"Mod-Less" Grand Idea Mafia - Maybe another time
I can't really run a full game of Grand Idea Mafia, but the setup is supposed to be able to run modless, so how about we give it a try.
Rulea:
1. Standard rules apply.
2. 15 minute days, 5 minute Night I, and 5 minute Night II.
3. Pregame:
3a. Randomly obtain a role and alignment from Grand Idea using random.org. We will not be verifying rolls and instead running on the honor system.
3b. People who roll scum (including serial killer), neighbor, lover, mason, monk, etc. must PM me such so that I can setup threads. Please note that I am however not actually modding but rather am here to coordinate the initial phase and resolve conflicts. (Aka all the easy tasks and none of the hard ones.)
3c. People who roll Miller should also PM me so I can inform the necessary people.
3d. People who roll Informed or Ascetic are out of luck in this kind of game. It's just not reasonably possible to resolve those without a true moderator. I guess Ascetic can post publicly in thread they are so during night.
3e. If a role says moderator chooses, you may make that choice yourself.
3f. Any roll that makes massive changes to the setup should be rerolled (e.g.: Guaranteed 7-2).
4. Day:
4a. Day ends at deadline or at a hammer. I will post the deadline to help facilitate the game.
4b. I emphasize I am not modding--players are responsible for vote counts, etc.
4c. Plurality elimination rules should be used. Wagon formation time should be the tiebreaker.
5. Night I:
5a. Scum determine factional kills at this time. They should post it in bold in their thread.
5b. As coordinator, I will post a deadline.
5c. I will lock the thread during this phase.
6: Night II:
6a. All non-factional actions are posted in-thread publicly.
6b. Though the thread is unlocked, it may not be used to converse. Posting anything else is grounds for a modkill.
6c. All actions are final once posted. Please do not post multiple times to increase the ability to run the game efficiently.
7: Night Resolution:
7a. Scum will resolve their respective kills publicly using the night actions publicly posted. Again, the honor system applies, but having them post it in their threads should mitigate abuse.
7b. All other active actions are to be resolved by their poster, if possible.
7c. Reflexive actions should be resolved by the person who has the reflexive role.
7d. Other passives should be resolved as best as possible.
7e. Some actions will be impossible to resolve properly; that is okay since we're doing this pseudo-mod-less.
7f. I will post when this phase is done. It shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.
7g. Cops, Seers, etc. will receive results from their investigative targets. Since sanity will be known anyway, sanity should be posted alongside the actual investigative action.
7h. Actions must be posted with enough detail to resolve them. Posting Track: XYZ is fine, but if you post something like "Normalize: XYZ", be prepared to explain what that means.
Any questions? Concerns?

Here's some text to break up all the links in my sig.
Currently my favorite role I've seen in a Normal.

there is supposed to be a discord bot to automate modding isn't there? Modding games by hand is hell but I also think games without VCs are hard to play"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"
"Well, I..."
"What? Nothing? You would make the prince suffer over... nothing?"-

I have no idea. I was actually planning on running this on the forums. You could consider this an experiment as to running a game with as minimal moderator influence as possible.
Also, I modified a few rules, so be sure to look through again.-

an alternative may be to have someone as designated votecounter each day. That could work as well.
Or I could post VCs I guess... but I'd rather not... kinda feels like might as well have a mod at that point.-

Having the "facilitator" resolve cops and seers (without converting them to Announcing cops and announcing seers I guess) kind of kills the poetic, zen "there is no mod" part on its own for me."Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

This might be a case where I should be minimal with opinions since I'm not the target audience anyway. Converting cops to announcing seems like a good change though. It kind of makes them friendly neighbors but cops usually clear themselves anyway"Let us say that you are right and there are two worlds. How much, then, is this 'other world' worth to you? What do you have there that you do not have here? Money? Power? Something worth causing the prince so much pain for?'"

Let's go with reroll. This isn't very amenable to wide-scale alterations as proposed. In post 9, NotAJumbleOfNumbers wrote:What happens if a setup roll changes other rolls-
