i don't wanna pass because passing after guessing 2 words for a 4-word clue feels embarrassing >_>
my current favourite is still web, but it could be my own bias, as about an hour before we were given the clue, i happened to be googling about the status of a webpage that wasn't loading for me
if you two feel strongly about king, submit it
I will straight up disregard all reason if you have a PR dream again. You can come back and be like, “I dreamt that Locke is a N2 Bulletproof Multitasking Cop and Self-Targeting Doctor,” and I will go, “Okay, Locke kill it is then.”
I like king better than web I think. status of a webpage is a thing but the word on the board is just web so it feels like an additional leap needs to be made to get to webpage status. whereas the word king by itself is already a status
I feel strongly about KING compared to WEB for sure - WEB falls into the "eh, maybe?" morass that INDIA / LIMOUSINE / OPERA fall into.
NOTE is the only other one that really resonates for me and isn't KING, and I'll concede there's something of a second-order connection there so won't push it.
So I guess current ranking would be ...
KING >= NOTE = (pass) >> INDIA = WEB = LIMOUSINE = OPERA > LAB > COMPOUND = ROBOT >> DUCK.
I will straight up disregard all reason if you have a PR dream again. You can come back and be like, “I dreamt that Locke is a N2 Bulletproof Multitasking Cop and Self-Targeting Doctor,” and I will go, “Okay, Locke kill it is then.”

You mean “brave” or “brevity”? We need an actual word or we’re put at a serious disadvantage.

Nancy-scum feels like a hot knife slicing through butter. Nancy-town feels like a magnifying glass in the sun glaring down at an insect.

Yes but if none of can make head or tail our of the clue, how are we supposed to be able to form a guess? I think we should get a different clue, unless one of the members of the red team understand the clue and at least 2 of us don’t even recognize “breve” as an actual word.

I know a semibreve is a type of note in music, so if you can have half a breve I would assume that a breve is also a note. This is the only context I know "breve" in.
So, Note, Opera, Round and Theatre would all fit in well with that.
But it seems weird not to use the more recognisable names like crotchet or quaver in that case
Also, what is NM doing? Worst play I’ve ever seen.
I can't remember the last N_M post that wasn't bland, unimaginative and lame. Some shitposters are at least somewhat funny. You are the epitomy of the type of poster that nobody would miss if you were to suddenly disappear. You never add anything of value.
I'm guessing you haven't read the game and probably never will? Why even sign up to play?
But @NM what does “breve” mean exactly? I know some specific music terms. Is breve similar to stacotto(sp?) for example?

I don't know specifics but I think it's a length of how long to play a note, e.g. there are two crotchets in a quaver, two semibreves in a breve. Staccato is a style of playing

, Pool? Lab? Battery was also suggested
Breve (3)- Note?, Opera?, Round? Theatre?

I'm afraid to say, if the spymaster gives a clue that nobody understands then that's unfortunate and a risk the spymaster has taken when giving a difficult clue.
If not then the spymaster could give a super obscure clue that relates perfectly to the words needed with the knowledge that if nobody knows it then they'd be able to google it.

"Breve" means "short" and does indeed have a musical sense as well as a specific length to play a note. I unfortunately forget which, though.
I would go note > opera myself. After that, I'm open to discussing whether we should try to guess the third breve word or try to get the two remaining heating words.
