What part about it exactly confuses you? I mean, you seemed to deal with it fine in the last game. Any particular questions?-

Oh, that! Alrighty...
First off, every Pokemon starts with 100 Energy. Then, you subtract the winning bid. So, for example, let's say that I had the highest bid on Charizard with 20. 100-20=80. Then, add 1/10 of their total base stats as you can find them on Bulbapedia. For Charizard, his total base stats is 534. So 1/10 of that is about 53. Add that to the total you already had after subtracting the bid. 80+53=133. And there you have it! 133 would be the energy that my Charizard starts with at the beginning of the game!
Now, if instead I had won Charizard with a bid of 1, it would have a starting energy of 100-1+53=152!
If you still don't understand exactly how that works, after the bidding stage, you can just post a table of who bid what on which Pokemon and I'll calculate their starting energy (and I'll show calculations so you know I'm not cheating).-

Yup. The formula is: 100 - Winning Bid + 1/10(Total Base Stats)
