because massclaim. ico has been softing loyal mailman for a while. he knows that i've noticed it, and he's signaled it back to me that he's noticed my noticing. if he came here today claiming "just" mailman, it's an almost insta-vote from me. and it's not a nice 1v1 to end up in.

sidenote, something like that is similar to what's happened in the last game ico was scum against me - i saw what i thought were mason softs, i backed off of him because mason softs, and i mentioned that if the day's yeet flipped tpr, ico is probably scum (because no room for masons, but i didn't say that part). the day's yeet did flip tpr, and... he promptly killed me that night, with nobody else seeing those softs.

that is why i've been extremely jumpy about massclaiming *while i am alive*, bc i assumed me and luca were the only ones to see the loyal mailman softs, and luca is kinda dead. i figured scum!ico could get away with claiming ~just mailman~ if i'm dead, which is why i tried to drop as many hints to *loyal* as possible, in hopes that if the evil dragon does kill me, town maybe actually figures out what i was talking about.

and, from town!ico pov, he's a pr. and he knows i know he's a pr. which means i probably wouldn't have let him live for very long if *i* were scum. arguably, because rathe is dead and he's now just a vt with a fancy name, any "i would have killed ico here because i knew he was pr!!" argument from me is kinda bland, and possibly untrue, but anyway.

which brings onto the second problem of... traffic analyst + loyal mailman in game is a lot of power. arguably too much. i don't know, i have a bad habit of incorrectly locking people's alignments based on my faulty mech assumptions. anyway, after anya flipped ta, i was deadset on this being a repeat of that last game, on ico being a scum mailman (a "claimable miller" to the traffic analyst, idk it made sense to me in those moments of panic), and me being about to get brutally murdered *again*, because surely he's not gonna try to actually claim loyal mailman with a flipped traffic analyst, so gotta get rid of the only alive person that saw what he was softing. ...except i then didn't die. twice. and he still claimed loyal mailman. so like idek anymore what the fuck is happening. this was what my "surely scumconeum kills me here?" shtick was about.

like, this feels like a path of more resistance for scum!ico. he could've just killed me way way earlier and not have claimed this claim that puts the spotlight on him because "loyal mailman + traffic analyst + whatever else we have flipped????". but is this scum!ico taking sick pleasure in taking me to lylo after that one game where i did the same to him? i don't know. i don't want to think it is.

was pretty set on getting the anya flip either way, my claiming at that point just gets me killed before massclaim
