(to determine alignment, reroll; you have the same alignment as the reroll, but no other aspects of it)
For as long as you are alive, the following rule is (secretly) in effect:
-For as long as you are alive, all roles that can freely change their abilities have fixed powers. If they need to use their role to get any abilities, the first ability they select is what they have until this rule is removed.
Apart from that, you’re just a normal member of your faction.<Embrace The Void>

Target a player each night, if their role could not exist in a normal, it is changed to do so, either by modifying the existing role or randomly selecting a new one. If they target is part of a groupscum faction that is not Mafia/Werewolves, it becomes one, chosen by whichever currently existing faction has less members. If the target is any sort of third party alignment, they become a Serial Killer.<Embrace The Void>

Calamity Witch
This role starts with a 1-Shot Bulletproof, but loses it after its power triggers. Anytime after an amount of full game cycles predetermined by the mod have passed, you invoke “RAW, UNFILTERED CALAMITY”. In this state, killing actions have a 50% chance of being Strongman, and all non-killing actions will have a 10% chance to fail. All non-killing actions on you also have an additional 10% chance to be redirected elsewhere. Any users of non-killing actions affected by this roles abilities will be informed of some tampering. In addition if no other kills would happen, you have a Compulsive kill that you triggers at the end of each night phase but may be set to target a player at any time. If there is no current valid target the action is randomized. The target always dies, regardless of any and all roles that would change that fact. Finally during this state all roles that may or may not end the game immediately when they win (Jester, Lyncher, Unjester, etc.) are required to end the game when they win. If this state is active for an amount of time predetermined by the mod (which should generally match the time until this state starts), it advances to “STAINED, BRUTAL CALAMITY”. In this state killing actions become able to succeed through anything 50% of the time, including Commuting type actions. The failure rate of all non-killing actions becomes 20%, with an addition 5% chance to fail and 25% chance to be redirected if directed at you. In if the conditions for your Compulsive kill are met, you may use it even while dead. All other effects remain the same.
WIN CONDITIONS:
>All other players die (does not need to live to win this way)
>“STAINED, BRUTAL CALAMITY” runs for the amount of time “RAW, UNFILTERED CALAMITY” ran for
A third party that ends the game on a win (Jester, Lyncher, Unjester, etc.) wins
LOSS CONDITIONS:
>Player dies before “RAW, UNFILTERED CALAMITY” is triggered
>Player is dead and the game is set to end before the second Win Condition is met
Extra note: any Serial Killers in the game should be informed this role exists.
Role is inspired by lore content from Terraria’s Calamity mod, but may or may not be comparable to actual gameplay content within the mod, as the core exposure I have to it is through its OST.
This role should generally be reserved for larger games. The time periods for the state advancement should be designed so it would be able to achieve it’s second win condition around the time it could achieve the first. The third win condition exists so it doesn’t lose to its own power incidentally. While it’s first win condition resembles Serial Killer win condition, if any state triggered by this role is active, all Serial Killers will lose if they and this role would win at the same time. This is why SKs are informed of this role, as it provides them a warning that their ability to win is jeopardized.<Embrace The Void>

Role: Miraculous Rolecard! If you get one of these you may select your alignment and role at will, provided it doesn’t violate the rules of the specific iteration of Grand Idea that is being run (if Town Traitor is disallowed by a rule, it cannot be selected with this ability).
If this is rolled on both cards in Grander Idea, or two cards in Grandest, you gain a boon that helps your selected alignment, either at player choice or at random, as the mod decides.
Town: D3 IC, One-Shot Double-Day Enabler, Virgin
Mafia/other group scum (except Aliens): factional One-Shot Strongman, Single-Night triple Roleblocker, Godfather/Death Miller modifier on this player’s choice
Serial Killer: universal investigative immunity, One-Shot Bulletproof, guaranteed kills on non-town players
Aliens: Psychotrooper, Bloodsucker, Parrot
Non-Serial Killer third party: One-Shot Deathproof, Nightkill Redirector, Limited-Time Sympathizer (has until Night 3 ends to become a Sympathizer for town or any groupscum faction. Is informed of all groupscum factions in the game as such)
If this is rolled for all three cards in Grandest Idea Mafia, this player automatically wins and all other players who failed to meet this condition lose.
Bonuses for rolling this multiple times only apply if the copies were rolled in the same roll. Rerolling to get this card when this card was already in a non-rerolled slot will not give a bonus. Bonuses are not locked to the start of the game, and can be obtained at any time as long as the format allows for it. Bonuses can only be obtained in the versions listed. Any cards that roll for multiple cards for one card slot (such as Double Roler) cannot select this unless it is selected on every roll generated by that card. This role can never be selected by a method with no element of randomness.
Inspired by Mario Party 5’s Miracle Capsules. I may add/modify rules/abilities in the future. To prevent hassle regarding this all future incarnations of this role should have a link to this original version, rather than have the rules written out again.Last edited by Gamma Emerald on Thu Sep 03, 2020 4:46 pm, edited 1 time in total.<Embrace The Void>

Wins if any other alignment would meet its win condition regardless of this role’s presence. If this happens on an odd-numbered day or night all other players who would win end up losing.

Once in the game during Night, you may investigate a player to see their true role card, including mod notes and stuff the moderator has hidden from the player. Furthermore, you will learn the exact post(s) the player's role and alignment come(s) from.
It's meant to be the counterpart to Rigged Dice Buster (fair dice meaning dice with equal probability to land on each face), only allowing semi-random picks would make it not a counterpart but a strange variant and I'd have to rename the role to something like Weighted Dice Role. I'd rather change the role to some other strong role card like a Town 1-shot Universal Cop.In post 8498, Gamma Emerald wrote:

All killing actions in the game are randomized at their inception within the game to be Fire or Ice while you are alive. Ninjas and Pirates must be opposite.
I think Trees should have some sort of extra clause around Ice kills tbh. Maybe it works as a cold snap that kills the tree?In post 8506, Farren wrote:Mafia Tree

Nice Guy
Starts as town aligned. May make a business proposal with any player at any time, and can have up to three active proposals; if the player wants to make more, they must withdraw a proposal that was already made. The player can also withdraw a proposal at any time without making another. If a player given a proposal accepts it, it becomes a partnership for the day, and no more proposals can be accepted, clearing all active proposals.
Business proposals/partnerships work like this: both players must be voting the same person, and that person must be the person eliminated at the end of the day, or whenever the current vote goes through if there is to be another elimination vote after the current one. The partnership expires once the night phase starts. If this condition is met, both the Nice Guy and business partner get a one shot ability, determined by the amount of times a successful partnership has occurred (1st success = tracker shot, 2nd success = jailkeeper shot, 3rd+ success = vigilante shot).
If any role tries to recruit this role, it transforms into theNot-So-Nice Guy, immediately killing the role that tried to recruit it, and becoming a groupscum faction with all players it had successful partnerships with that are still alive, with revived players who had successful partnerships with this role instantly converting to its group upon revival. Within this groupscum faction, there is a factional killing action that only the Not-So-Nice Guy can use. If the Not-So-Nice guy dies, the faction still persists with no killing action unless all players within it privately opt to disband the faction. This results in all players returning to their previous alignment.

If there is a role with the ability to convert players that get revived in some way (like a Cult Necromancer or the Not-So-Nice Guy) this role will convert to that alignment if it is revived by any method.
if cult necromancer isn't the thing that revives players that are dead and converts them to cult in the same action lmk. Also, the Not-So-Nice Guy takes priority over any other effect, then if multiple other effects that count are around, randomize which one occurs<Embrace The Void>

secret duck incantation
If the current iteration of Grand Idea Mafia is not a Grandest Idea game, this role is rerolled and does nothing. If it is, initiate a global reroll, but the player gets to select a number of post numbers in the thread equal to the number of players in the game, which becomes one-third of the options provided to every player. The player has no say in which post number corresponds to which player.
inspired by my Grandest Idea iteration called "worst idea mafia"<Embrace The Void>

Rigged Dice Buster
Cannot ever be selected by a non-random method. This includes ways to affect randomization weight, like GPick. Roles with this name do not count as duplicates unless they have the same role.
Role: Bulletproof Serial Killer
going to stipulate that when it comes to evaluating whether these cards are duplicates, you always use the Role listed within the body text. So a standard Vanilla Townie is counted as a duplicate of a Rigged Dice Buster or Fair Dice Buster that has Vanilla Townie as the role specified in the body text.<Embrace The Void>

Anti-Bulletproof Serial Killer
This role can never be Bulletproof by any means.
