The game will end when one faction has fulfilled its win condition, unless otherwise specified.

3) Voting:

3b) Voting Formatting:

4) No Lynch:

5) Deadlines:
Each game phase will have its deadline set by the moderator. In general, “day” phases can be expected to last two weeks.
6) Mass Inactivity:
In an act of pure villainy, I may shorten the deadline if I deem the activity level is unsatisfactory. You will be warned if I want you fellows to pick up the pace before I shorten the deadline.
7) Deadline Lynches:
*This game uses special game procedures. Please see mechanic details.*
8) Twilight:
After someone receives the majority vote, everyone may still discuss the game, but votes and unvotes will not be considered - the person voted for by the majority will be lynched regardless. Twilight will last until I waltz in and post a death scene (which can be quite short, but never really long).
9) Night Length and Procedures:
*This game uses special game procedures. Please see mechanic details.*
9b) Accelerated Nights:
*This game uses special game procedures. Please see mechanic details.*
10) Night Action Resubmission:
If you have to PM a choice to the mod (i.e. the name of someone you want to kill/protect/investigate), you may change your choice at any time during the Night by sending The Mod another PM with the new choice. The most recent choice will be honored when night deadline hits.
11) Night Action Priority:
This game will use natural action resolution, unless otherwise stated by the mod. Specific questions about night action resolution will be referred back to this post.
12) Bolding Stuff:
Bolding
something is how you get the mod to notice it. It's that simple.
13) Mod Color:
If the mod needs to edit your post, it will be done in
bolded, green font
. Don't impersonate me, or I'll cut off your thumbs and feed them to you.
14) Activity, Prods, and Replacements:
You will be prodded if three days have passed since your last post. If I check in and you had, say, 80 hours of inactivity but you've since posted, you will not be issued a prod... but I check in pretty frequently. If you are prodded three times or do not respond to a prod within 24 hours (meaning posting in thread), you will be replaced (and probably blacklisted).
14b) Vacation / Limited Access:
Real life comes up and mafia games take a long time. If you're going to be inactive for an extended amount of time, feel free to post a
V/LA
in thread. However, in order for the V/LA to be recognized, please be sure to set your inactivity in your UCP (User Control Panel -> Vacation / Limited Access tab) as prods/activity checks are done from the Activity Overview.
15) Hydra requirements:
Usually, hydras are banned from my games. If they are allowed, I do
not
tolerate excessive account slipping. There's no hard and fast number or ratio on this, but don't be surprised if you get force-replaced if you can't seem to ever post from the right account.
16) "Bah!" Posts:
If your player slot is killed off, it's probably because people don't want you around. Unless your role specifically states you can keep talking/voting/playing Monopoly with me, you are allowed one informationless "bah" post and then scram til endgame. Special mechanics can of course overlap.
17) Outside Discussion:
Don't discuss this game outside of this thread with anyone unless your Role PM lets you do otherwise.
18) Post Editing:
Editing or deleting posts is not allowed (and usually not possible). Doublepost with your changes instead. I will modkill for a single abuse of this rule.
19a) Mod and PM quoting:
For role PMs, If you quote it, you will be modkilled. You can send me the reformulation (I'm pretty loose with reformulation) and I will tell you if posting it is allowed or if it needs further modifications. If you quote a PM from me, you will be terminated (barring questions about rules or something). I would advise avoiding discussion related to role PM wording as that's a quick way for a flurry of modkills to hit the game.
19b) QTs and Private Communication:
If it is a moderator provided method of communication (i.e., neighbor QT, or masons who use AIM) do not quote it in the thread. Obviously, do not provide links to the QT in any way shape or form.
20) Modkills:
Breaking any of the above rules (or flagrantly violating Rule 16) will result in you getting modkilled. Modkills can be retroactive. If a living player breaks any of these rules, the day may or may not end, depending on what would disadvantage that player's faction the most. In addition, getting modkilled results in an instant loss for that player, along with my general hatred. In short, follow the rules, don't be a dick.
21) Small/Invisible text:
You may use smaller text if it amuses you, as long as it's not meant to bypass a rule. As in, no hidden messages or shit like that. Don't use cryptology (breadcrumbs are fine). I will fuck you up for fucking with my game.
22) Win Mentality:
Play to win.
23) Policy:
Have fun. Or else. And remember, it's a game - keep it classy and don't take things personally; everyone's doing what they have to to win.
24) Setup Design:
This game was designed based on a central mechanic
25) Flavor:
The flavor in this game is light and based on the Galactic Senate from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.
Town PM:
Galactic Senate Mechanics
This game will utilize a mechanic based on the structure and design of the Galactic Senate from the final days of the Republic, as it is literally the only interesting thing about Episode 1.
SPECIAL ROLES/TITLES
Supreme Chancellor
: The Supreme Chancellor is largely a figurehead for the Senate. He may cast tiebreaker votes if there is a tie during a motion. He also cannot be the target of a motion. He is elected during the first election phase and remains in power for the rest of the game, unless a
Vote of No Confidence
is called and successfully completed during the
Open Debate
phase. This removal of power requires majority+1 to complete, if possible. A new election for Supreme Chancellor will be triggered and have a 48 hour window for voting. If no decision is reached by the time deadline hits, the leading wagon will win, or it will be randomized.
Vice Chancellor
: Only the Vice Chancellor may call motions to the floor for a vote, and during the
motion
phase, only players given the floor by the Vice Chancellor are allowed to speak. The Vice Chancellor cannot be removed from power after being elected, but a new election happens after every recess. If no decision is reached by the time deadline hits, the leading wagon will win, or it will be randomized.
PHASES
Election
: During the first election phase of the game, players will vote for a Supreme Chancellor and a Vice Chancellor. In every following election phase, players will only vote for a Vice Chancellor. Simple majority vote is required to elect someone.
Open Debate
: This is a general discussion phase where anyone can speak. Players will also suggest motions during this phase by typing: “
Motion: Remove PLAYER
”. These motions are this game’s form of lynches. This will last until deadline, or until the Vice Chancellor decides to put a motion to the floor.
Motion
: Once the Vice Chancellor calls a motion to the floor, open debate ceases. The Vice Chancellor may call on people to have the floor and say their peace, then may call the vote.
Vote
: Everyone submits TO THE MODERATOR whether they vote “Yea” or “Nay” for the motion. After all votes are submitted, or deadline hits (any votes not submitted will be ‘nay’), the mod will reveal the result of the vote and proceed accordingly. This is also when players submit who, if anyone, they would like to visit during the recess.
Recess
: After each vote, a 72-hour recess will occur. During this time, players will receive Private Topics to speak with anyone who entered the same chamber as them. After 72 hours, the main thread will be unlocked and chambers closed.

Turmoil has engulfed the
Galactic Republic. The taxation
of trade routes to outlying star
systems is in dispute.
While the Galactic Senate works
to try and resolve a peaceful
resolution to the conflict, rumors
begin to surface of an ancient, evil
Sith Lord trying to rise to power.
The representatives of the Senate
are hyper aware of the threat
posed by the Sith, and must
work together as a unit to
defeat them. Can they use
politics to overcome?
It is now the Election Phase!
Both SUPREME CHANCELLOR and VICE CHANCELLOR must be elected.
Deadline for elections is (expired on 2015-06-01 12:00:00).

@Mod so at the end of a motion, someone will be on the line then we pm you if we wanna lynch that person?
Correct. People may put forward names for consideration during the open debate phase, then the Vice Chancellor will call for a vote on a specific person. Votes will be submitted either "yea" (for the lynch) or "nay" (against the lynch), and they are submitted privately, to the mod. I will then reveal the votes after I receive everything.

Unpack this a little bit. What about SC is particularly interesting?
