Eviolite helps keep you alive; I see more scum motivation there than town. Granted, I also see why town would want to buy it. Buying eviolite does not lean towards any alignment. It also depends on the pokemon you were given.

This game could speed up if everyone gets there target's/actions in quickly, the Target Phase ends early if everyone has a target and the Attack phase ends with all actions beings sent. Due to the inactivity of a few players neither of these have been reached as off now, which is a shame.
