Fun fact; generally you can find roughly the number of scum in a game by dividing the number of players by 4.5.

9/4.5 = 2. This is standard.
13/4.5 = 2.88888888889. rounds to 3. This is standard.
17/4.5 = 3.77777777778. rounds to 4. This is standard.
21/4.5 = 4.66666666667. rounds to 5. This is standard.

25/4.5 = 5.55555555556. I believe that this number, being very close to 5.5, indicates that we could have 5 scum and a traitor in this game. A low-powered town with 5 scum and a high-powered town with 6 scum are also possible but I think it's fairly likely we're dealing with a traitor here which is why I thought almost's posting was a possible traitor crumb. Maybe I'm just crazy but maybe there really is a mafia traitor in this game.

I don't think this applies to mountainous but it does apply to a normal setup- you always get the normal number of scum - 0.25 and 25/4=6.25 so maybe there are just 6 scum, that would make sense. iirc mafia games get more scumsided the more players there are, though, so it's still POSSIBLE we have a traitor, just not as likely as I thought.

Feel pretty confident there's 0 scum in {perf, a50, hopkirk} but idk how to explain that to you. I played with perf on my old account as both scum and town and I don't think I ever read him incorrectly, but he's massive mislynch bait in general, partially because his tone is awkward and unnatural to most people? Rampage of course. FL, Kublai, Jarjar are my scumleans. There are likely plenty of inactive scum, but that goes for every game. Wavemode for me is a top choice among them but it's hard to tell.

Well, the thing I quoted and the fact that you suddenly are trying very hard to disrupt the Osuka-wagon and start a counter-wagon. You've noted 3 out of 9 to be scum-reads for you, which means there's still 6 townies there. So even if you are town and 100% correct, it's still the biggest cohesive town effort all game and you're disrupting it.

WHAT SPECIFICALLY

was it about his posts that made you think: "Oh, only someone with a mafia PM would post this way".

The things that made me think he is the best vote are
a) Scum are likely to lurk out and try and avoid attention in every game, but especially this game I think unless their playstyle just totally contradicts to that- there are 25 players and town are likely to find some townie they want to mislynch in the early game if scum keep quiet. Obviously WM isn't the only quiet player but he does fit this description.
b) I think that he is an example of a player who is more motivated and less apathetic as town than scum and more so than any other lurker so far.
c) He refused to engage in the hood as well and I think town who were feeling apathetic would probably at least try to engage in that private enviroment.
d) he came up with his policy of "d1 lynch will be on town so let's not do anything" when he had already started lurking in the early game.
e) He basically claims that his lurking is just because the game is large and 25p and 25ps are terrible but if he feels that way I have no idea why he signed up for this 25-player game. Like, even if you find the late game to be immensely interesting, you just replace into the game. We all know a 25-player game is going to have several replacements.
f) he jumps on the osuka and performer wagons which might not be convincing to a lot of people but it factors into my read because I townread both of those players and it feels like he's trying to put fuel on the fire for those wagons.
g) I overall feel like his lurking and actions are the most likely to come from scum, jumping onto town wagons to avoid a lynch and trying to avoid attention.

I'd also like to note that if anything the performer wagon feels like a counter to wave? Like, I'm not getting the argument that with some wagons existing previously, scum decided to suddenly bring up Wave as a counter to Performer, because Perf reached... three votes in a 25-player game?

It's true that wave has been lurking and not engaging, the point I was trying to make is that I feel wave is the scummiest lurker out there and it feels like what he's done is scum motivated. another thing I should bring up is that after getting wagoned he changed the behaviour that caused him to get wagoned- he no longer seems to believe in his philosophy of "go ahead and lynch me I'm just vt" and "We'll lynch town d1 so why bother lol"

It was not just tone. The content was just busy work, and the combination of things he mentioned were off.
My scumread on him is not based on that post alone. and why you say its not relevant to anyones alignment? he was "catching up" in that post and topic about various topics. It was a content he was generating. It was just forced.

Meh unsure about Lalendra. I know the way I play as mafia is to try and react to things as naturally as I can but of course other people can play differently.
