both submit 'Fusion' instead of Allying.
Furthermore, all fusions count as a 'single slot', meaning any action that targets either member in the Fusion will target both--the exception is kills:
When Fusing, you must decide which player will die as a result of a lynch/kill.
Kills that happen as a result of an Event and kills that are unstoppable will always kill their intended target, however.

Spoiler: FACTIONAL EVENTS
CHILLE TID:
Exposition Event. Activated during the Climax Phase.
Requires +3 Stress or Higher
Priority 3 Event.
Flavor tied to the Episode, "Chille Tid."
When submitting this event, also choose a target player and decide 'anonymous' or 'in-character'.
The following information is private and only known to you:
During the Climax Phase following this Event, the leader of the Crystal Gems may communicate with that player via a provided private thread.
If you chose anonymous, you will enter the private thread with your game account.
If you chose in-character, you will enter the private thread with your character-based account, which I will provide you with.
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread:
Lowers Stress to neutral (zero).

READY OR NOT, WE HAVE A MISSION:
Reactionary Event. Activated during any phase.
Requires +4 Stress and another Event to be taking place.
Priority 0 Event.
Flavor tied to the Episode, "Gem Drill."
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread:
Immediately cancel the Event that is currently happening.
Stress returns to neutral (zero).

HIT THE DIAMOND:
Exposition Event. Activated during the Climax Phase.
Requires +2 Stress or higher. May not be activated for a Season Finale or if there less than 12 players alive.
Priority 1 Event.
Flavor tied to the Episode, "Hit the Diamond."
Everyone has to play baseball. The Leader of the Crystal Gems elects two 'Team Captains'.
If less than 12 players are alive after this event is triggered but before it resolves, it fails.
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread:
A 'Baseball' phase will be held before this Episode's Exposition Phase.
Each 'Team Captain' drafts a team of five other players during a 48 hours 'drafting' phase.
As Teams are Drafted, they are each given a PT to communicate in. This PT persists for the entire Episode.
As Teams are Drafted, the Team Leader picks a batting order and positions for their team.
Positions include 1st Base, 2nd Base, 3rd Base, Catcher, Pitcher, and Umpire.
The team with the most Humans on it bats firsts.
In the Public Thread, the Pitcher will throw one of three types of pitches, each with the a specific effect depending on the batter.
If two of the same pitches are thrown in a row, the second one will always be hit. The pitches are as follows:
Fast Ball: The batter can only hit this ball if they have less text on their rolecard than the pitcher.
Breaking Ball: The batter can only hit this ball if they have more abilities on their rolecard than the pitcher.
ChangeUp: The batter can only hit this ball if they have more text on their rolecard than the pitcher.

After throwing a pitch publicly, the batter can either decide to swing or to take a strike.
If a batter cannot hit a ball, they will take a strike even if they swing.
After three Strikes, the batter is out.
When the batter swings, they also choose which position they are swinging at.
The positions only include First Base, Second Base, or Third Base.
The batter also chooses their type of swing:
Bunt: The player can only catch this if they have less text on their rolecard.
Pop Fly: The player can only catch this if they have more text on their rolecard.
Slug: The player can only catch this if they have more abilities on their rolecard.
If the batter is successful, they score a run for their team.
As a note, if two batters try the same swing on the same position within the same inning, the second batter will always be 'caught' and out.

After three outs, either by catching the ball or by strikes, teams switch sides.
Once each team has played both sides, the Baseball Phase ends and the Exposition phase may properly begin.
Players on the losing team can not take any Climax actions except for forming alliances.
The leader of the winning team may decide to increase the stress by 1 or decrease it by 3.

IS THERE ANYTHING THAT'S WORTH MORE THAN PEACE AND LOVE ON THE PLANET EARTH:

Climax Event. Activated during the Exposition Phase.
Requires +3 Stress or higher.
Priority 1 Event.
Flavor tied to the Episode, "It Could Have Been Great."
This prevents the scum factional kill from happening during the Climax Phase.
Furthermore, this prevents scum from triggering any Factional Events during this Climax Phase and for the following Episode.

BACK TO THE MOON:

Climax Event. Activated during the Exposition Phase.
Requires +3 Stress or higher and that the Event "IS THERE ANYTHING THAT'S WORTH MORE THAN PEACE AND LOVE ON THE PLANET EARTH" has happened.
Priority 0 Event.
Flavor tied to the Episode, "Back to the Moon."
All members of the Crystal Gems are effectively removed from the game during the Climax Phase. They will return to the game at the start of the next Episode.
Reset the Stress to neutral (zero).

Spoiler: STEVEN
Steven Universe, A Child With a Intergalactic Destiny
Image
I have to protect you, what if somehow you get hurt? What do I do? I don't want that for you.
You are aligned with The Crystal Gems. You are a Gem and a Human.
Is it weird I'm getting numb to this?

So long as the Stress meter is at +1 or higher, you may not be killed normally. Events and special kills will still kill you.
At +4 Stress, you may not be removed from the game in any way--kills, events, lynches, etc. will all fail on you.
Your priority for being Leader of the Crystal Gems is 1.
If you are Leader of the Crystal Gems, you may not be killed normally. Events and special kills will still kill you.
Once per game, you may bring a lynched-and-bubbled player back to life when you unbubble them.

Can we talk for a moment?

You have been provided with an alternate account.
If you alter the password or details of this account, I will modkill you.
You may use this account for various factional and role-related abilities.
The account's username is: Steven Quartz
The account's password is: [REDACTED]

But at least I've got you. And you've got me! So stop leaving me out of this.

If you are in an Alliance with only Amethyst, you may decide to Fuse instead.
If you both agree to Fuse, you lose access to the rest of your role's abilities for the duration of your fusion, but gain the following:
When you form this Alliance, you may decide which one of you will die if either player were to die.
When both you and Amethyst are voting for a player, your votes are worth three votes altogether.
During the Climax Phase, you may target a player to cause their actions to fail. This will not stop Factional Kills.
If both you and Amethyst target the same player in this way, their actions will fail and they can not form an alliance for the following Episode--this will stop a Factional Kill.

If you're the one protecting me, then who's the one protecting you!?

Two shot. Climax-Phase only. Target a player you are allied with--all killing actions directed at that player will be redirected to you instead.
If you use this power, any attempts made by other players to protect you from kills will fail.
During the Season Finale, you are refunded one shot of this power.
During the Season Finale, you may select two players with this power.

Steven, you could be using your dreams to connect with her mentally.

One shot. Climax-Phase only. Target a player and decide 'anonymous' or 'in character'.
You will receive a Climax-Phase-only PT with that player--this PT will persist the entire game or until you form a different PT with this power.
If you choose 'in character', you will be able to communicate in this thread via the provided alternate account.
If you choose 'anonymous', you will join this thread as your primary account.
During the Season Finale, you are refunded one shot of this power.

EVENT:
I spent the day with my mind in your body.

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate during Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 0
REQUIREMENTS: +2 Stress or higher. Will fail if heading into LYLO.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "The New Lars."
Target a player when you activate this Event.
You will learn that player's non-factional role information. This will yield fake-claims from scum.
You will be able to submit that player's action and alliance choices during the Climax Phase.
They will lose access to any alliance thread they would have had during this Event--you will take their place via an alternative account.
I will create a flavor-named account for you to use to access their alliance for the duration of the Episode.
At any point during the Exposition Phase, you may PM me to keep the chosen player from either being able to post or vote.
At any point during the Exposition Phase, you may PM me to change who the selected player is voting for.

How'd we get ourselves into this mess?

You are aligned with
The Crystal Gems

I am not, nor will I ever be, interested! Go away!

So long as you are Garnet, you may not Ally with any player outside of the Crystal Gems.
You may ignore this ability if the Stress is +1 or higher.

When you form this Alliance, you may decide which one of you will die if either player were to die.
If both you and Amethyst are voting for a player, your votes are worth four votes altogether.
If you hammer a player, that player is killed.

If you are in an Alliance with only Pearl, you may decide to Fuse instead.
If you both agree to Fuse, you lose access to the rest of your role's abilities for the duration of your fusion, but gain the following:
When you form this Alliance, you may decide which one of you will die if either player were to die.
If both you and Pearl are voting for a player, that player may not vote or take any actions.
During the Climax Phase, whatever player you were voting for during the end of the Exposition can not take actions, ally, or trigger Events.

EVENT:

EPISODE EVENT: Reactionary.
PRIORITY: 0
REQUIREMENTS: This event is triggered when you die.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "The Answer."
When you die, your information will not be posted in the main game thread.

Furthermore, as Leader, you may trigger Factional Episode Events regardless of their requirements.

I can see the path of fate as it stretches toward the horizon.

If you ally with another player, you may use your Climax Action to learn which actions your ally submitted during the same Climax Phase.
During the Season Finale, you may target an ally during the Exposition to learn which non-factional actions they may take during the Climax Phase.

You honestly think I'm not upset about what happened? I just wanted to do the right thing...

If you target the same player twice in a row, you will kill them as well.
If stress is at +3 or higher, you may always choose to kill a player with this ability if you wish--you may also decide against killing a player on consecutive visits.

Your priority for being Leader of the Crystal Gems is 3.
If you are Leader of the Crystal Gems, you may target four players during the Climax Phase.
If the stress is at +3 or higher, you may target the same player multiple times instead.
You will learn who the first target visited.
You will learn who visited your second target.
You will learn who your third target tried to ally with.
You will learn which non-factional actions your fourth target took.

I am a gem of many talents. A dedication to fact is just one of them.

You have been provided with an alternate account.
If you alter the password or details of this account, I will modkill you.
You may use this account for various factional and role-related abilities.
The account's username is: Pearl
The account's password is: [REDACTED]

Pearl points are awarded for punctuality, perseverance, and positivity.

If you ally with another player, you may reward them with 'Pearl Points'.
The points cumulate and are never taken away.
Pearl Points can not be rewarded on Episodes when the Exposition ended on a 'No-Lynch'.
Players will earn 1 Pearl Point for being on the same wagon you are on when the Exposition Phase ends.
Players will earn 2 Pearl Points for allying with you on consecutive Episodes.
Players will earn 3 Pearl Points for lynching scum.
During the Season Finale or at +3 or Higher Stress, players earn double the Pearl Points.

We may be smaller, weaker, and less gifted than our opponents but with these P's, we have the keys to success aaaand to the Pearl prize pouch!

You may, at any time, reward players who have earned enough Pearl Points.
You may never give the same reward to a player twice.
If a player has 5 Pearl Points, you may grant them one-time kill immunity.
If a player has 10 Pearl Points, you may grant them a one-shot, Climax-only ability to determine if a player has the capacity to kill another player.
If a player has 15 Pearl Points, you may grant them a one-shot killing ability.
If a player has 100 Pearl Points, you may allow them to achieve a unique third-party win-condition and leave the game.

You're always together... I just—I wanted to be a part of that.

If you are in an Alliance with only Garnet, you may decide to Fuse instead.
If you both agree to Fuse, you lose access to the rest of your role's abilities for the duration of your fusion, but gain the following:
When you form this Alliance, you may decide which one of you will die if either player were to die.
If both you and Garnet are voting for a player, that player may not vote or take any actions.
During the Climax Phase, whatever player you were voting for during the end of the Exposition can not take actions, ally, or trigger Events.

Opal is an amalgam of our combined magical and physical attributes fused into a single entity.

If you are in an Alliance with only Amethyst, you may decide to Fuse instead.
If you both agree to Fuse, you lose access to the rest of your role's abilities for the duration of your fusion, but gain the following:
When you form this Alliance, you may decide which one of you will die if either player were to die.
At the end of the Climax Phase, you will be told which actions were taken against you.
The next Episode will not begin for 24 hours after the Climax Phase ends, during which you may avoid one of these actions.
During the Season Finale, you may avoid any number of actions in this way.

EVENT:
Mine's taller. I win.

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 3
REQUIREMENTS: +1 Stress or Higher.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Back to the Barn."
Choose a player.
For the duration of the Exposition, you and the other player may take turns challenging each other.
At any point, either you or your target may choose to end the challenges.
Winning a challenge rewards one point. In the case of a tie, both players get a point.
The challenges are as follows:
-Whoever has more text in their role PM wins this Challenge.
-Whoever has more posts made among all threads they've ever had access to (related to this game) wins this Challenge.
-Whoever has more abilities in their role PM wins this Challenge.
-Whoever has had the most players try to ally with them wins this Challenge.
-Whoever took the most Climax Actions wins this challenge.
-Whoever has triggered the most Events wins this challenge.
-Whoever has the most mod-confirmed information about other player's roles (independent of factional info) wins this challenge.

The player with the most points at the end may choose one of the following:
Lower the Stress by 4 points.
Lynch a player of choice.
Raise the Stress by 2 points.

I'm just a Pearl... I'm useless on my own.

You are aligned with
The Crystal Gems

In order to win the game, at least one Earth-Aligned player and one Crystal Gem-aligned player must be alive.
In order to win the game, all threats to Earth must be removed from the game.
If all members of The Crystal Gems are dead, you lose the game.

Amethyst, A Gem Fighting For Freedom

You think that all you are is who you could be, but we don't hang out with you because of who you could be. We like you.
You are aligned with The Crystal Gems. You are a Gem.
Yeah, this plan stinks.

Your priority for being Leader of the Crystal Gems is 4.
If you are Leader of the Crystal Gems, you may stop players you are voting from forming alliances or triggering Events.
If you are the Leader of the Crystal Gems, stress decreases by 3 when scum players die and increases by 2 when town players die.

This time let's build a moat. I could be THE CROCODILE!

You have been provided with an alternate account.

Yep! That's me! Always huge, never small, all the- all the time since I was made!

You will always yield an 'Enemy of Earth' result to any investigation of your alignment.
Furthermore, you yield a 'no result' to any player who attempts to yield any other sorts of information by targeting you.

Homegirl knows we're gonna beat her into a green pancake.

You gain access to the following abilities if you are in an Alliance:
Any player you are voting for may not affect you with their Climax actions.
You may vote for up to three players at once.
If the stress is at +3 or higher, you may vote for up to four players at once.
This does not allow for multiple lynches.
If you're ever only voting for one player, your vote counts as two votes.

Hey, Garnet! How'd you like to mix it up with this?

If you are in an Alliance with only Garnet, you may decide to Fuse instead.
If you both agree to Fuse, you lose access to the rest of your role's abilities for the duration of your fusion, but gain the following:
When you form this Alliance, you may decide which one of you will die if either player were to die.
If both you and Garnet are voting for a player, your votes are worth four votes altogether.
If you hammer a player, that player is killed.
During the Climax Phase, any player that was voting for you at the end of the Exposition will have their actions redirected to you.

You wanted me to be more like Pearl and now I am!

If you are in an Alliance with only Pearl, you may decide to Fuse instead.
If you both agree to Fuse, you lose access to the rest of your role's abilities for the duration of your fusion, but gain the following:
When you form this Alliance, you may decide which one of you will die if either player were to die.
At the end of the Climax Phase, you will be told which actions were taken against you.
The next Episode will not begin for 24 hours after the Climax Phase ends, during which you may avoid one of these actions.
During the Season Finale, you may avoid any number of actions in this way.

Don't bother putting your socks back on, 'cus I'm abouta knock 'em off again!

If you are in an Alliance with only Steven, you may decide to Fuse instead.
If you both agree to Fuse, you lose access to the rest of your role's abilities for the duration of your fusion, but gain the following:
When you form this Alliance, you may decide which one of you will die if either player were to die.
When both you and Steven are voting for a player, your votes are worth three votes altogether.
During the Climax Phase, you may target a player to cause their actions to fail. This will not stop Factional Kills.
If both you and Steven target the same player in this way, their actions will fail and they can not form an alliance for the following Episode--this will stop a Factional Kill.

EVENT:
Knock it off. I know you let me win.

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 2
REQUIREMENTS: +2 Stress or Higher.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Steven vs Amethyst."
Choose a player.
For the duration of the Exposition, only you and the target player may be voted for.
The only players that may hammer are you and your target.
If the Exposition ends on a no lynch, reduce the Stress by 3.
If the Exposition ends on a lynch, the stress does not go down if the lynch flips town-aligned.

Oh, good... You didn't need me at all.

You are aligned with
The Crystal Gems

You may not form any Alliances while bubbled.

EARTH ALIGNED
(TOWN):

Spoiler: MAYOR DEWEY
Mayor Dewey, The Mayor Known as Mayor Dewey
Image
What coverup?
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
Why, young man, I credit the voters with saving Beach City!

You may not form alliances if the Stress is at -2 or lower.
You may submit up to three targets to ally with and have an alliance of up to four players, including yourself.
You will only successfully ally with players who fail to ally with their intended target.
If any player submits you as their ally, they will automatically join your alliance regardless of your targeting.
The players that you pick will have first priority with allying with you.

Well, nice hustle, gentlemen, keep it up!

So long as you are allied with a player, their actions will have increased priority--only other increased priority actions can cause them to be redirected or fail.
So long as you are allied with a player, any limited shot actions will not use their limited shots--Events will still be used.

Fantastic work! I love the message: Vote Mayor Dewey! How about I offer you another role?

Once per game, during the Exposition or Climax of the Season Finale, you may grant another player access to all of the abilities and Events of any single dead and flipped player.
The inheritor of these abilities will be able to access and use them for the rest of the game.
The inheritor of these abilities will lose access to any of the abilities and Events that were featured on their original rolecard.
The inheritor of these abilities will still have access to their factional Events and abilities, should they have any.

Thank you, for preserving my legacy.

If you are ever in a three-player LYLO situation, you may confirm yourself as town.

Cover-up? WHAT COVER UP?!

Once per game, you may post this ability name in bold to cause the stress meter to fall by two, towards Slice of Life.
During the Season Finale, this ability shifts the meter by four points.

What!? This wasn't in the script!

Once per game, you may post this ability name in bold to cause the stress meter to rise by two, towards Tragic Destiny.
During the Season Finale, this ability shifts the meter by four points.

EVENT:
Cut Funding

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only.
PRIORITY: 0
REQUIREMENTS: -1 Stress or lower.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Historical Friction"
You may immediately end any Episode Event that is taking place.

I must be off then to bask in the adulation of my constituents.

You are aligned with
Earth
.
In order to win the game, all threats to Earth must be removed from the game.
In order to win the game, at least one Earth-aligned player must be alive.

Spoiler: RONALDO
Ronaldo Fryman, Connoisseur of the Weird
Image
It's our duty to let those simple people live out their simple lives, without ever knowing the burden of being friends with us.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
Is that giant hand from the sky sitting right in the middle of the beach?! I gotta get some of this for my blog!

Posted with the starting Votecount of each new Episode will be a quote box featuring text advertised as the 'Keep Beach City Weird' blog.
Each Climax Phase, starting with the pre-game, you must submit a post of at least 100 words to be featured in the 'Keep Beach City Weird' blog.
Failure to make any of these posts will result in your role losing access to this ability altogether.
You will submit posts to me. I will edit any of the content of the post to be untrue with regards to private information.
Only you will know that the information posted in the Keep Beach City Weird blog is selectively untrue.
I will not edit any factionally-oriented information, such as information that confirms or deconfirms a player's alignment.
I will not edit any information that is publicly known.

That's just what people like us do. Suffer quietly, shouldering the knowledge no one else can bear.

One Shot. Climax-Phase only. Only usable if you are in an Alliance.
You may target a player to learn four pieces of information regarding abilities that the target player has.
Three of these four pieces of information will be incorrect.
One of these four pieces of information will be correct.
If the stress is at +3 or higher, three of these four pieces of info will be correct.
During the Season Finale, you are refunded a shot of this ability.

EVENT:
Rising Tides and Crashing Skies

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Trigger at Climax.
PRIORITY: 0
REQUIREMENTS: +3 Stress or higher.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Rising Tides, Crashing Skies"
Publicly, this event will only announce that you have filmed a documentary.
This event shifts the stress towards Slice of Life by three points.
Privately, you learn the nature of the Crystal Gems.
Privately, The Crystal Gems will learn that you know of their nature.

This is a matter of weird and death!

You are aligned with
Earth
.
In order to win the game, all threats to Earth must be removed from the game.
In order to win the game, at least one Earth-aligned player must be alive.

Spoiler: LAPIS
Lapis Lazuli, A Gem Trapped on Earth
Image
I was leaving, then I realized I've got nowhere to go.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Gem.
I don't want your garbage.

If you ally with a player, they do not gain any bonuses for allying besides access to your ally PT.
Any time you choose to ally the same ally that you had during the previous Episode, they will be forced to ally with you again.
This ability is disabled on Season Finales.

It's funny. For all this time I spent on Earth, I barely saw any of it.

During the Season Finale or if stress ever reaches +4, if you are removed from the game, you may return to the game.
This does not allow you to 'revive' from a lynch or a kill.

EVENT:
I can't get distracted, I've got to hold us down with the weight of your planet's ocean!

EPISODE EVENT: Climax Only--Trigger as a Climax Action.
PRIORITY: 1
REQUIREMENTS: +4 Stress.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Chille Tid."
Target a player.
Privately, you know that if that player is a Threat to Earth, both you and that player are removed from the game.
No role info will be posted into the main thread for you or your target if you are both removed from the game in this way.
If you remove a player from the game in this way, immediately shift the Stress meter to -4.
If the targeted player is not a Threat to Earth, both you and that player are removed from the game for the current following Episode.
The outcome of this Event will be publicly known.

For a moment, I really felt like things were different, but they're not. No matter where I go, I'm trapped.

You are aligned with
Earth
.
In order to win the game, all threats to Earth must be removed from the game.
In order to win the game, at least one Earth-aligned player must be alive.

Spoiler: CENTIPEETLE
Centipeetle, A Corrupt Gem Struggling to Survive
Image
You remember me, don't you?
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Gem.
Remember, she's not cracked, she's corrupted, and that's something different, something nearly impossible to describe.

You will return negative results to any attempt to investigate you--any check to discover your alignment will result in 'Threat to Earth'.

You love chips, and I love chips! We love chips from Chaaaps!

If you are allied with a player, you both take two more votes to lynch than usual--this effect does not function in LYLO.
During the Season Finale, all members of your alliance are immune to being lynched.
Your Alliance does not grant an Alliance PT.

We'll just talk through the language of art!

During the Climax Phase, you may draw a picture with crayons or via MS Paint.
If you have access to neither, use this site: https://sketch.io/sketchpad/
You may send this picture to any other player.
These pictures may not include text--they must be images only.
If you just submit any image of your choice, all this does is count as 'visiting' the player with a Climax-action.
However, you may draw specific kinds of images and instill meaning into them.
In order to 'Instill Meaning', you must write what you intend to be true about the image.
If you instill meaning in an image, I will confirm the truth of any meaning that you instill so long as it is true.
In this way, you can mod-confirm to other players any knowledge you have.
However, if you try to Instill Meaning with regards to any factional information about your role or any factional info that you have guessed, it will fail.

EVENT:
Monster Reunion

EPISODE EVENT: Trigger at any time.
PRIORITY: 0
REQUIREMENTS: +1 Stress or higher.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Monster Reunion."
Privately, you immediately gain a private thread with the player who has the flavor of 'Steven Universe'.
Privately, you will be confirmed as town to Steven Universe.
Publicly, this Event lowers the Stress by 2.

She can stay un-bubbled. But you have to understand. Some Gems are beyond our help.

You are aligned with
Earth
.
In order to win the game, all threats to Earth must be removed from the game.
In order to win the game, at least one Earth-aligned player must be alive.

Spoiler: KEVIN
Kevin, The Coolest Character In This Show
Image
I look like a guy you know? That's impossible. There's only one... Kevin.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
Your whole "two kids in a beautiful trench coat" routine won't fool me this time, so don't even try it!

Two-Shot. Climax-Phase only. You may target a player to discover what their allying bonus is and who they are allied with.
During the Season Finale, this power will also inform you of any allying bonuses that their allies have as well.
During the Season Finale, this power is refunded one shot.

Have we met before?

Many of your abilities will earn you 'Kevin Points', which are a kind of currency that you can use to fuel other abilities that you have.
I will be keeping track of your total number of Kevin Points.
At any point in time, you may PM me to ask how many Kevin Points you have.

Heh. I see what's going on here. You've had a taste of Kevin, and now you're obsessed.

If a player ever allies with you more than once, you gain one Kevin Point.

I know, baby. I'm the worst.

All actions that target you fail. Every time an action fails in this way, you gain one Kevin Point.
Players who have their actions fail due to this ability will be informed that it was you who caused their action failure.

You know, this mountain pass has some really beautiful views. Shame you'll only be seeing my tail lights the whole time.

During the Climax Phase, you may target a player to cause their non-factional actions to fail.
Players who have their actions fail due to this ability will be informed that it was you who caused their action failure.
Every action that you cause to fail in this way causes you to gain one Kevin Point.

I know you want to be close, but this is a little clingy.

At any point in time, you may immediately end the alliance you are in to cause your allies to lose access to all their allying bonuses.
Players in your alliance will be informed that the alliance was disbanded by you, on purpose.
Every time you disband an alliance in this way, you gain one Kevin Point for each ally that you jilt.

The truth is I don't mean to be this way. I-I just lash out because of my little brother. He's sick. Been sick all our lives. Sometimes I think if I act real cool and never let anyone see my pain, then maybe the pain will go away. And maybe... I can take his pain away, too.

You may claim that you and another player share a Masonry.
So long as the other player does not refute this claim within their next five posts, this ability is successful and you gain three Kevin Points.

Dude! I don't even have a brother! I'm like this because I think it's funny! Chowzers!

You may have me mod-confirm in the public thread that you are NOT masons with the claimed player.
Doing so increases the Stress by one point.
Doing so also earns you three more Kevin Points.

Finally. You caught up. I was worried you'd miss seeing me win.

The first time that you are lynched, the votecount will reset instead--this also resets the deadline.
If you are 'lynched' in this way, you will gain two Kevin Points.

It's Kevin time.

At any point in the game, you may exchange Kevin Points for extra voting power.
You may only ever exchange up to a maximum of Kevin Points equal to 1/2 the votes required to lynch a player.
This ability may never let you be the single voting player on a lynch.

First one to the bottom wins, but you don't have to worry about that last part.

If, at any point in the game, you have twenty Kevin Points, I will inform you.
If this is the case, then you will be able to leave the game for a unique third party win.

EVENT:
Come on, how am I going to get a cool-down lap if no one wants to go?

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Trigger during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 2
REQUIREMENTS: +1 or higher Stress, at least 5 Kevin Points
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Beach City Drift."
You will challenge a player to a race.
Target a player. That player may publicly leverage non-factional information about their role and actions in order to earn points towards winning the race.
Once they ante up their information, you may spend however many Kevin Points that you want in order to win.
You will always win the race. If you don't have enough Kevin Points, you will lose all your Kevin Points.
They will be told that if they win, they get fabulous prizes, but they can not win.
If the player submitted at least five points of information, you gain back five Kevin points.
If the player submitted at least ten points of information, you may have me publicly confirm all the information they submitted.
If the player submitted at least fifteen points of information, you may choose to make that player lose all of their abilities, factional and otherwise.
Publicly, all that will be revealed is the fact that you are racing a player and that they may leverage points of information in order to attempt to win.

First place, baby! It's like I invented winning.

You are aligned with
Earth
.
In order to win the game, all threats to Earth must be removed from the game.
In order to win the game, at least one Earth-aligned player must be alive.

Spoiler: LARS
Lars, A General Annoyance to Everyone
Image
Why does everything bad happen to me?
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
I see her at work. Why do I need to see her on my day off?

You gain whatever allying bonuses that are afforded to the player you ally with.
You can not ally with the same player twice in a row.
During the Season Finale, you may use any of the allying powers you've gained access to in the past in addition to any powers you gain as a part of your Season Finale Alliance.

I was acting weird all day and you all just LIKED IT?!

If you do not take any action during the Climax Phase, all non-factional actions that target you fail.
During the Season Finale, you are unaffected by all actions and you are a non-valid target for Events.

Ugh. Everyday in Beach City is weird. That's why I hate it here.

You are aligned with
Earth
.
In order to win the game, all threats to Earth must be removed from the game.
In order to win the game, at least one Earth-aligned player must be alive.

Spoiler: BUCK
Buck Dewey, Cool Kid and Artist
Image
I only wanted to see you laughing, in the pizza rain.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
I like to just experience the moment for what it is sometimes.

So long as the Stress is at +2 or higher, all members of your alliance may use their abilities as if it were the Season Finale.
On the Season Finale, all abilities used by members of your alliance can not fail.

You got that much-needed counterpart to our cynical world view. You have to come.

One-shot. During the Climax Phase, you may target a player to learn if they took an action and if that action negatively affected another player.
During the Season Finale, this ability will also tell you which action the player took and who they targeted.
During the Season Finale, you will regain one shot of this action.

EVENT:
C'mon. It's time to hang out.

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 2

Spoiler: DR. MAHESWARAN
Doctor Priyanka Maheswaran, Concerned Mother
Image
It scares me that you can't talk to me! I need to know what's happening in your life. I need to step in when you're in over your head.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
Oh, don't worry, the rules of doctor-patient confidentiality keep me from sharing the graphic details but...

During the Climax Phase, you will protect your allies from dying.
If stress is +1 or higher, no ability may cause them to die, even kills that have advanced priority or the means to normally bypass protection.
This will not keep Events from killing your allies.

Do you know how many children I see everyday who've cut their faces off playing with swords?!

Two-Shot. Climax-Phase Only. You may target a player to learn if they have any abilities that negatively affect other players.
During the Season Finale, you are refunded one shot of this power.

NONE! Because they all have parents who love them, and who don't let them play around with deadly weapons like some kind of gang member!

One-Shot. Climax-Phase Only. You may only target a player that you got a positive result on with your previous ability.
They permanently lose access to their negative abilities for the rest of the game--this does not include factional abilities.
During the Season Finale, you are refunded one shot of this power and may use it during the Exposition Phase.

EVENT:
I'll have a talk with your father to calculate just how grounded you are. And we're using the abacus!

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 2
REQUIREMENTS: +1 or higher Stress.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Nightmare Hospital."
Target a player that you received a positive result on with your investigative ability.
The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread:
This player loses all access to any abilities, alliances, and events for two Episodes.
A votecount will be held publicly for players to decide to overturn this action.
If a majority of players vote that this player should not be grounded, this event fails.
Reduce the Stress by 1. If this Event fails, reduce the stress by 3.

Hmm, no heartbeat... Ugh, cheap hospital budgets.

I was on Mask Island. I was in a Watermelon Steven. They have a lovely community!
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are not a Human or a Gem.
Thank you. All of you. You are truly brave.

One Shot. Climax-Phase Only. If you are in an alliance, you gain access to a killing action.
During the Season Finale or if stress is at +3 or higher, this killing action will always succeed.
During the Season Finale, you are refunded one shot of this ability.

EVENT:
Steven, is that you in there?

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 1
REQUIREMENTS: +3 or higher Stress.

The following information will be publicly posted in the game thread:
All private threads except for alliances are locked for the duration of this Event.
Once this Event ends, the Exposition phase continues as normal.
For 48 hours, players may privately submit a target that they want to be lynched.
Once that time is up, whatever player has the most votes will be put up for lynch.

The following information is private and only known to you:
If there is a tie, you may decide which player is lynched.
You may decide not to lynch this player, however.
If you decide against lynching the player, Stress goes down by 6 points.
If you decide to lynch the player, they are lynched and Stress goes down by 3 points.

You don't know what I've done in these shoes.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
Next thing you know, I'm living with the fisherman.

You may choose to continue to keep old allied PTs open for communication even after you have allied with another player.
During the Season Finale, you gain the allying bonuses that any of these old alliances afforded you.

EVENT:
Well, whatever you are, don't be a stranger.

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Activate during the Climax Phase.
PRIORITY: 0
REQUIREMENTS: +2 or higher Stress. Can not be activated on Episode 1 or 2.

Okay Onion, let's do this. Whatever weird or horrible thing you have planned for me, I can take it.
You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human. I think.
Ready for another round with this guy?

Players that you are allied with can not kill you or hammer you.
During the Season Finale, no player may kill or hammer you.

Huh? Did he get that guy's lunch? I wonder how this is gonna play out.

During each Climax phase, you may target a player to steal something from them.
If the Stress is at +2 or higher, you may target two players in this way.
At the beginning of the following Episode, you will be given a brief, flavor-oriented description of what you stole.

This is ridiculous. How did he get my Replicator?

You may only use this ability during a Season Finale.
During the Exposition phase, you may target a player to steal an ability from.
They will be informed that their ability has been stolen but not who took it.
You may use their ability for the rest of the game.
If the stolen ability has limited shots, you will be limited to however many shots were left when you stole it.

You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
Listen, Star Child. I can do you one better than a carwash.

As long as you are allied with a player, their Climax actions will always fail.
During the Season Finale, you may allow a player you allied with before to double their Climax Actions.

Sorry I've been gone so long, but you know how the music biz can be, r-i-i-ight?

One-Shot. Non-Consecutive. Exposition Phase only.

You are aligned with the Town Faction. You are a Human.
You kids want another lifetime ban?

Once per game, you may target a player to cause them to be unable to take part in any Events or use any Events of their own for the rest of the game.

Yeah. You can say we're a little "fun-derstaffed."

You may only use this ability if you are in an alliance or if stress is at +2 or higher.
During the Climax Phase, you can give one of the following powers to another player:
One-shot, Climax Phase, form a Neighborhood with a player that allows for chat for the rest of the game.
One-shot, Exposition Phase, Vote for a player twice.
One-shot, Exposition Phase, Lock a player's vote in place for the rest of the Exposition.
You can only give out each of these abilities once, but your choice of one is refunded during the Season Finale.

EVENT:
All this running around. I'm not even in a union.

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Event--Activate during the Climax Phase.

As long as you are allied, all negative abilities that would affect your ally are redirected to you instead.
During the Season Finale, you are immune to redirected abilities.

There's a lot of other people having "me" time tonight. But it's alright. I love running. Anyways, Gotta get back to it!

Once this Event is over, the Exposition Phase will begin as normal.
When submitting this event, you will also select three players to make up a 'panel of judges'.
You must designate another player to be who you challenge to a 'Restaurant War'.
That player and their alliance will be pitted against you and your alliance.
Each member of both alliances may submit one piece of information that they know to be true to the panel of judges.
Information about other roles can only be submitted as "This player told me [information]" or "I used an ability to learn [information]."
Lies can be submitted.
The judges will each individually judge each piece of information--it is anonymous who sent which info.
A Judge can either reward or deny the information given.
If a Truth is rewarded, it gains the team one point.
If a Truth is denied, it loses the team one point.
If a Lie is rewarded, it gain the team two points.

THE LEFTOVERS
(INDIVIDUALLY ALIGNED THIRD PARTY):

Spoiler: PERIDOT
Peridot, A Homeworld Gem Learning to Live on Earth
Image
This place doesn't exactly feel like home yet.
You are aligned with The Leftovers (Third Party). You are a Gem.
I can tell you with certainty that there are things on this planet worth protecting!

You know that there is a faction in this game called 'The Crystal Gems,' and that they are unified with the Town faction.
After Episode 2 but before the end of Episode 4 (the first Season Finale), you may join The Crystal Gems at any time.
If you join The Crystal Gems, you will lose your current win condition and gain the win condition of The Crystal Gems.

I'm the one who betrayed the mission, who called Yellow Diamond a clod, the new leader of the Crystal Gems!

If you are the Leader of the Crystal Gems, you may not be lynched or killed except if you are the last remaining Crystal Gem.
Your priority for being the Leader of the Crystal Gems is 7.

Doesn't anything work on this cruddy planet!?

All members of your Alliance may chat during the entire Episode.

What do I know? Everything there is to know, you pebble!

Two-shot. Climax Phase Only. You may target a player you are allied with in and choose any number of alliance chats you have had access to.
The targeted player will gain viewing access to any previous alliance chats you selected in this way.
During the Season Finale, you are refunded one shot of this ability.

Log date -- whatever, Facet -- whatever! Ughh, WHATEVER!

Each votecount may feature a 'tweet' message that is flavor-confirmed to come from Peridot.
You may write me a message to post with any upcoming votecount, but I will only post one per Votecount.
These messages can not exceed 150 characters in length. If they do, I will cut them short.

I've got metal powers! I'll show you! ...in a moment!

Unlimited Shots. Climax Phase only.
You may target a player to send them a useless hunk of metal.
If a player tries to kill you while you are using this ability on them, you will kill that player instead.

EVENT:
Direct Line to the Diamonds

EPISODE EVENT: Climax Only
PRIORITY: 0
REQUIREMENTS: +2 Stress or higher.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Message Received."
You may confirm your flavor to the scum-team and send their leader a single message of your choice.
Publicly, all that will be known is that a player has sent a message to the scum team as a result of this Event.

EVENT:
A Trap for Clods

EPISODE EVENT: Exposition Only--Trigger any time a player successfully allies with you.
PRIORITY: 2
REQUIREMENTS: +2 Stress or higher.
Tied to the Flavor of the episode "Friend Ship."
You may immediately (privately) end your alliance to cause all players allied with you to publicly be removed from the game for an entire Episode.
You may privately decide to kill a single player that is removed in this way. They will die upon returning to the game.

I'm still learning. I hope you understand. I want to understand. I'm sorry.

You are aligned with
The Leftovers
.
In order to win the game, you must survive until another faction reaches their win-condition.
Once another faction reaches their win-condition, so do you.
If you die before this happens, you lose the game.

KEEP BEACH CITY WEIRD:Hey there I'm trying to type some really long message though I am having difficulty.

Pay attention to this:

Must serve others. Others must see this. Don't look back!
Look only forward. In your mind, it's raining. Everywhere else, it's also raining. So protect yourself.

Hopefully it isn't screwed up. Anyway, I won't give my reads otherwise my identity will be revealed and that won't be nice (I'd like to stay around a little longer).

Btw, I believe there are 6 scum members if there's only one team checking Varsoon's first Steven Universe game. Also, pay attention to how SirCakez and MathBlade wagons developed, we might get something from there.

Meanwhile, hunt more scum.

(I'll try to make a bigger post next time)

KEEP BEACH CITY WEIRDI don't know what to post here.

Did you understand the last message? It's something like that secret hidden faction of weird tridimensional heros you all must know about that has been revealed. I can make a cool story about that, if you give me permission.

Let's make that stress up, if someone's very likely scum, we lynch him (unless it's me of course), any flip will help us. If you have the ability to increase the stress, feel free to use it.

I recommend you analyse the votes of the Beach-a-palooza event, it might contain something interesting. Lynching/clearing everybody outside the 3 main choices (Titus, mastin2, Not Chara) first is recommended, don't try to sway the lynch elsewhere.

And...Well I am just an advertiser, I could share more, but that would be revealing my secret identity and that's not nice. Wished I could make this message bigger, but then that'd get too out of the game.

Inb4 I die.

Welp, I already outted, so there's no more point in this blog. If TWIE flips town I don't know who's scum.

I'll try testing things with this:
Pregame: Allied with randomidget. The PT was open during Day 1.
Night 1: Allied with Shiro, failed. The PT would be open during Day 2.
Night 2: Allied with SnarkySnowman. The PT was open during Day 3.
Night 3: Allied with Shadow_step and Xkfyu. The PT was open during Day 4 and Night 4.
Night 4: Allied with grapes, failed. The PT would be open during Day 5.

Night 3: I managed to investigate randomidget even though SnarkySnowman was supposed to roleblock me. Double-checked, triple-checked, the result I got is indeed correct and not misunderstood.

Also, MoI, if you're so confident I am scum, let's play a game:

Say something like "If Creature flips town, I'll..."

Hopefully TWIE flips scum, some investigative have damning leads and game is soon solved. I don't want this game to end in a loss when we got three scum pretty early.

Also it'd be fun if we could get more posts than SMITE mafia.

I'll talk more in the game thread, actually useless to talk here.

Night 1: Discovered that there is, in fact, no Cheese in Cheez-Chaps. Whatever they are putting in there is a LIE!
Night 2: Weird monsters attacked Beach City! Speculation is that they were sent by Chaps-corp because I have discovered the truth.
Night 3: Everyone seems to be doing better and the threats have died down, but I speculate that something big is coming...
Night 4: Earthquakes! I investigated and found a large injector in the nearby canyon. Are the rock-people and Chaps-corp teaming up? I would have to champion Justice and Truth if I was to stand against them both...

Night 3: My notes seem awfully foreboding, it's as if I knew! I Double-checked, triple-checked, the result I got is indeed correct and not misunderstood.

If kraska flips scum, I'm not sure who's the other scum.

Hopefully my investigation succeeded. I actually went with who I thought most needed to be investigated, if I were supposed to follow something, I must've missed it. Anyway, if you want me to reveal it, you can call me in-thread.

And that must be 100 words, maybe we can make this game the game with the most posts if you don't mind.

I sincerely apologize for any frustrations caused by this game and my moderation. I am aware now that the setup likely has some shortcomings that, while perhaps not evident on every iteration of this game, were clear in this play-through. I did make major moderators error in regards to resolving actions I shouldn't have (the whole Snarky Snowman debacle) and I apologize for how that negatively impacted the game.

I hope that everyone had a fun time despite these pitfalls.

The reality is that this game was incredibly stressful for me to run. I poured a ton of time into the setup, only to end up with issues left and right (such as having an earlier, poorly written version of the scum's factional events posted in their PT for a majority of the first day) that made the overall quality of the game suffer. I pushed for elements of the setup that I found interesting (the Crystal Gem faction) that I won't be able to justifiably run in another setup for years, at least, due to the fact that the faction only works if kept a secret. If public, it changes the dynamic entirely. Please refer to the dead thread if you're curious for more justification I have on these points, but I realize now it was likely a mistake to design the setup this way, if only because it could iterate out poorly. The poor outcomes of what I felt were good/fun design decisions and earnest efforts to run the game (botched VCs, messed up actions, etc) contributed to a lot of mod stress on top of what's already there for singlehandedly running a game of this caliber and magnitude. I tried to direct some of that frustrated energy to luchador jokes. I don't know if it helped, but I will stand by this setup, even if it had me losing sleep and pulling hairs.

]This is being written at the start of LYLO, without the benefit of knowing how Mastin is going to decide to resolve things. I just thought I should take the time to explain some of the decisions we've made without necessarily forcing everyone to wade through the infinite logs Drixx and I have left in our hydra PT.

1) The SC wagon. This was a bit of shitshow. We were prepared to step in and keep SC from being lynched, however his posting, for the most part, never really dissuaded anyone in and of itself. Even though we knew his loss would be a major blow to us, especially given that it would remove any uncertainty from the DGB/KC situation(even though somehow it didn't....), we couldn't risk throwing good money after bad, as it were, and risking our slots who were decently positioned.
2) The Klingoncelt kill. We knew that KC was a gem, and from what Yume had told us had a good idea that the gems had a pt together/were confirmed to one another. During D2 there was a major incident where mastin2 insisted that there were no third parties, which we knew to be false. The goals with this kill were threefold: First, to remove a Crystal Gem, so as to enable Skybirds late game powers; Second, to prove that there WERE third parties, and thus discredit mastin(at that exact moment her reads were actually atrociously wrong, however we were in more contact with Titus, the other likely town leader, and thus wanted town to be more inclined to listen to the individual we were actively influencing, rather than the one we had no communication with; Third, simply to remove someone who we expected to have a very powerful role.
3)Beach-A-Palooza: Yes, Mastin, we did deliberately give you the victory here. Out of all the reasons you had for suspecting us, this particular connection was the soundest one. We specifically told you about our hammer power(which did exist, and which Varsoon did tell us would count as a killing power even if we didn't have access to our factional) because we knew we'd be your most likely target, and because the rest of the target you had expressed interest in were either town, or S_S, who would show up as innocent to a gunsmith. In hindsight, piling onto Titus would have likely been better, but we expected the gems, at least, to follow along with the plan as we had presented to them, and to hopefully get their allies to go along as well. Basically, Titus winning seemed unlikely if people acted as they said they would.
4) The Yume kill: A rather critical moment of this game. First of all, full disclosure: This was a fuck-up, plain and simple. The objectives were to, again, work towards removing all the gems, buying skybird some town cred from the unlikeliness of scum!her removing Yume, as well as hoping that removing Yume would cause the gems actual win condition to be revealed, and/or remove the delay on flips, and finally, to pile on so much stress as to enable strong town powers whose usage would slingshot stress back down to -3, so the cluster could be activated the next day. Only the third objective was attained, through enabling TFL99's vote/lynch event. The fuck up here was simply that we completely forgot about XKFYU's event. We did not consider that we would be enabling it at all. Perhaps our reasoning would have been similar to that which we were accused of, that we wouldn't have thought he would have dared to use it on Skybird, had we considered it...but we didn't. And it cost us our end game plan.
5) Historical Fiction: During this event, we didn't have ANY plans in place. We had expected to be able to communicate during it and learn exactly what people claimed and determine how best to manipulate the game, but due to Fuzzy's event, we were unable to speak with TWIE. The most important thing that occurred here was TWIE's decision to make Skybirds declaration of actions true. She originally submitted that she attempted to kill us, but TWIE decided that if/when no explanation for our survival surfaced, that would immediately lead to our death, and that "clearing" grapes was worth removing that risk. i think both lines could have worked, given that protectives generally won't claim, and all it would take is one flipped targeted protective that hadn't claimed an action N1 to allow that gambit to work. Either way, we had no influence over the way this event played out.
6) Return to Earth: This event was bullshit. Such an incredibly weak, CRAPPY thing. Drixx and I joked about how useless it was as soon as we sat down and chatted about events. We planned to NEVER use it...until Farside hammered and left the town with nearly no planned alliances. That turned it from "shit event" into "free no lynch", and coupled with the guilty on TWIE, "potential free kill with a bus that would get everyone EXTRA cred since we could have made ourselves unable to vote". I still don't understand how this didn't work, btw....kraska should not have been able to ally with farside, so there should have been NO alliances at all, so kraska should not have been able to stop it. Of course, since our own planned alliances ended up failing for other reasons, I think if kraska hadn't stopped the event, we wouldn't have been able to submit a kill for the night either, making the day a wash and the event a waste.
7) Shooting Farside: This was spurred by S_S's realization that farside had claimed to be a roleblocker, and that she was suspicious of my slot. Since S_S was incapable of submitting the kill, this meant if Farside remained around it was simply a matter of time until she stopped one of my kills and caught us, so she had to go...which was a damn shame, because this whole time Drixx and I had planned to have her as a ripe LYLO lynch. Unfortunately, farside didn't understand her own role, and we could have ignored her safely, and not wasted this kill. Fun fact Farside: Drixx and I, prior to Titus stealing our power, had considered making you an offer of nightly targeting in our alliance, to guarantee you'd get your 3p win. After we lost our power, our team no longer had any means of targeting other than the NK, making this idea unworkable, but I think it could have been an interesting gambit.
8)Shooting MoI: Simply put, we determined that succeeding or failing on this kill would have no effect on how many lynches we needed to succeed on in order to win, and decided it was worth it to take the shot and add to the weight of evidence against the possibility of us being scum. Our information was also incomplete and we didn't know exactly what form MoI would continue in, so we had some hope that they would simply be stumped or otherwise weakened.
9) Getting Farside shot by Fuzzy, and skipping our own kill: At this stage, as I outlined in the game, we couldn't afford for there to be any more clears...this meant we had to deal with A50's track on grapes. A50 was an essential part of our lylo win at this stage, so the simplest option, simply shooting A50, wasn't an option...and we didn't trust that the town would seriously consider that grapes could be a ninja. That meant the next simplest option was simply skipping our kill, empowered though it was, to maximize the uncertainty in the game. At this stage, Farsides death was, again, unfortunate. We would have preferred to have her alive in lylo, or removed via her 3p win con to give us a free kill, but keeping A50 alive to vote with us was more important than keeping her alive to be voted on. On this day we could have also let Fuzzy shoot A50, while we shot mastin, but again...we WANTED A50 alive in lylo pretty badly.
10)Setting stress to +4: The event used to set stress to +4 was intended to cause the following sequence to happen(because we did not expect the bubble to happen that night): mislynch grapes, shoot a gem, in 4p mylo. Stress is at +4, and nobody is lynchable because tragic destiny was in effect. Get a free kill that night, which would be on either Mastin or Shiro, both of whom were conftown(Shiro because we had reached 4 or less alive, therefore there couldn't be two scum alive), putting us into an us, a50, mastin/shiro LYLO. We weren't certain which one we preferred to have in lylo with us, there were argument to be made for both.
11) The bubbling of grapes etc: The "guaranteed wins" which we offered town on this day phase were all fundamentally flawed because once grapes was returned and left the game, we would again be at 4 alive, forcing a no lynch. This would force the game into a state where a missed bubble by random would result in a game loss. An unfortunate side effect of this plan was that if random didn't bubble that night, we would immediately lose because it would be impossible for anyone else to be scum. Our only counter in that situation was no killing YET AGAIN and hoping to force the lynch on Shiro or Grapes. It would be a long shot, but it was our only play in that situation.
12)After Grapes' event was revealed my MoI, we were quite concerned since that ability obviously messed up our timeline that would allow us to sculpt the endgame we desired, with the conftown we wanted left alive. We decided to push ahead with the plan though, raising stress to +4 and enabling it etc, because we believed that grapes was most likley to use his power on A50, which wasn't going to be fatal, and that it was POSSIBLE that grapes' power was climax only, in which case his refusal to use the event could be easily painted as scum in mylo just trying ot eke ou that last day to get a win. In spite of this prior planning, we were surprised when the morning came and grapes and A50 were gone. I had assumed that grapes, being town, had honestly claimed his power to random, and the fact that they didn't use it during the previous day came down to the inactivity that comes from not being alive in a game anymore. This put us into a rather desperate spot, where we did in fact expect to lose almost immediately due to the fact that mastin remained alive and had been both reluctant to consider the idea of a seven man scum team and tunneling us all game. Our initial plan for the day was to keep all the possible options for the scum team open, that is,A50, RR, A50/Grapes, Grapes/Shiro, and Shiro/A50(because we knew the town had not been paying close enough attention to the tragic destiny mylo/lylo triggers to clear them on that basis(as is easily noted because when Grapes was returned to teh game, Varsoon did not include the Tragic Destiny increase in the lynch threshold, and nobody mentioned it) however we soon realized that on a 14 day timeline, we had to expect that the easily cleared pairings would be caught and decided to get out ahead of them. This is what led to us removing A50, A50/Shiro(this was a mistake on my part, I KNEW they were cleared by the same reasoning but forgot to include it in my posting), and then eventually Shiro alone. This led us to a game state where we were able to nudge Shiro towards no lynching without causing alarm in mastin that could have caused her to immediatley hammer us. Unfortunately, Shiro didn't engage with us anymore after we had responded to his mechanical concerns about a 7 scum man team, and so the opportunity to shut mastin out of the equation entirely and jump straight ot a win wasn't realized.

I'll have more to say later, but I just wanted to get all this out as soon as the end of game was announced.

Pedit: McMenno, don't. I will be EXTREMELY pissed if anyone else displays even the tiniest bit of arrogance in victory.

Seriously.

I haven't had fun in this game for like 2 months and Varsoon requested we not give up REPEATEDLY. We knew we had a miniscule chance of winning off purely mechanical things for months, and that was when we thought the gems only had limited bubbling.

I will not abide anyone thinking they can, joking or not, gloat in any way.
GTK a me, currently live, this may be your only chance!

Good game everyone.

Mastina, we'll have a few minor words on pushing TWIE and taking credit for that but you made the right decision. I am proud overall. Titus and Mastina, we may argue but Transparent Obscurity wins every time.

The scum had the misfortune of Titus being absurdly accurate on day one.Really quite impressed by that.~Drixx

You're letting Titus win the game by herself.Good luck now I guess. You have no chance to win.~Tywin

So, you know who I am, and I have this to say:

I'll start from the beginning. I feel as the character I got wasn't a mistake. We share the same qualities basically, the good and the bad ones. We share all of them.

But we both also have a flaw. We are treated as useless and maybe we are. This game in particular, was a proof of it. We joined it together as a test that we can stand on our own, and we played together ever since. I done what I believed he would have done in such a situation, and he loved this game, I could tell.

Yet, we feel as if we've failed this test. We messed up, I'll admit it freely. We trusted the wrong people and the ones we didn't trust turned out to be allies of ours.

While we started to mistrust Eyeball partway through the game, we couldn't bring ourselves to get rid of her via our ability, mainly because she was nice to us and we wanted her around. This was our biggest mistake, we feel.

And then we were killed. We liked to think this happened because we did something right, but ultimately it turned out we got killed because they feared a power we didn't even have, not because of play-based reasons. We considered using it, but by the time we decided to, it was too late to do so.

Our only use was by dying, allowing for the end of Eyeball. And even then, we were against her death. As they say, once fooled, forever fooled.

And as it turns out, we caused our own death ourselves. They needed us to directly admit it, and we did.

Another thing, we got told we were among the most powerful individuals in the game, ability wise. Yet, we were perhaps the wrong people to have them. We had to rely on others for most of our time alive. The only thing we did on our own was trying to shield our group from death, and we received criticism for doing this.

So basically, we were largely useless. We feel we are simply followers as opposed to someone who makes their own decisions.

That will be all.
