I feel like stylistically what he's doing (this is hard to put my finger on and recount you, but it' a casual style of posting that I've seen before) is harder to do as town than as scum. I also like #124. Seems like he doesn't feel under any pressure to be performative.
Early reads are hard to form and harder still with people I don't know well though. Plus it seems like there's a bunch of experienced folks here so I'm probably also liable to get owned by making too many assumptions.-

As best I can tell, almost nobody has done anything that's worth hanging reads off of. I am watching Impo with interest, but don't really have a bead on her alignment as yet. The activity is nice though. In post 136, Alisae wrote:no he can fake his posting style as scum I'm pretty sure.

Jumping straight into things early felt like it could have been eager town, or scum overperforming to generate a good first impression. I don't know which, but I figure it'll all shake out as things progress.-

I actually kind of like this. I think that shooting for me (as an actual wagon canditate rather than as pressure) is not a very opportunistic thing to do. Seems driven by genuine thoughts about me, however tentative they might be.

Does anyone on yesterday's lynchwagon really count as having pulled a mislynch when it happened half by accident? In post 1516, Trivium wrote:Alright, the way I see it, we're lynching in a pool of darklyn, gerry, or dunn. Now I'd rather not, but I townread jaereed's slot (even further, I know) for switching like that, it seemed pretty genuine to me. I prefer darklyn, he pulled an easy mislynch and looks scummy as all hell, that or bad town. And I don't think darklyn is bad town.-

At present I don't think I want to vote him today though. More and more I feel like my anti-Darklyn sentiments were misguided. ISO really parses pretty townlike right now. Also even if I was into a Darklyn lynch I'd want him to post today first before going ahead with it.-

Every journey's gotta start with a step. I wanted to put some extra pressure on him and see what happened. I think in general it is helpful to be willing to participate in pressuring players. Turns out it's been informative, although maybe in a bad way for us.In post 1605, Dunnstral wrote:

Damn I must have read over post 1580 without noticing it somehow. First of all, reaction tests are a common fallback for scum when things go wrong. Second of all, even I figured the vote was a sort of joke, and didn't pay much attention to it, but then Juri gets asked about it and falls back on the idea that the vote's a reaction test? Look like making up reasoning that supports his actions. In post 1580, Juri wrote:Well I guess if I'm gonna do stuff for reactions I gotta wear it when it goes wrong.
I like this claim even less than I liked Dunn's one. I'm really not sure why we feel the need to flop claims out D1.
Maybe this is a meta thing I'm improperly adjusted to
If I'm likely to be flipping shortly then I want you guys to remember that Dunnstral and Triv are super super town okay-

I was just openly considering the slot along with a few others, and Dunnstral basically said the only acceptable vote in my pool was that slot. So you'd have two potential "approvals" with the vote.In post 1793, Juri wrote:

You were gearing up to be the main wagon, and then you call out the lack of voters and follow it by a vote with a recent scummy mention.
It looks like someone trying to start a viable counter wagon.
The reason I haven't voted the slot yet also plays into my concern with the timing. See, Impoetic feels scummy in her ISO, but she had a few non-game-related posts that were boldly ignorant, which makes me question whether it was her personality/playstyle that bothered me in particular.
Her replacement gives us a fresh chance to read her slot sans personality, but you voted the slot before Titus actually did anything. Unless you were super sure (which you've since admitted you're not), it makes no sense for town to vote a replacement slot during the replacement period.
It was just all-around suspicious timing.-

Buddying isn't a thing when you're dead. And yeah I should have been clearer about the momo thing. I'm not willing to lynch him today, I just think his is a posting style which I can't help but look at as scummy despite myself. I'll be trying to evaluate him in other ways.
