I find it unlikely that players would admit to liking to play scum. Being a dangerous scum player would increase the likelyhood of being lynched on that basis alone.

Also, why the townlean for DoubtingThomas specifically? Do you feel he is more eager to solve the game than everyone else who has posted so far?
at that point, yes

"Let's wagon the IC" has similar meaning to "Let's lynch the IC" which implies that you want at least one more person after you to lynch the IC which would put them in L-1.
VOTE: xwing
(Also, one more question, if you think that was reachy why didn't you vote me or try to apply pressure. you've just seen something that you deem as scummy. are you going to let it get away!!)
wagoning does not equate to lynch..did i say that anywhere or are you purposely misrepping me?
i said it was reachy, i didnt say it was scummy..what kind of cases do you expect by page 2?

i think this is a case to case basis, i know people who will outright say they enjoy playing scum..but that's not alignment indicative (NAI) at all..i prefer playing VT as well..
Show me the last player in a completed game to say that.

@Tall1s: Who do you think is scummy and why? Who do you think is towny?Kind of early so we know you don't have lots to go on but early feelings count too.

Town tactics:
Scumhunting: Trying to figure out who the scum are through questions and reasoning.
Townhunting: Trying to figure out who the town are through questions and reasoning.
Wagoning: Voting on someone who someone else has voted on to get closer to a lynch.
Counterwagoning: Starting a new wagon different than one that's already formed.
Tunneling: Focusing on just one person to lynch and not looking at other potential scum.
Walling: Posting a very large posts with different quotes to show your logic someone is scum.
Scum tactics:
WIFOM: Wine in front of me. Asking the "what would scum do in this situation" question when scum may be dileberatly trying to avoid looking like scum.
OMGUS: Voting for someone for retalitory reasons only.
Bussing/Distancing: Attacking your scumbuddy to look town.
Whiteknighting: Praising town players to look town yourself.
There's lots of other strategies but those are some basics.

@yellow:
okay..but we do have SEs who can help out with this as well..so that shouldn't be so concerning? besides, day1 lasts like 10 days so the IC can dish out a lot of info by then, dont you think?
Maybe I just consider myself a reasonably nice guy. The IC is doing the game a favor, I think I can do him a favor by not lyching him the first sign of trouble.

For the record I think it's possible there may be scum on Roo's wagon. It's not me, but if had to guess I'd say l84 or Saint based on wagon position. I still think Roo is more likely scum than either though.
excerpt from DT's post 186:
I am a pretty good wolf. Compared to my town game, I am a really good wolf. I have a pretty good win record as wolf (6-2? ish) and I have almost never been mislynched as a wolf (although I have been n1 vigged by towns two times by people who know my meta well)

Brass said something similar about not liking to take a lot of time reading/casing in the last game i played with him so I am actually leaning town for him.

[Quote="brassherald"]My time is valuable, I'm not getting any of the time I spend building a case and then getting lolhammered by scum back before I die. I don't understand why more people don't value their own time the way I do.[/vote]
Since I saw this in two different games I'm going to assume that it is genuine and not faked.

I'm being scumread because I'm busy and don't have the same amount of time everyone else has evidently. Also I was signed up for a game I didn't intend to sign up for.

hearthstone1235 - town, feel like he is actively sorting
YellowSnow - I know I'm town
L84Dnr - Scum for his spot on the Roo wagon and immediately voting me instead of asking questions.
DoubtingThomas - Looks town although he could be using large posts as a scum tactic.
Roo - Scum for active lurking and not really sorting.
SaintAngelDFE - null
volxen - started a little scummy but looks more towny now.
xwing - looks like he is sorting and town
brassherald - Took some flack but looks town based on a previous game I played with him.

So evidently anything that you declare "standard practice" isn't scummy. That's not much of an answer. You seem like a very reactive player and that oozes scum. You're not actively sorting just trying to blend in with others who are sorting.

The difference is I am actually isoing you. You voted me without any intention of wanting to sort me. Also my mind is not made up and I am talking to you right now. Also I am not trying to misrep you.

I did, iso me and you can see where I said you misrepped me.
You're focusing on selective posts you think will incriminate me rather than looking at my whole body of work because you know you're scum and I'm town.

In this case I disagree on a lynch being better than a no lynch. I think we are narrowing down who the scum are and can afford one no lynch and I can be a valuable player.
