You should almost always wait to claim unless either you have a guilty (which you can still wait sometimes if you don't think you will be NKed) or you are at L-1 and it looks like you are going to be lynched. IDK what you were at, but I don't think you were at L-1 and I know no one claimed intent to hammer you. You should have waited, you might have been able to get another result. You still might be able to, but that is dependent on what Scum do, so you have no control over it now. Its also early in the game day so the wagon could have very well moved off you.
