Congratulations on your win, town and pirates. A lot of you did well and called out at least parts of the scumteam.
This felt like a pretty rough game for me. I think I did ok at some points but ultimately lacked motivation, especially when I started to get scumread. I set out to use a tone that (imo) was a bit different from my usual for both alignments, but I did not obtain a convincingly towny result, I think.
You may converse with members of your team at all times while alive in the Arsonist Cartel PT.
Each night, a member of your faction may do one of the following (but both cannot be done on the same night)
- Choose a Player to

in a flammable liquid. Assuming no interference to your action, that player will become
Doused.
This effect is permanent unless removed by a special ability.

players will be killed. You do not visit the players killed by this effect. This kill cannot be protected from by normal means.
You win when all threats to the
Arsonist Cartel
are eliminated, and at least one member of the
Arsonist Cartel
is alive, or nothing can prevent this from happening.
Choose one of the following roles to keep and one to discard.
Role 1. New Years Card Writer, Inspired by the Dreaming God

During each night, you may send me a message to give to another player. This will be clear to be coming from a player and not moderator feedback.
This message must contain the words "New Year" within it.
Additionally, you may attach one of the following items to the message, sending both to your target. These items are one-use only.
Sparkler - At night this may be activated. Visitors to the player that activated this item during the same night receive the message "You see bright and colorful sparks."
New Year Glasses - During the night, choose another player. Assuming no interference to this action the user of this item will learn if that target has received any form of non-factional private communication with another player.
Fruit Token - During the night, choose another player. Assuming no interference to this action, that player will be informed they have received fruit.
New Year's Ball - During the day this may be activated. This will cause a New Year's celebration within the thread after a predetermined amount of time, giving the user of this item an Enchanted Fae Bauble. This item may only be given out once.

During each day phase, you may pick a word to determine how you will target during the next night phase.
The word you choose will determine who or if you target, and you will learn how your target was decided and who it was.

I agree the pirates could potentially have swung either way, and that’s not something you can really control in the design phase, and this is a bastard setup. Most importantly.
Thanks to my scumpartners. I’m sure I was a bit grumpy at points but they were very accommodating of that.
Kokichi claimed his real role, and we spent hours of our lives speculating on what his actions might do, and I still don’t know what the actions do and look forward to finding out.
Also probably just shouldn’t have given up on dayplay as early as I did.

How do you expect to find the culprit when you're all worried about each other's feelings? If you're planning to expose a liar, then you have to corner them psychologically.

Check the dead thread. They were pretty good but we were wrong about them sadly.

I like to think town had enough game presence to make the pirates townside. think we all helped creating an environment where we could benefit from each other, when I think some playerlists would make this much harder.
Mathematically the value of arsonists is increased the more people that are alive, because a correct elimination is less likely.
The exception would be if you think it would be easier to convince one of enchant/gimli over marashu/furtive.
I think Kokichi's war action turned out funny. Since the witch hadn't submitted an action there was no word chosen so no effect on that end (lowered the 3 shot to 2 shot though) and if Kitty had aimed the inverse killer at someone other than furtive it would've resolved as a kill. (Possibly even falsely outing kitty to enchant as scum from his role)
