Hey, I'm looking forward to playing with everyone. yadda yadda, I'm on the last day of my vacation and doing an 18 hour drive tomorrow so I'm going to semi active and then I'm going to be not at all active and then I'm going to be active.
Jumping right in, can you give me the full walk through here because I'm trying to see what you're talking about and I'm not.
In post 172, Loopdan wrote:Child knew TTTT was my alt at least four hours before he posted 168, which means he had read post 137. But when he was typing 168 he somehow hadn't read 129 on the same page as 137.

clemency - town lean. My thinking meshed with his when reading through his interaction with loopdan about the self vote. Nothing I would take to the bank. i did a paper on estonia once upon a time and that might be biasing me here. It seems like a nice country.
child - lemme wait on this until loopdan explains his insight a little better.
dici - I see what ya'll have been talking about and I believe that for some people their openings can be very AI. also the naked vote.. it's a scummy start, no way around it. Could be lynch bait. Dici, if you're town, then I think you're probably struggling to get into this game. I suggest that you talk about your reads, arguments people have made, votes, or really anything at all.
Child came into the game and immediately said hi TTTT (one of my alts). Teacher is like how'd you know that so quick have you been following the game? Child is like yeah bro I skimmed it. Then 4 hours later Child posts a play-by-play of the game which shows him developing his reads, and replying to other's posts, and not realizing what I was doing with the L-1 self-vote... until he gets to a post on page 6 where I explained it, and he's like damn bro you got me! But I had mentioned I was TTTT a couple posts above that post on page 6, so if he's already read that page why is he acting like he is developing these reads in his play-by-play.
In other words it looks fake.
Thanks for explaining! I thought you had caught him pretending not to know your alts after knowing his alts, or something.
Yeah, you're right it's fake. Child's explanation is consistent with his post 169, and I think his explanation is probably the truth. I'm not sure it's AI by itself. I could see those entrance posts coming from either alignment.
Actually, that's not quite right. I can definitely see town making Child's opening posts. I think scum!child could also make those posts, but I think is probably less likely to do so over all. Perversely, I think this is slightly town indicative.
p.edit
@teacher you could be right about 169. I'll think on it some more. It would have been a pretty egregious slip if Child wrote 168 while forgetting his skim claim

I'm town reading elg and teacher. loopdan, not so much. I don't know your personality, loopdan, but that early self-vote like its cousin the scum-claim has to come more often from scum than town, right?
either way, this wagon is pretty dope.
if dici is scum, i think this wagon is 100% town
if dici is town, i think there is at most 1 scum on this wagon rn and that maybe-scum is loop

This and the rest of your commentary on dici reads really scummy to me.
If dici flips red, this looks like the partner
Amzela in this post: I really scum read him, too, but he's probably just newb!town but I really want to hammer him because I'm bad at reading people.

Yeah I'm good with that for the moment.
This game makes sense to me as one where a bunch of town are playing together and scum are being pretty passive.
I think amzela has a pretty good shot at flipping red, and I think the other scum or scums are probably within {flippy, dici, child}
I hate being so vague but the whole flow of the game just feels like towns interacting with towns.
clem + loop's back and forth
people working together to l-1 dici, and then two townie "guys let's slow down" cold feet moments
consensus town bloc being formed
obviously prone to re evaluation but i'm really liking this game narrative atm

@teacher you're a regular sherlock holmes with your investigation this game
VOTE: dici
teacher hasn't voted here yet but has indicated a preference. Teacher is playing his heart out this game. for the most part I agree with his thinking, and i'm going to support him. It's not quite follow the cop, but im sticking with the blood hound interrogator for the moment
I'm a bit hesitant on the clemency clear because it stems from the reasoning, "if my town reads are correct, then clemency is also town." Obviously this can lead to the total failure where you have town binned both scum through this thinking. It's fine for day one, but later days this assumption should be one of the first to be challenged. I guess this is more a reminder to myself than anything else since im sure teacher knows this stuff.

Truuue, which is unfortunate because I think this might be an ideal day length for us as a town. Game sense says that right about now is when we start picking apart our town reads over little things while scum lurks/is replaced

well, amz is town so vote has to go somewhere.
I was going to say that obviously i'd prefer to get a replacement and talk with em etc before a lynch but I think I'm actually just good with this lynch right now.

intent to hammer; child please claim in your next post. i'll give you as much time as you want to talk, so let's see what you can bring to the game
town circle = teacher, egl, clem
most likely scum: child
second most likely scum: emp
third most likely scum: Amz because i read her interaction with teacher as really town but i also read her interaction with dici slot as really scummy (called it out at the time, go see what you think) and this is negating my town read for the most part
In post 411, teacher wrote:I think there is a lot more info to be gleaned out of the NK as well as the flip. But I want to call upon @Child ..... I can share my thoughts after that.
@URAP2, I'd rather have my NKA out in case I die tonight, and Id rather wait to publish mine at least until Child gets prodded. So I am going to gum up the works a bit today. Sorry (not sorry).
you should write your nka with the assumption that child is town because this is today's lynch if he doesn't come back

In post 247, EGL wrote:@Amzela It doesn't really help anyone if you're constantly defending him. It doesn't help him start playing, because he doesn't have to speak for himself. It doesn't help the town, because he's not talking so we can't get a read on him. To be honest, it just looks like a scum buddying up to a townie. And the very fact that you said you're voting him to "clear (your) name" does the opposite. And with two votes on you, you put him back to L-1.
Do you feel that newbie games are also supposed to help newbies learn how to play? Would there have been a lesson for him to help him in future games had Clem hammered?
@teacher oooh you might be really on to something. my emphasis
