I asked for your read on Marcrell a while ago, also regarding your not liking my theory I am going to take us all back to the age-old-argument of no-lynching D1, because if we don't get a pokemon to faint D1, its essentially the same. We go into D2 with less useful information especially because we can't determine alignment based on who is what pokemon. I am not exactly sure how many hits we need on someone to get them to faint, but my guess is that we will need at least a majority of hits, if not more.

we aren't lynching here so no lynch arguments are null. There isn't a whole lot of history with this game type to go off of, but I doubt anyone is dying day 1. The whole thing with lynching is that either a limit of votes is acheived or it isn't. We don't have the incentive here to "vote" together. We can each do our own thing and still have our actions accomplished. I am not saying that that is the best strategy to go for here, but it's probably what will happen. It opens up strategies for reckless people (like random) to do whatever they want without feeling like he is affecting the town (this assumes he is town, and I'm reading him as such). I don't have a move to get rid of an item, so unless we all hit him AND have faster speed stats then him, he is getting his move off and be burning someone who probably doesn't have the ability to get rid of it either without using their money to buy a new one. If you happen to have wasted your money already or spend it in the next phase, you may end up getting burned for several days.

tl;dr - don't try to fit lynching strategies into this game, figure out a new one.

expanding on my previous post. targeting here doesn't necessarily mean I want to kill you, or that I will attack you. My targeting Kari was more for reaction than anything.

I'll be pretty open about what I plan on doing, and let you all decide if you like or not. I have a move that makes your attacks less powerful. I plan on using that move on whoever I end up targeting. It won't damage them, but it will weaken them. Why am I using this? because I don't have a solid scum read yet. I would like to see who targets who, what the result of those targets are, and have a chance to question those people why they attacked/status effected/traded items with/etc that player. Being attacked doesn't mean end of the game for you in this setup, there are heals, and protections (i assume), that can save you from close to death.

tl;dr I am stalling having to attack to be on the safe side and I am not hiding it.

We can have a two, or even three top choices that everyone targets. People doing bits of damage here and there is not the way to approach the game and I think it's anti town to do so.

Aka, Lucky wants to use Growl. Common move, doesn't tell us much, but is a safe claim relative to a strategy town would take over scum.

Just a thought on this; it doesn't make Lucky town to be doing this. If scum see their buddy coming under heavy fire and likely to be targeted by many people, a great way of keeping their buddy alive would be to weaken the attacks of the people targeting their buddy.

I'm not suggesting this is what Lucky is doing; I'm just saying to keep this in mind.

I may have not said it directly, but I've made my motives clear. I will not be targetting the people I want dead, just the people I want to handicap. I don't like giving town reads because it encourages confbias and prejudice and gives scum I've mislabled a direction but I will say burn is not a town read. Despite my agreeing with them on that point, I am uneasy over the slot. Given current targets, I'm happy with where I am now on Marcell.
