Ask me any question you want to, about abbreviations, voting, lynching, anything.
VOTE: fykus
It's evening for me!
Hi, what do you think of the game so far?In post 20, JackChaos wrote:Hello all it's lovely to meet you. Im totally new.
answer my question, fykus. In post 27, TierShift wrote:Why do you feel the need to return a vote? Do you think I'm more likely scum for voting you?
Newbie games have only nighttalk. In post 29, Formerfish wrote:@MOD- I didn't see anywhere in the OP about scum daytalk. Is no daytalk standard for newbie games?
It usually ends up being around end of day, but can be earlier. In post 110, Fykus wrote:UNVOTE: TierShift
Undoing my vote on TS for now, just because some coherent arguments for some other people here are starting to appear. I'll withhold my vote for now.
Also as a question to the experienced players here - generally when does a lynch end up being decided? Do people tend to jump on the bandwagon right at the end of the day or can people just stacks on someone half way through and cut the day short?
Which argument in particular is good?In post 113, Fykus wrote:I unvoted you since people are making good arguments for other people.
We talk about this post-game. I have pretty good knowledge of statistics and I'm very much disagreeing with you here.In post 170, Toto wrote:Nope. I studied the raw data used for those statistics and they are BS. So unless you guys have a case we are not.In post 167, Pepchoninga wrote:Ding ding dong, brilliant idea.In post 130, Formerfish wrote:I kinda want to hang one of the replacements simply for the fact that more often than not replace outs in newbie games are scum.
Why exactly is it scummy to call yourself town? Why would it be less scummy if others did it as well?In post 131, MooginSoosy wrote:Formerfish I think it's odd that you've aligned yourself serveral times now as town. I feel like it's suspicious to say that you're town especially when no one else has said it so openly. Do you feel like you need to make that clarification?
Okay, so who is most likely mafia? Put your vote where your mouth is.In post 141, JackChaos wrote:Okay... form reads. Moogin seems a newbie like me so mostly harmless ALTHOUGH THAT COULD be a total bluff and one of us could murder your granny with a hammer.
Formerfish seems really aggressive but I'm guessing he's just a grizzled veteran of forums mafia. He's probably a townie.
Fykus is super friendly so I'm going to have to assume he's a total serial killer irl maybe in game as well. Tiershift is a scholar and a gentleman. Nydushermain I don't know what to think. I rather like the pink checkered avatar but that's about all I know of them. Pep seems like he wants a fair game so probably a mafia member. Toto is quiet.
Why would I hammer questions as you as scum? Why would I be more likely to do it as scum than as town?In post 155, Fykus wrote:Ah, that makes sense. I can see why you're making the assumption about me then. Honestly though, i still think TS might be scum with the way hes constantly hammering questions at me. Unless ofcourse hes just trying to get it into my muscle memory to explain myself better when making accusations (thus making me a better player someday or something).
Who knows~
This is not how it works. This might be true for the day 1 lynch. But afterwards we will have information to work with, who joined what wagon, etc. We can afterwards deduce who is scum. That is why we all put forth arguments for who we think is scum. Because scum also have to put forth these arguments then, and they might slip up.In post 184, JackChaos wrote:It seems to me like this game is built on paranoia and paranoia leads to bad judgement. We'd be better on random lynching first round and seeing how everyone reacts after.
That's just my two cents in gamerlogic.
In our previous game you seemed like you wanted to work with everyone. In this game, you act like you know it all without interacting a whole lot.In post 206, Toto wrote:
I don't know what a complacent tone isIn post 205, Formerfish wrote:Toto, I'll put this here too since I don't remember seeing a reply to it. Guess that means that Tier is my partner, right? Cause they aren't pressuring you to answer that question. In post 178, TierShift wrote:Toto what's up with that complacent tone? Why are you acting like this?
I'm wondering if this is a serious case or just trying to probeIn post 199, Toto wrote:While Fish attacks Jin for not voting in RVS he doesn't say anything about Fykus, who is also not voting RVS. At the same time he questions me for RVS voting Moogin instead of any of pre-existing wagons. Why ask that question if he feels RVS voting is what people should be doing? He is not being consistent in his line of questioning and thoughts.
Now he asks me how accurate my day 1 reads are. Why would you ask that question as TOWN? IT MAKES NO SENSE. Seriously, if we don't lynch this guy after asking this question I don't know what else to tell you.
Town, and no. I'm just asking him where the difference comes from, so I might be able to better understand him.In post 223, Formerfish wrote:What was his alignment in the previous game? Do you think his behavior this game is alignment indicative?
Toto fking drop it for today tyvmIn post 237, Toto wrote:Because if he really is a PR we can tell whether he is telling the truth or not in newbies set up immediatelly. Im basically asking him to prove Im wrong about him being scum but he doesn't want to do it.
Im fine dropping this for today but if this scumfuck is alive tomorrow he better claims immediatelly in d2.
I see you mentioning that I distrust toto but I'm not particularly scumreading him. I just think he's being stupid. That's why I'm diverting attention away. Because I think the attack is stupid. In post 274, nydushermain wrote:Like why is fykus a better lynch than someone who is role fishing, even after constant warnings from the IC and other people explaining to him why what he is doing is bad? Why are you trying to work with someone who you think is potential scum as you mentioned in prior posts? In post 260, TierShift wrote:We can lynch fykus if you want?
Why notIn post 288, nydushermain wrote:Lynchable but not on my radar as scum.In post 286, TierShift wrote:Ny, read on fykus?
His attack made no sense to me. I didn't like it, but I don't feel it makes him scum. A different tone also doesn't make him scum. Tones change over games. Mine does too. I was just wondering why it was changing. In post 289, nydushermain wrote:But do you think he's town? You're saying you're "on his rolefishing side" as if you're town reading him but you're saying you distrust him? If you were townreading him, why did you say things like "I wonder if this is just dumb attack or role fishing" (paraphrased to memory), or asking him why he was playing complacent which is, in your words, different from his previous game where he was town?
1 prollyIn post 298, Toto wrote:Ok. Im at l-1. One more vote and Im lynched. Tier how many scum do you think are in my wagon?
Dunno, have to reread. In post 363, nydushermain wrote:If he's town, who do you think it is?In post 361, TierShift wrote:1 prollyIn post 298, Toto wrote:Ok. Im at l-1. One more vote and Im lynched. Tier how many scum do you think are in my wagon?
Why does being over the top make him scum, jack?In post 384, JackChaos wrote:Okay, caught up. Toto is so over the top I kind of think he's scum.
Can you respond to this, pep?In post 377, Toto wrote:Frame fish? How?In post 369, Pepchoninga wrote:It was clear thwt he wanted to frame fish tho.In post 366, TierShift wrote:It's town I think.
Rolefishing so blatantly is something scum don't do because it makes them a likely lynch target, especially in a newbie game. Town are more indifferent towards getting lynched and will just do whatever they THINK is the correct play.
You can start by actually hunting scum if you'd like?In post 417, MooginSoosy wrote:I promise I'm not scum I'm just very very bad at playing this game. (This statement sounds suspicious but it's the truth so I'll go with it since I don't know how else to word it)
Is there anything I can clear up or any questions I can answer that will help?
ExactlyIn post 418, MooginSoosy wrote:Also what does sheep mean? Just following you in voting for me?
I liked the RC's post and reread moogin. In post 424, nydushermain wrote:What. You went on moogin in an earlier post, then took pressure off of moogin to get the toto slot out of hot water to vote fykus? Then you're saying to go back on moogin? VOTE: moogin
Can people who townread me please sheep tyvm
Moogin was not that much of a scumread. I just wanted to divert the attention away from the fruitless FF-toto battle to some of the newbies that were failing to participate. In post 462, nydushermain wrote:What made you vote initially on moogin and then ask toto if he wanted to lynch fykus and then swap to fykus? Did you forget that moogin was a scumread?
Haha don't worry I've grilled players who were unable to post for medical reasons before. I'm still exactly as likely scum as before the incident. (this is assuming you made a post grilling me cos I haven't actually read)
Who do you expect to see you as obvtown? The newbies? Me? Formerfish? In post 484, RadiantCowbells wrote:Also yes my slot is obvtown and I say that as the poster child of hyper aggressive scum play making scum intent. Toto could not and would not have pulled that off as scum and it shouldn't take a genius to figure that out.
Sure, but if you don't actually expect anyone in this game to realise that, it's a bit silly to call yourself obvtown, isn't it?In post 525, RadiantCowbells wrote:I'm saying that any objective third party should have known that Toto was town. I will link you the correspondence between me and the mod before I had seen my role PM in postgame.
What the f are you talking about? That's shit.In post 619, -Grey- wrote:Another scumtell for Jack: He's dead certain that he caught both scum on d1.
There's zero doubt in his posts. He's invested in selling his reads as being above reproach.
This is much more likely to come from newbscum with an agenda to push, because they naturally don't have any doubts. Newbtown is full of doubt and uncertainty.
