oh that's a good logical post, this'll be a fun game. was getting really tired of having to read through walls of fluff in other ones.

So, reading this, I'm interpreting this as a deflection, because you didn't actually respond to my question about what you meant by him being "fine." I'd like you to simply explain what you meant instead of not actually answering me.

Just so we're on the same page, I was responding to you saying that I had taken something personally, where nothing of the sort was in any of my prior four posts. When you ascribe things to me in your opinion that didn't actually happen, it does make me stop and question why you would add things that weren't there.

As I see it, I saw it more as being concerned that someone had 3 votes on page 1, and that Scum tend to be more concerned with self-preservation. 3 votes for the same person on page 1 isn't uncommon, and I don't think it's worth worrying about an immediate lynch at the very start of the game over that. The apparent concern (at least as I saw it) worried me a bit more, because it smelt a bit like trying to protect someone else.

Monkey's eagerness to control the game feels scum-motivated. And this is only exacerbated by the fact that they have really gone hard on the proverbial low hanging fruit.

The lining up of lynches is also always something I am watchful of. In both cases, if owl is town, monkey is just being negligent if town, and if owl is scum it's a very aggressive theater strat. The common thread being that monkey lining up lynches is poo poo.

I like Espeonage so far for being town. I've had that thought before of scum doing the lining up thing.

A loose summary of my thoughts:

Dunnstral’s posts about Drew seemed pretty weird, especially how Dunnstral defended Drew from Quiet Owl. He didn’t properly engage with Quiet Owl’s point about Drew. Then the way he said “maybe we should hold off on voting Drew” because of Peregrine’s defense of Drew also felt weird and not really genuine.

Speaking of posts that didn’t feel genuine, basically nothing HEM has posted has seemed genuine at all and I how it seems like HEM is trying to establish control over the thread.

STD is an odd slot, his questioning of Dunnstral pinged me as town but nothing else really stood out to me as towny.

Espeonage pinged me as very towny and if I had replaced into some other slot then he would be my top townread. I mindmelded with him on a few occasions. So sue me

Sheep is probably my strongest townread, I liked the way he waffled around his read of Espeonage(?, I forgot who ), it seemed genuine. The one reservation I have is that sheep seems like a player who is always able to sound genuine but I’ll worry about that later.

I think the problem with Hu Tao’s catch-up is that *all* she did in said catchup was defend herself rather than actually provide decent reads. She tried to cover for that by saying “oh, nothing happened in those past few pages” which just struck me as weird.

Owl has been towny. I liked their case of HEM and Drew. Not much else to say here.

Similar story for bob.

Drew has been passive, not really in a town or scum way. I don’t scumread him individually but I thought that Dunnstral’s interaction with him could be s/s.

I have not properly read Nurse’s or Peregrine’s posts.

I know this is a lot of scumreads and some less confident townreads. I’ll live! And I’ll (hopefully) get a better read on Nurse/Peregrine.

And how did that inherent bias develop, I wonder?

Could it be because when he plays he doesn't give a damn about actually solving as Town? After a while you gain a reputation doing that.
