Yes there's not a lot to go on at this stage, but it does sound like the mod is wanting some more counting practice. 3 votes doesn't put him/her in too much danger of a lynch so I'll add my vote to the let's-hear-from-genku pile.

unvote: green crayons

vote: genku

I think he's the only one we haven't heard from so far?

Thats good. What do we do now?

FOS: Genku You've posted, but you haven't actually *said* anything. But 4 votes would be tempting fate/mafia. Speak.

Heh, all I can really say is I'm not scum, I'm not scum. Don't kill me. But I didn't really see the point in saying that since I would say that even if I'm not scum.. but really, I was having major computer problems.

If you want proof of my computer problems.. go check to see my other posts.. all my posts stopped for a few days.. and then I came back for no reason and posted that I'm back on both games of mafia.. you think I would lurk on the entire forum because I'm in the mafia on this one game?

genku noone thinks you are scum just becouse your computer didn't work for a few days. But your defense is a little strange. I was expecting a less worried answer and more on who do you find suspicious.

Well yeah, I was worried.. my computer breaks for a few weeks and I come back to see that I'm halfway to a lynch. Heh, anyway.. blah.. nobody has really said anything too stupid yet for me to be suspicious. And hell, you guys have no leads either.. hence voting for the silent ones. *shrug*

Getting lynched on day 1 of your first game really sucks
(i know from experience!!), so
unvote: genku

I'm also not sure that waiting for someone to make a mistake is going to help us much. Better to try and get the conversation moving a bit.

Here's my current thoughts:

We probably have at least 3 baddies amongst us. That means there's at most 7 goodies. 6 votes are needed to lynch, so we pro-towners must make sure and use our vote, or we have very little chance of catching a scum today.

I'll be voting for whoever hasn't put a vote on within 24 hours (unless they have a good reason)

Okay, I won't just sit around then.. we need to get the ball rolling.. but I don't think we should just randomly lynch someone. We have as much time as we need, correct? So why rush it?

Here are my current thoughts.

1. No hurry as there is no deadline as yet.
2. Who would want to kill PBug and Shadyforce when there's DP and Rite...? Mafia tends to kill famous players they have seen in action.
3. Is Green Crayons usually this quiet? He just voted Xeno, said he was innocent in the past, which is suspicious, partially because rite has already voted xeno. Come to think of it, why is rite so quiet? Macros is also quiet, but he's macros and is always like that in past experience.
...whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.

I've been whomped with work lately. I should have some time to post over the weekend, but rest assured I'm here.

As for my thoughts, see my title. I firmly believe in the bandwagon someone, even randomly, getting them to claim, then backing off if the claim is believable. It's about our only option-- there hasn't been much suspicious behavior, so we can't bw on the basis of that, and I'd hate to ask a cop to reveal on night one.

Unvote Genku.

Mafia tactics obviously need to vary from game to game. Taking out experienced players on Night 1 was popular for a while, but then the docs caught up with that and started protecting the experienced players on night 1.

Next - to encourage more participation:

Vote Green Crayons

Yeah, I wasn't suggesting we randomly lynch somebody, just that we weren't making a lot of progress.
If however, we do end up with a deadline, we will probably also end up with a random lynch because there wont be time to sniff out the scum.
Just my opinion.

I'll also jump on the bandwagon
vote: green crayons
(still a cool name!)
That's 3 votes by my count.

I agree with Talitha, it is very important that we lynch a bad guy today. Of course getting the SK would be best since it would mean we get one less kills tomorrow.
It would be nice to hear from GC (and everyone else too) but we might have some other clues too. I feel some people are just too happy to coast along. Anyway let's try and get Green Crayons in to the discussion too and then maybe we can come up with more substantial votes.

Hmmm I said I would vote for whoever hadn't put a vote on, but by my count there's still 3 who haven't voted. So I guess my little threat to encourage participation didn't work. Probably a bad idea anyway...

There are a few who haven't posted for a while....

Best to leave my vote where it is, for now.

Well, my vote on DP won't achieve anything, so why don't you vote for me?

(FOS: Talitha. )

I'm just waiting for Crayons over here to say something to avoid a lynch, or if he doesn't I'd like to be one of the ones to lynch him butI'll probably miss it due to timezones

um.. yeah.
