I can imagine Spiffeh & Gork as a scum team.

I'll have to give that more thought.

@BrightEyedFish SirCakez probably. I kinda feel his disappearance from the thread after all this pressure works against him in this case because town!him should know that early wagons are generally for pressure and will probably be temporary. In this setup scum have A LOT more to lose being thrust into the spotlight so early in the way SirCakez has so I imagine his general “this is unfair” attitude is more likely to come from scum.

There’s another reason too but he promised to post today so I want to see that before mentioning it.

His anger toward bowing out feels genuine to me. I do somewhat lean toward it being town-indicative because frankly, it's not the presumptive HOW DARE YOU of caught scum, but more the "oh fuck this" exasperation.

I just don't think Cakez is scum in this exchange.

first off I'm voting Cogito b/c I'm pretty sure scum are hiding in the margins this game and Cogito is pretty much the most in the margins you can get. Just four posts and they're basically getting no attention from anyone except Fish and I. Don't think I explained that before.
Also I decided I'm not responding to the Gork wall because it will just make me angry again and I am pretty sure it will not change anybody's mind about me. Especially not Gork.

Is there a reason that you picked Cogito at the time over BBmolla or UT? What set him apart?

Because I expect this kind of play from those two. That said I haven't ruled them out.
I admittedly don't know Cogito so somebody with meta experience with them could correct me here.

ces is pretty par for the course for this game in terms of my experience with him.
not to say hes town, but that hes someone that is basically impossible to read through play alone early on.
guy is succinct and smart.

can look at the 3rd fortnight for a reference point for a direct reference to his townplay in this setting.

@Cake I guess your characterization of Cogito’s play can apply now but at the time you voted him it was like 9ish hours into the game and I don’t think lack of content at that point is all that egregious.

What are some of your other reads?

Fighting w/Gork was not fun so not having to do more of that was nice. And the personalities in this game are just entertaining to watch.

Why keep these secret but say you have them? It accomplishes nothing.

I do want to address this.
Gork was posting that his scumread of me was so sure that he literally wouldn't even think of me flipping town. Not just a "pressure wagon".
Also here we are two days later and the wagon has only gone up. sooo
Also I was working all day yesterday so it was more convenient to delay my return until my day off today.

Cogito was a good amount more active in Third Fortnight from a quick ISO. 13 posts by where we are now in that game vs 4 here. Also his posts there were a lot more engaged.

I think pretty much all of the active players are town (Errant, xyzzy, shoshin, Gork, you, kuribo, Fish) and I don't think I'd reeval this until a while later. Notable exception to this is Fire who remains an unreadable tossup.
The people from somewhat active to doing nothing (Katsuki, Ram, the four I mentioned already, Marquis) are where I think the scum are lurking. I really need more posts from all of these people still.
