Initially, I thought that Randomidget might be scum trying to look like town having purchased a low costing item which is why I was asking about the item itself. Then A Simple Plan started talking about the probability of him

being Dark-Type-Pokemon and I kinda changed my mind. THEN I was thinking about strategy and was like... if scum are all dark-type pokemon, this game would be easy cause their special attacks all have status stuff that would be easily traced back to them. So I began to think about how the mod was going to get around all of the evidence left behind from attacks and started to re-read the OP when I realized that scum aren't bound to Dark-Type-Pokemon. They can be any type, which then gave me a solid starting point to get some reads on people.

A Simple Plan is almost certainly town for not realizing this as I took most of what his trying to solve this game dealt with trying to find who the dark-types were.
Marcrell and Rando jumped to the scum-side of my reads after I read:

Watch out for item effects as well. Town could only buy certain items, people with ones costing more have to be scum, at least before some people faint.

Why would town-Marcrell say this in the thread? Why wouldn't town-Marcrell keep this strategy for scum-hunting to himself? He would be more than capable of watching out for item effects himself and revealing that smoking-gun when it presented itself. By stating this as town, he is at the very least alerting any scum who didn't realize that using a more expensive item than town would have been able to buy to not use it until it couldn't be verifiably traced back.

I believe that Marcrell was trying to draw attention to this type of scum hunting BECAUSE Randomidget purchased an item that was well within a town-budget, and was mod confirmed that he indeed purchased said item. He was trying to get people to realize it without directly stating it himself. Highly likely that Marcrell and Rando are on the same team. At the very least, his comment was pretty anti-town.

Top that off with a lack of strong opinions/attacks and a final vote for a weak/easy target. I think Marcrell is a strong contender for who should be targeted for elimination this phase.

If you are trying to argue that it was a random vote between us three, thats fine. But it wasn't random in that he went eeny meeny miny moe between the entire player-list. It was a vote with thought and intent behind it. I can't answer on the reasoning as he himself isn't speaking on the subject either. Although I am glad you don't like lazy votes.

Also, I don't think it wise to end the target phase with attacks spread out. Ideally, we should all be targeting one, maybe two people collectively. Getting the general population's hit points down makes easy sniping for scum. We should get a more concrete idea of a narrowed target list in the next day to leave us with three days to hash out any last-minute items so we aren't making rushed decisions.

I asked for your read on Marcrell a while ago, also regarding your not liking my theory I am going to take us all back to the age-old-argument of no-lynching D1, because if we don't get a pokemon to faint D1, its essentially the same. We go into D2 with less useful information especially because we can't determine alignment based on who is what pokemon. I am not exactly sure how many hits we need on someone to get them to faint, but my guess is that we will need at least a majority of hits, if not more.

Do you have a town-read on Random? The far-reach is the reason I am targeting Marcrell today and not Random. I do find it odd that Random is defending Marcrell. And actually, the fact that there IS day-talk/a pt for scum lends more credence to my theory that they could be working in conjunction as they could have pre-planned it out in their own pt.

I should have hit PN for 4pts of damage the first night, which should have been about 37%.

There were 5 people that attacked him, and someone lowered his attack so that means only four could have done damage. That means that the remaining three people would have had to do about 18% of damage, or 2HPs of damage each. I think it would be wise to go through ZZZX, Nyankotachi, and Lucky and have them figure out how much damage they each did, or if they used a move not damaging to see if scum are on that first wagon. This obviously won't be happening this target phase, but lets get it done to discuss and weed out scum during the next attack phase.

I've been going back and forth on BBT. Some days, I am sure he is town, then I read a couple posts, and it throws doubt. I don't like that he is the additional wagon to Mario though. I think I just like his contributions to the progress of the game mostly. I also think the thing I hate most is how much he has passively defended scum.

My pokemon was a beast! I had a feeling I was super strong after seeing the first two flips... also, HIGHLY doubt scum even had a chance, not with the town-slip making scum obvious if they had tried to attack him.
