That line was actually inspired by a game I spectated back when I first joined. The actual game was a tragedy (hence the need for Tide Pods), but the spectator PT was legendary.

this whole normal guidelines split into three separate guidelines to reduce complexity just increases the complexity i have to go through to find out what is or isn't allowed in this game

To be fair to the NRG, I don't think this was done to reduce complexity but to allow players who dislike complex games to not sign up for complex games.

I have to say I'm both disappointed in myself for having not handled the end of day properly, yet also proud because I'm cautiously optimistic. There's town loosely in the correct ballpark; I don't think they're likely to figure it out, unless a PR bails them out.

Which is an alarming possibility. We know what the setup is like PR-wise, and it's not pure mountainous.
